I had family members constantly telling me to "put some meat on your bones" I wanted to keep my shirt on all the time because you could see my rib cages. Even though I ate normally and had not health conditions. Genetics is a huge factor in how you look, it sucks to be to skinny or too fat.

    • @zoro-i8u
      @zoro-i8u 6 месяцев назад

@@zara8058 so her "pretty" might just be average.
a good friend of mine, who is nigerian, got married a few years back. if you are not aware, nigerians (i am half nigerian myself) LOVE to get married.
BUT on these wedding days, the woman may put on a lot of makeup, to hide anything she may feel is ugly. but it may go above and beyond, and can be overdone. he told me that that night they were in the same bed, but when he woke up in the morning, and she didn't have the same face the night before, he shrieked. now that shouldn't have been a surprise, but that goes to show how deceptive makeup can truly be. western women do the same thing, and social media inflates their egos and heads with vapid flattery, telling them how they are "baddies", and she slayed, when they are merely drops in a vast ocean. there is nothing special about their physical appearance. a small percentage of women are actually pretty - and that's without makeup.
moreover women will date up with their made-up faces, going for men who would be out of their league without that makeup, and then actually pull said men, when the underlying beauty is very rarely ever there.
women who look good without anything on are best. men go everyday in public without makeup, you can do it too. if you get laughed at, then you have taken a step in the shoes of hundreds of millions of men.
also, you just admitted you're ugly? you said you balance it out. well i guess if your balancing out is layers and layers of makeup, foundation, blush and more then you must REALLY be ugly. improve yourself and you might not have that issue.
you probably won't read this whole thing anyways though.

What do u mean not a choice? It is a choice. Someone above said they’ve gained weight due to meds but taking meds IS a choice. U can also choose to not take it if ur so unhappy with ur body (choosing how ur body looks over mental health) Not everyone who takes those meds get fat. I’m not saying they’re wrong to take the meds, I’m saying they made that choice since they valued mental health more.

It isn't always mental health medication that causes weight gain as well; certain heart medications, for example, can cause weight gain.
Medication is a choice, you're right, but no doctor would ever tell you to prioritize not gaining weight over taking medication.

Ur right on the mental health affecting physical health vise versus tho, but I don’t think it’s right to say “I didn’t have a choice” when they did, they just chose the best choice for themselves even if it resulted in weight gain. A better way of putting it can be “I’ve gained weight because I chose to take medications for my health” as “I had no choice” isn’t valid as there’s always choices to choose from and unalive will always be one of them

@toyotawitha20mm35 not really sure that's good advice in the long run. It's high calories, yeah, but extremely bad for you. My ex-boss' friend died that way. Because his metabolism was so high, he ate tonnes of fast food thinking "its okay, I'm not getting fat so.." and died of a heart attack at a young age because of it. Fast food is very damaging for your body, organs, etc and layers your organs with visceral fat, a very deadly form of fat.
There are healthy foods that are high calorie as well. Just eat lots of chicken and rice based meals with some vegetables in for balance and nutrition. And steak, which is an amazing source of iron too. Nuts are also good to put weight on and are much healthier than artificially filled burgers that'll grow you a third testicle.

Some people have health conditions preventing them from losing or even gaining weight. I am underweight despite trying to put on weight due to health reasons and people either tell me to just eat more or call me anorexic which is essentially telling an overweight person to just eat less or calling them a binge eater or something. That’s not the case all the time, I have severe stomach issues and eating more does nothing to help because eating too much will simply hurt me and in severe cases I will end up in the hospital from it. My body simply rejects food easily and I have to be very careful in order to manage it. Not to mention things like thyroid and metabolic issues. And even if someone is anorexic or has binge eating disorder, that is something not in their control either. Nobody wishes to have a mental illness and if it were so easy for them to get over that, nobody would have them in the first place. It’s like telling someone that to fix their depression they have to stop being depressed. Not helpful at all bc it’s caused by deeper underlying issues and you’re not even qualified to help them. Not liking overweight bodies simply because they’re unhealthy is fine, but what about all the successful and highly praised underweight models ? That’s not healthy either. What’s the excuse for that hypocrisy? We should all advocate for health. But shaming people for their body (too big or too small) isn’t right. It’s their body, not yours. And you don’t know what their story is. They might have a medical condition or they might have a mental illness. It’s more common than you think. Maybe they can’t exercise for physical reasons or they don’t have enough time/energy. And it’s none of your business. You’re not their doctor. Nobody needs your fake concern over their health. Even if you’re unhealthy, you can still love and accept yourself even if you’re still trying to become healthy. People act like it’s a crime to be fat sometimes and it’s ridiculous. Whereas other than being called anorexic or too thin (which is still hurtful tbh bc I struggle so much behind closed doors with my health) it’s nothing compared to what fat people get. Sometimes I even get praise for being too skinny and people asking me my “diet” etc. and they’re praises to them, but not to me who has to live in a sick and unhealthy body just wishing I was healthy and free. This isn’t even going into the whole body positivity movement or the perception of beauty enforced by the internet or celebrities. This is just the reality of things for the people actually living in unhealthy bodies and feeling trapped in them yet being blamed by others telling them they’re just not trying hard enough when you don’t even know the first thing about them or how they’re struggling. Being unhealthy isn’t good obviously, but don’t be too quick to judge. Don’t act like you know everything.

Okay, the problem here is twofold.
On one side, you have the irony of a morbidly obese woman (as an obese man, I refuse to use the term 'plus size' as it encourages obese people to accept what they are as who they are) being all for body 'positivity' but degrading someone because they're skinny.
On the other side, from my POV as an obese male, 'skinny' people have it so much better off socially and romantically than us. It is proven that obese people are ostracized and less likely to find love or make friends than 'skinny' people.
Not to mention the culture (especially among women) of obsessing over being 'skinny,' (sometimes to the point of being anorexic yet still believing they aren't thin enough, or starving themselves or becoming bulimic, or trying to hide what they perceive as 'fat' by sucking in their abdomen and/or wearing tight undergarments) which is perpetrated by these influencers.
No, I am absolutely NOT siding with the obese woman, but I am also by no means defending the thin influencer. Also, message for the simps, the thin influencer is mid af. If it weren't for the fact that she is morbidly obese, I'd say the obese girl is absolutely gorgeous.

It’s genuinely so bizarre how people care this much about weight. Never have I seen people care this much about other people’s health issues except pertaining to being overweight. You know why? It’s not about health, it’s about looks. People don’t like looking at fat people, especially women (like having a “dad bod” isn’t considered a bad thing, nor should it be but still) so they pretend to care about the “health issues” and ignore that fat people can not only be healthy, but also sometimes it literally is not a choice. Like, I was underweight and sick for years! No one cared (except my parents) because I was “so lucky to be skinny”. It took me FAINTING to finally take appetite stimulants and gain some weight, and even now I’m still really thin. But when a complete stranger DARES be overweight, it’s all “THATS SO UNHEALTHY!” “What a waste!” “You’re going to die if you keep that up!” “Just work out” and more!
