Hey ur South african bro here when using sputnik sinker make ur line bit longer than ur hook line won't tangle so easy and try using foam on ur hooks to help ur bait float especially when using daed bat even on shrimp u can use cotton so u don't lose it easy have a nice one
how do you manage to use live shrimp? I just came back from florida on a 2 week trip. was so excited to use live shrimp for my first time, and all the little guys tear up the shrimp in seconds before i can get anything. i use the sand fleas here in jersey. ive had some luck but again, therye torn up so quick some times. i keep them out there and idk how long an empty hook has been there bc theres no actual bite detected.
Mike!!! Get you a flow troll bucket, you can tie to a rope and a stick or something and it won’t float away on you, and will keep your bait and secure with its spring lid and alive for longer because it will constantly change the water in the bucket as it floats
It helps to know about the tidal range in your area and about spring tides and neap tides when you are fishing the beach. Tides come in slowly to begin with, quickly in the middle of the flooding tide and then slow down again before they start to go back out. Known as the rule of 12ths
That was quite an event there. Fish gets grabbed for lunch, shrimp see their opportunity and book it, if your rod had bent in half at the same time it would have been perfect lmao.
we use a little Engel 7.5QT cooler and they have them with rechargeable bubblers. they work great and keep bait cool. just change the water out occasionally
I know you’ve mentioned it before but I think a cart for hauling all your gear would be nice too, especially if it had like a little anchor or something so it doesn’t get carried away just in case .
Go to where the sand is somewhat wet. Put spike in. Suck the air out while pushing down on the spike. Looks wild but works like a charm. I use 5 ft spikes and sink them like 2 ft
Cut a V shaped notch into a piece of pvc and use a rubber mallet to hammer it into the ground. Your bait bucket should have a handle and that handle will fit the notch
Awesome vid and yeah it looks like hard work. Only thing is to make sure your hands are fully wet when handling a speckled trout that you plan to release. Their scales are sensitive. Also carabiners, ropes and rings help to secure gear.
Engel live bait cooler. I have a 13 qt. It's not too big but you can get one half that size if you want one more compact. They come with a nice, quiet, rechargeable aerator. A little more $$$ than the little bucket, but MUCH more durable.
Dude, I told you once before, just put your rod holder in a bit and put your mouth on it and suck in a huge breath while pushing the rod holder down at the same time. Works a treat. It kinda works like that bait pump you made. You'll be amazed at how well it works!
I’m out here in Miami for the week and I caught a bigass 15 lb Jack I’m so hype…what part of Florida is best for Pomps and flounders ?? Any help will be much appreciated I’m here for a couple more days left
Hey firststatefishing I use and love Engle live bait coolers I have a 7.5q one i use and it’s amazing will hold ice and cold for 12+hours look them up their worth every penny
surf fishing.. anything that can happen, will happen.. like when i swam out to a sandbar and back, and my reel handle spun off and disappeared somewhere in the process.. yeppp lol
Watching you from Klamath Falls Oregon at 56 I am still trying to learn how to catch a fish .. getting really tired of watching all this politics junk on the Internet and TV.. you just talk fishing
When the bird took the fish I couldn’t stop laughing 😂😂😂

Ek ook van SA 😂
that gopher tortoise you saw at the end there is walking into the surf to clear itself of any parasites it might have, pretty cool behavior to witness
I didn't know they did that, I thought he had just finally had enough
That’s pretty cool I was wondering why it was b lining for the water like that
nice to see the surf fishing videos back
Definitely like to see more surf fishing
Man that beach looks so wholesome, and that fish at 14:20 looked like a trout almost with those dots, just beautiful :D.
Surf fishing FSF is BACK BABY!!! 🔥 editing and quality bro!
Bruh this man set that fish up with that seagull 😂😂
😂😂😂” I didn’t mean to do that”

Murphy's law fishing. I've fed birds on accident but once on purpose when a great blue heron was hanging out with me and I caught a pinfish.

Love the vids! I went surf fishing a bit ago and had so much fun!
i like the 5 hour period when the tide is coming in or out, like 2 hours before and after the peak of the tides and the hour of the tide.
Engle bait coolers. They now have rechargeable aerators now. Iv'e had my cooler for a while but just got my new rechargeable aerator and I love it.
i was sooo happy when i saw first state uploaded
That was quite an event there. Fish gets grabbed for lunch, shrimp see their opportunity and book it, if your rod had bent in half at the same time it would have been perfect lmao.
Please for the Love of God, tell us WHERE YOU ARE FISHING!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for being here!!
Your welcome @@FirstStateFishing
Damn the bird then the shrimp 😂
Should've lost way more shrimp for that lack of awareness
I hope you guys have great day
I hope you have a good day waffle
Need to find a pier with some lights to go night fishing with live shrimp
incoming tide towards high tide is the best
I know you’ve mentioned it before but I think a cart for hauling all your gear would be nice too, especially if it had like a little anchor or something so it doesn’t get carried away just in case .
I got on some bluefish at the Indian river inlet last week and. Caught 3 over 20” one was close to 30”
Bird thanking you for the meal Frfr.
Whenever you come up to Virginia you should try fishing colonial beach pier if you want a challenge for catching big fish “only when it’s hot”
Go to where the sand is somewhat wet. Put spike in. Suck the air out while pushing down on the spike. Looks wild but works like a charm. I use 5 ft spikes and sink them like 2 ft
pantai yang sangat cantik pasti ikan pun banyak..

I'd love to see u do either a pier or surf fishing at night using either shrimp squid or mullet
I would say definitely a moving tide is best.... Catch it coming in then high tide then out going

Funny how Murphys Law takes over when your fishing. Been there so many times. Incoming tide keeps you on your toes. Thanks for not editing it out. Lol
You need to invest in a cart or make one in a video.
Love the videos ... keep up the great work 👊🏽‼️
P.S. could you slide the handle of the bucket over one of the rod holders ?
Come on down to St Augustine. Matanzas Inlet bridge catching some giant redfish.
Academy has the bait coolers between 45 to 60 just depends on the size you would want
tiger shores beach in florida with live or frozen shrimp you will catch tons of fish here! I caught 4 snook last week with frozen shrimp there
LETSSSS GOOO!
Ayyyyy🎉
when the tide is too far to catch the rod and position the live bait until it falls into the waves🙂
Someone reaaly need to buy a cart to put a chair in and a cooler. Would be great to avoid a bucket to try to run away too.
Should get that rake and do and cast what you find challenge

when your rod bends like that it is a crab playing with it
Cool!
Bait bucket keeps falling over, proceeds to set bucket back in tide. Had me yelling "WHY!" at my monitor... LOL
What is your favorite fish to catch?? 🤔🎣
Mine kinda changes but I really like redfish and striped bass.. and of course a nice thick bluegill
i love topwater snook
Freshwater is flathead catfish. Saltwater is either pomp or makeral
@@jackplayswarthunderdude that sounds so fun
@@urbansteelfishing6905never caught a flathead that’s definitely on my list!!
Hey FirstStateFishing, may i ask what size of hook do you normally use for surf fishing?
Did you hook the shrimp through the head
FIRST YOUR VIDS ARE GREAT
Ayy thank you!!
A piece of velcro on your rod rest tie the handle of your bucket to it stop you walking back & foward
Hey bro, just an observation.. I was thinking you could loop the buckets handle around the pvc rod holder b4 you put your rod in it. Tight lines! 🫡
Are you an ocean scientist?
Fish in san antonio some time
Let's go
👍👍👍👍
Put some heavy shells at the bottom of the shrimp bucket so the water won't take it
Dude, I told you once before, just put your rod holder in a bit and put your mouth on it and suck in a huge breath while pushing the rod holder down at the same time. Works a treat. It kinda works like that bait pump you made. You'll be amazed at how well it works!

Frabil Universal Bait station. Insulated, doesnt tip, comes with an aerator, kinda pricey @ $60 thou. Wish it was cheaper but ive been happy with it
Hey man Im going deep sea fishing tomorrow do you have any last moment tips?
Hey what's your top 5 lures
I have a foam one that slides into a 5 gallon bucket and keeps water cold they sell at Walmart
Oh? I thought sand crabs were a california thing - having moved recently to florida, I'm glad to see thats not the case!
Bro Hey Dude got some nice shoes for fishing they dry quickly also.... Because Crocs are so uncomfortable least imo anyways....
I feel like it’s a little easier with tide going out
What reel and rod are your using ?
FirstStateFishing what rod and reel combo is that i want to get me one PLS answer i rllllly want it❤❤❤❤❤
that poor whiting
for sand fleas look for groups of v’s in the sand they should be there.
surf fishing.. anything that can happen, will happen.. like when i swam out to a sandbar and back, and my reel handle spun off and disappeared somewhere in the process.. yeppp lol
Under 30 minute gang
man keep the bait out of the water 😂😂
Get a metal clothes hanger and bend it to hang the bucket on the rod holder
Idk if you know but. Search for V's in the sand for sand fleas
🐢
Coming across a video you made 7 years ago makes you look way different
What’s up with firststate camper?
