  • The Seiko King Sumo SPB431J1 is a fantastic watch but is it really worth 1200 euro when the regular edition models cost around 800? Yes, the dial is gorgeous, it's also a limited edition but still... 1200€? However who am I to judge right? After all I bought the SLA023 not so long ago and that one cost 3K+ :DD

The size of the Sumo scarred me for a long time. But when I finally bought one I realised it actually fit my 17cm wrist and it has turned out to be, in my opinion, the best Seiko diver I’ve experienced

Sumo's really wear quite easy. It surprised me too. My MM200 is a smaller watch but feels bigger.

Very nice dial, but too big for me and my experiences with the 6R35 are not so good.

    Sumo is great.
I used to own a JDM SBDC069 “Blue Coral” 2nd gen Sumo.
Loved that watch, it was a stunner and very accurate too.
It even featured a signed crown, but no sapphire.
Picked it up mildly used for 400€, absolutely impossible to find it for that money now.
Sadly, I sold it a couple of years ago…

Yeah you definitely got lucky with the price. The blue coral is quite popular. The go for 800+ now :(

Another great offering from the best watch brand on the planet. Although this one is too big for my taste it has great looks.

Although their rise in prices… Seiko still rules!

Still better than current Breitling “packaging”. Bracelets/ clasps on Seiko and Grand Seiko are all cr*p

Pretty much, compared to most other brands. Mediocre bracelet, pretty bad accuracy and way more expensive than other Sumo's because it's "limited". It's a 600/700 euro watch, realistically (and yes I own a Sumo and other Seiko's).

This version costs 1100 euros not 1200. I checked the price in two official retailers.
