I noticed that about this channel, a few years ago there was an AMD apu mini computer that was reviewed and I couldn’t ever find it for sale as well.
@christianjonker8181 It seems like these Chinese startup brands have realized ETA almost never says anything bad about any product and send him all their prototypes.
It's a reasonable business model. I'd never watch ETA for buying advice, but it's decent for showcasing stuff you might be interested in researching further.

Yeah,, those videos start making less and less sense now... ETA recevied the unit frm the manufacturer, but volume in Aliexpress is so low on it even never reach it... so those units are impossoble to get nowhere
I'm using a 17" laptop with the same CPU and GPU combo....32GB ram and 2 X 1TB NVME. Glad I'm getting about the same Timespy scores as you (slightly higher actually), though my temps are higher as well.

Hey bud , can we see some PS3 emulation at 4k and 1440p. I'd like to see how this thing would perform in that aspect. I have also been looking at these as I'm looking for a new dedicated emulation machine for the living room that can do PS3 and Xbox 360 at 4k . I clicked the link to this mini PC as soon as I started watching as I wanted to know the price upfront. The link went to a random selection of different mini PCs and not this one. Closed the video immediately as there is no point watching if the product doesn’t exist. And I started watching this video 18 MINUTES after it was posted!

clicked on the first item in the search result, base price 800USD, add option for RAM+SSD and CPU+GPU, the price changed to 2000. so it's just a smaller in size and probably no after sales support. might as well get an xbox series x or PS5 for 500USD
You said it, a laptop without a screen/battery and THAT'S what I wish these companies would start bringing out. The new Atomman G7 Rt with the 7945HX and 7600M looks promising, but that GPU for that processer is very under powered. I want that with a 4070 or even the 4090. I wish they would have stepped it up and gone with a 7900M. There's a market for those who want to replace their console with something like this for a better overall gaming experience with newer TV sets that can run 120hz at 1080, but don't want a full on PC so we can travel with it.
Systems like you're describing aren't typically much cheaper than similarly equipped laptops. The only benefit might be better cooling depending on the mini PC, otherwise just buy a gaming laptop?

Ive been using mini gaming pcs foe years from Zotac and one or two others. The big advantage is that they are wisper quiet and dont have a battery that wont be used and go bad nor a monitor I dont need. The overall size is significantly smaller than a decent gaming laptop.@vinyfiny
@@alphacompton I guess getting something with the performance of a gaming laptop in a smaller size is the primary appeal. You could build a faster desktop for less money but it'd be much bigger. Understood.
I'd like to see something in the shape of a UM780 XTX but taller with a laptop GPU under/above the motherboard. Or even an add-on that goes under/on top of the system with the same footprint that connects through the Oculink port.

A modular mini pc with a core module with an high end cpu (8945hx) with integrated graphic so it can run as standalone, a graphic module with a desktop grade gpu, connected either with a proprietary port or oculink, maybe with tiers so you can buy the best you can afford.
And if they can cool it down properly, I would dream to have it as flat as possible, so you can either attach it behind an 8" monitor with its battery and turn it into a portable pc/tablet or behind a 16" and use it as a standard laptop when you have to go around.
A lot of these mini PC's on AliExpress have Nvidia RTX 4060 GPUs. When are you going to review those ones?

Fyi, I got a Razer blade with rtx 4070. I scored 11968 on gpu and 10650 on cpu. For a total score of 11.749.
The 30 and 40 series aren't much different. Besides Nvidia frame generation, but with fsr3 becoming more and more adapted. Yer better of with a 30 series, save the money for ram upgrades.

IF I WERE A RICH MAN, I would absolutely start my own mini pc company and I would offer TWO models per generation. The high end and mid range. No low end. For example I would do something akin to a 7800x3d + 7900xtx in a mini-pc format, buying custom silicon from AMD. IF I HAD TO, I would just have someone design me a board that puts the 7800x3d next to the 7900xtx and direct connects the two, with memory (probably using the new CAMM2 for ease of use, mounted on the back of the pcb with an easy access panel for consumers to swap, same with m.2). And then a custom cooler that connects the cpu/gpu together with a giant fan. surface area is huge so the whole case would be the size of the cooler to ensure proper cooling. so it woudl be small, but efficient. The mid range model would be something akin to 6 core cpu with 7700xt or 7800xt (depending on my cost vs sale cost). and it would be epic.
I feel like modern video cars should have 12gb of on board RAM at a minimum. It's not even a big cost for them.

The cooling fan is too small IMO. They put a big heatsink, but it's a bit waste to match it up with a small fan. I really like to see the temperature come down more.

For me this mini PC is a nonsence. For same price you can get budget laptop, having screen, keyboard etc for free! What is even better, that for same price you can get 12500H and 4060.

What I don't get is that if it is possible to have an RTX 3070 inside this small of a case, what excuse is there for NVIDIA not producing low profile 3070s with a waterblock on it?
combine this to lossless scaling and it will be pretty good!
I have a GTX 1060 with three gigs of video memory and a i5 7600k and lossless scaling is absolutely amazing. It's given my machine legs that there's no way it would have on its own

You should definitely get the DLSS to FSR3 mod so you can use frame generation on that 3070. Maybe on the next video.

Indeed, even gen 12 would be good. Way lower power consumption and heat. Mix that with a 40series card and it's a winning combo.

Hey, I just wanted to mention that I think your Helldivers 2 game test is not a realistic view of the game, from what’s shown on the video it was made on difficulty 1, as you advance in the game the performance is heavily impacted, and from difficulty 7 to 9 the performance is super different, because there are more enemies and bigger enemies that only appear in higher difficulties, also, I think you made a mistake, you mention that it had DLSS enabled but Helldivers 2 doesn’t support DLSS/FSR/XeSS just linear render resolution scaling
I watched the credits on Helldivers 2 and it mentions FS, so they might be using AMD's upscaling and not just a scaler. Tbh I don't know for sure, but I thought I'd mention it

@@bandito241 I meant a standard case. When I looked on Aliexpress, the cost of one of these mini's with the RTX3070 was almost $1000 (US, it looked like). I could not find the model in the video and its price was not mentioned. It would be difficult to build a gaming computer with a full size RTX-3070 for $1000. I bought a used EVGA RTX3070 off of EBAY for $300 a year or so ago, for an industrial chassis computer (mostly as a current sink to stabilize its 1000 watt PS - lol), and it is a good performer.

As usual these mini PC's with dedicated GPU's don't make sense price-wise vs laptops. You're paying close to the same price as a similarly spec'd laptop but you don't get a screen, battery, keyboard, webcam, portability, or decent support (because most of these are sold by no name Chinese brands).
