Ben, speaking as a Chartered Accountant, You Got it - the difference between a legal expense and a "disbursement" is clear . Legal expense is the cost of legal advice. A disbursement is repayment of money paid out on the client's behalf by the lawyer. Problem is a disbursement has to be accounted for as what it is and Trump didn't want to show "hush money payment" in his accounts. There's a thing! How thick does he think people are?

If they find him guilty, Judge Merchan needs to imprison him at once. Trump's behaviour during the trial and multiple violations of his gag order should be taken into account when setting the sentence. He can appeal from his jail cell.
