If you liked this one, check out last year's soybean harvest video: ruclips.net/video/GGZsRbYLeo8/видео.html Some really good commentary with my dad in that one too.

Cherish each and every moment you get to spend with your dad Tim. This has been my favorite video you've made thus far. I'm also certain that this video will become your favorite video too. God bless you and your family. Your dad is a genuine hard working man. Apples don't fall far. :-)
+Jon Ritter yes, very special video for our family. Did you see last fall's soybean harvest video? Dad was great in that one as well. Thanks for your kind comment!
+Jim Clark we try to cherish every moment. However, I'm sure we take it for granted sometimes. Dad has a long medical history. Heart bypass surgery, type II diabetes, prostate cancer, brain cancer, which nearly blinded him. He lives every day now just like you saw in the video. Basically deciding to enjoy every moment God has given him!
Hi Tim , many thanks for taking the time to share with us and the ones who truly appreciate a farm. Years ago I grew up on a farm and we are trying to get back to that kind of life. Cherish the time and moments you are truly blessed. :--))
Hi Tim and Family. I watched the video today of you riding in the combine with your dad harvesting corn. Tim, thanks for sharing. My dad, though not 85, is getting up there in years and I try to do as many projects with him as we can. Your dad is a great and humble man-it shows in the video. Thanks again for sharing. It hit home. Enjoy him and tell him I am impressed at how well he gets after work at his age.
Thank you so much for making videos like this. Your father seems like a great man. Older farmers like him are full of knowledge, I could listen to what he has to say all day. You're doing a good thing documenting times like these.
I would expect nothing less for Pioneer corn! Outstanding yields. Your dad, Ray is a great man and I always enjoy talking with him. In my option I believe that Ray and Tom and Randall are true stewards of the land and top notch, excellent farmers.
Enjoyed the video, Tim. It's great that you get to spend time with your family, especially your dad. And I had the pleasure of meeting him and some of your other family members back in Feb. 2017 at the Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY.
This is a GREAT video especially for someone, like me, who has never even been close to an operation like this. I learned a lot, it never even dawned on me that corn has a higher moisture content closer to the trees than i the open?? I am from the city. This video gives me a lot of respect for the farmer. THANK YOU ALL. Even reading the comments here has taught me a lot. I am 70 years old and I know I have missed out on this part of the world. Thanks for the video!!!
Wow! Thanks for the comment! So many folks say that the farmers are not as knowledgeable as the city folks. We try to show just a bit of what REALLY goes on around the farm.
I could have watched you and your dad harvest the whole field. It makes me remember when I was very young and my dad was still living. He took me for a couple of rounds around our field in the combine harvesting wheat.
God Bless our farmers. Tim this was a very inspirational video. I thoughly enjoyed this video educated me as well. IM pretty much a city guy and never been around large farming operations just some small ones. YOur Dad seems like a great hard working man. Same as my dad mine is 81 and still in good health he has retired and enjoys playing gold and spending time with mom. Most of my life he wasn,t home much he traveled for a living always had a sales job and was gone all week most of the time. He also worked for the Gideons full time from 1966 to around 1972 or 73. I as you was raised in a conservited Christian home thank God everyday I was.
Really good to see your dad still going strong too many people give up at a certain age in the uk he really loves farming my ambition to be like ur dad going strong and still loving farming
Thanks for watching and commenting, Todd. Similar perspective to us at this point. I’ve spent my entire adult life like a fish out of water in suburbia. So, hopefully that perspective helps the videos.
That was a superlative video in so many ways! I always wondered about this process and to see it with your Dad and the entire family is a real treat! Thanks, Don
I am blown away by your dad! What an amazing guy, the knowledge & wisdom he has. It would just be great to ride around with him to hear his stories, to gain some of that knowledge! Wow what a great video!!!
Tim, I love this video. At 85 it’s great to see your dad embracing technology. I’m 67 and doing the same. Hope I’m still doing what he is doing when I get to 85 and beyond!
this is the reason why i do what i do. God bless you and your family, every time i see your dad it makes me smile, thanks for the videos and keep em comin
Great video Tim! Learned so much from you and your dad in just 30 minutes, Then I think I've ever learned following and watching pure farming channels lol. Thank you for bringing us along and thank your dad too! Ready for part 2! :)
I truly admire families like yours Tim. Everyone working together to get the job done to carry on such a wholesome tradition! I drive a grain truck for a farmer near me during harvest season. Thanks again for sharing the video and I truly enjoy it here in Delaware!

Sure glad you got to spend time with your dad. Don't ever take that time for granted and also archive those videos. I've got none of my dad unfortunately. Thanks for sharing your dad with us😃
I retired a few years ago after 40 years of making on farm calls. I really love watching your videos. Brings back very fond memories of how much I loved being on the farm.
Thanks for giving us a glimpse of farming in the 21st century. It's come a long way from when I was a kid and we picked corn with a single row, New Idea picker!
+Jim Clark yes, exactly. They quit picking corn on the ear when I was 2-3 yrs old. I do not remember it. I DO remember some discussions about 'are we gonna pick any this year', so I think I remember the first year they did NOT pick corn on the ear. Also, I remember seeing the picker in the shed. It was a front mounted Oliver picker.
Amazing to watch.I farmed a lot of years.Health made us sell family farm.To see an 85 year old talk and run that combine while you chew his ear off.is something else.I was the combine operator. It is no easy job.I know your Dad has lots of help but still, what a man. Thanks!!
Oh what a blessing !!! To sit beside a mountain of knowledge and to call him Daddy!! Thank you for sharing with us Tim !! This video is right up there with the one you made after Cary ' s promotion to Glory !!! Again thank you my friend!!! Love it !! Be safe and God bless you and your family !!!! Eddy
Just found this video but can tell already that you guys are good folks especially since you are working with your Dad. Amazing how he is embracing the technology. :) If you haven't watched them, check out How Farms Work and The Rest of the Story to see how two young farmers in Wisconsin are working their family farm.
+jbmbanter welcome! Check out our other videos. This particular one is the first of 4 shot on the same day. Each with a different focus and perspective.
Thanks Walter. This is one of my favorite videos. Very special to me. Dad just had a heart attack, and may not be able to do much spring planting this year.
Your dad reminds me of my dad. He farmed for 50 years in SE South Dakota. Once in a great while they would get some 200 bushel corn but not very often. Btw... farmers are some of the smartest people I've ever known. Your dad seems like he's definitely an intelligent man. You have to be to be successful in farming in this day and age.
+Kary Gregoire yes. Did you notice how well he could navigate all of those monitors, watch the corn head status, and talk with me all at the same time? He does quite well for 85!
tim love these videos in the 80s i use to help my neighbor family with this corn harvesting than i was just a 10 to 14 year old boy thinking i was a big shot farmer from driving the harvester to the truck taking the corn to here at the time agway today my friends parents have passed on and the land sold off to build houses in wilson new york
I have to agree that this video was and is priceless. so glad u can enjoy ur dad like this. my dad would of been 84 this spring if he was still alive. funny-but like ur family has gotten so far in their lives, as far as such nice equipment. thinking the same thing for my dad. when i was a kid-he rolled the logs up on the truck by hand. when i was along i had to help too. a few yrs before he quit-he had a what we called a cherry picker mounted right on his tandem log truck. so much easier then. but look it took him his life time-same as ur dad and his equipment too. thanks for the video. i wish everyone who was on u-tube could make the same type of video too.
> i wish everyone who was on u-tube could make the same type of video too. Well, if they did, then no one would watch ours :-) I'm glad you enjoyed it. Pretty emotional video for us, especially seeing first-hand the struggle he has getting up the combine ladder.

Nothin better than eating Nilla wafers with milk in the office watching 2 guys harvest corn and talking about farming Technics. As a Florida Tomato grower I really did enjoy! Thanks guys! That old timer reminds me of my Father. I bet he's seen all the ins and outs, that's or sure.
Tim awesome video with your Dad and I hope that you are proud too. We get old like your Dad as I am at 77 but we still think young and we still never stop learning. We all so like the new technology as well and the new ways of doing things. Things in the past yes never leaves us but if you want to progress you still keep up with things. thanks for such a great video and I have subscribed to you.
Thanks for your comment, and thanks for subscribing. I love seeing folks progressive with technology in their later years. I've always been impressed with my dad for the same reasons.

Yep.
Best video yet Tim. They sure don't make men like that generation anymore. God bless
Thanks Tim. I think you are right. However, we should strive to have the same level of character and determination!
