If you are in this just for the boxing then by all means stop at Rocky 4. But if you are in it for the life long love of Rocky and Adrian that you must see all 6. And 3 is my favorite.
Really depends on the mood I am in. Some days, I think the "life out of the ring" portion are the best.... and there is still something that kicks in on other days where I NEED to see all of Rocky's hard work pay off with winning.
I will always like one. It has such a real, gritty/dirty look. It didn't have a budget. In matter of fact it may still hold the record for lowest budget movie to win an American Oscar for Best Picture. It is so iconic . Factor in the steady cam was invented for Rocky and it is tough not to pick the first.
You really get to see the full life of a man (and his family). Such a rare thing, even the worst film in the series is better then most other movies, it's really just stellar how good they all were.
I have watched many first time reactioners go through entire Rocky/Creed series. Their viewers always tell them to skip Rocky V. While maybe not their fav, the first timers always like/enjoy it!! I think it's my generation (Gen X) who perpetuate these myths about forboden sequels, ie Rocky V, Godfather 3, Karate Kid 3.
@@Esco33 I was one of those people who just didn't like Rocky 5 when I watched it. I didn't hate it, but it felt like a sour ending to the series, then I watched it years later and I have no idea why I felt that way and agree anyone reacting should do the whole series, especially if you are in it for the characters.
@@MrNachoChannel The first time I watched it over 20 years ago I felt that way. But it has grown on me immensely since then. The older I get the more I find it relatable.
Just because some people say you shouldn't go further than the 3rd movie doesn't mean they all aren't worth watching, some are better than others but they are all still great movies and you can't miss one if you want the whole story which imo is a masterpiece as a whole.
Yeah, I always find it weird when people tell reactors to not react to movies, they aren't all going to be gems, just let them watch and react without built up expectations and judge for themselves
Get that statue back where it belongs! Those stairs are called the Rocky stairs for a reason, even I know that and I live "on the other side of the planet".
Definitely do Rocky IV, it's one of the best and extremely impactful. Rocky V is the one that goes off the rails and most people don't care for (still has a few good scenes though). Rocky Balboa which is the final movie is also very good and ties everything up neatly.
Rocky V gets way more grief than it deserves. The antagonists are very realistic and very common in the boxing world. And the family relationship issues are realistic and carry over into Rocky Balboa. When I was younger the movie wasn't my favorite of the franchise but as I got older I grew to appreciate it much more despite the minor missteps it has.
She should watch 4 and 5, but the quality of the films is terrible. I liked them as a kid but unlike the others, these two aged terribly. I’ve found that most people who love the 4th and 5th films loved them as a kid and just can’t be objective with something they like so much. And that’s understandable. But the 4th and 5th films are easily the weakest for several reasons. Especially the 5th one. The music is in is terrible, the film feels very different than the others, the acting from the villains is absolutely awful, I could go on.
I hope you decide to watch all 6. I cannot imagine why anyone would say stop after 3. As the series continues, Rocky & Arian's son becomes more involved. 1 & 2 are the beginning of Rocky & Adrian's character growth but their story and their love for each other is far from over. 3 & 4 belong together as their life's journey continues. 5 & 6 (Rocky Balboa) belong together as Rocky is dealing with life's journey when past his boxing prime. 5 isn't as well liked by everyone but has a very important part to play. 6 is surprisingly great and a wonderful wrap up to the Rocky series.
Rocky and Adrian's love-story STILL holds up as one of the best partnerships ever filmed. They really DO "fill the gaps" of each other. His outward personality is improved by her "quiet reservation", while her clear logical thinking really does put a limit to his "need to please others" at the cost of hurting himself.
If you really like Rocky's character, I recommend you watch all the movies (Rocky 3,4,5,Balboa (6) and Creed 1 & 2). You will follow the ups and downs of the Rocky's life. The quality is not always equal but they all worth watching.
Definitely one of the most entertaining and enjoyable reactions I’ve watched. Love how invested she was in it. It’s like she was watching a real fight.
Mick and Apollo are still two of the best characters ever written for different reasons. While Apollo's "ego" is clearly a problem for him to control at times... he KNOWS boxing in a way that most fighters can't seem to fully grasp. All the "pre-fight talking" is for the PRESS, not the opponent. Which is why his ego is so "out of control" because he has ALWAYS prepared for a fighter and won in the ring. Making his "pre-match show for the press" so ANNOYING as an opponent, because you KNOW he is going to be backing it up when it is just the two of you and the press isn't involved... inside the ring. So trying to match him "pre-fight" is POINTLESS. Which is why Rocky's friendly conversation ANNOYS Apollo's ego. It doesn't feed the hype, but Apollo (After the 1st movie) now knows that Rocky is that "silent threat" he has NEVER faced before and it SCARES him. Mick on the other hand? Well, can you find a more perfect example of "Tough Love"? I mean, yeah, that rugged outward presentation will unsettle a LOT of people. But it is true, from the heart, and his LOVE AND LOYALTY to Rocky is unmatched. Plus, we actually get to see that under all that "rough old man" presentation, there is a heart of possibly the most gentlest person around. And when Mick sees Rocky's devotion to Adrian in the hospital, I can't help but think that this makes Mick think that Rocky is far more "worthy" of helping because he has something OUTSIDE of the ring that will give him a purpose in life as well. Not to mention makes Mick feel a love for Adrian THROUGH Rocky. Just two of the best "complete characters" ever written, and yet it is amazing to think that "overall" they are NOT the main focus of the franchise the way Rocky/Adrian are. Most self-written stories would focus on the 2 MAIN characters more than anyone else .Yet Sly, wisely, gave us a COMPLETE universe of characters that stand the test of time by being REALISTIC.
Yes. Taping your hands and wearing it under your gloves is legal in boxing. It provides stability to the fists to help absorb impact and protect against fractures.
ROCKY 1 and 2 is more on life struggles and inspiration, ROCKY 3 and 4 is more focus on Boxing and also a Great Motivation movie to train hard, Rocky 5 and 6 is more about family, acceptance and moving forward with your life.
Rocky is not just movies, it's a whole era, it's art. There are parts that are better and parts that are worse, but be sure to watch them all to understand their greatness.
All the movies are good, there's no reason to skip any of them. They evolve for sure and the quality varies a bit, but they're all necessary to follow the ongoing story.
Your reactions to Rocky and Rocky II are just so good.... you went from not being into boxing films to yelling out "UPPERCUT!!!!!!" I watch a lot of reaction channels and you are a top-tier reactor to films and music (I subscribe to that channel, too) in My opinion. I hope that you see more 70's and 80's flicks. Thanks so much!
I can't believe after what 45 years and a thousand views this still brings tears to my eyes I remember those slo mo scenes and the Dolby sound in the theater those punches were LOUD they almost hurt
Can’t wait to watch #3 with you Bisscute. But remember it’s just a movie and Mr. T was a real decent guy in real life. Also fun fact, just before the movie was filmed he won the America’s Toughest Bouncer title.
You really put a lot of work editing this and it really showed. A really good balance of showing the best parts of this movie and the seamless flowing back and forth of your reaction. Your enthusiam shined through and it was a joy to watch.
It's so great when some women who react to the Rocky films start off saying "I'm not a fan of boxing, it's just so violent and primitive" and then 20 minutes later they are shouting "Hit him in the ribs! Break his nose! Keep your guard up! Left hook! Uppercut! Go for the kidneys! The kidneys! Knock him out!!"
One little thing people overlook that I love in this movie is in Rocky 1 Gazo's driver keeps giving Rocky crap about Adrian saying to "Take her to the Zoo!" So in this one he does and it ends with them being engaged which must have pissed Gazo's driver off so much!
I love the fact that you saw Apollo's Imposter syndrome, as that's what it was, he knew that if he wasn't the champ that the fight could have easily have been called the other way, and he needed it to be settled, he needed that rematch. Haha, also.. I love how animated you got in the fight. Passion is appreciated. Also, the notion that Rocky 4 is bad is insane, Drago is a must see.
Rocky III and Ricky IV are absolutely worth watching. They are good movies that are important plot points for all other movies, including the Creed movies.
Great reaction!!!! Please do all the Rocky movies. Don't skip movies just because some may not like them. Watch and judge for yourself. I Love them all, each movie is like a chapter in a book building the story and should be included. Thank you for your wonderful reaction.
Great reaction video. Happy to see that you're enjoying the Rocky movies. The second movie definitely does have you feeling down for a while but then it lifts your spirit with that amazing end fight.
I think they are all worth watching. The first 2 movies are 5 star movies. But even the worst Rocky is like a 3 star movie. Rocky 5 is usually considered the worst. But a lot of people put Rocky 6 (Balboa) up there with the fist 2 movies. And it would be weird to skip any along the way. I don't think you will regret watching them all. And I think the original gets my vote, I just love how well it was shot on such a tight budget and the story behind getting it made aswell.
Yes Rocky III & IV aren't at the quality as the first two pictures but they are really well worth watching, especially IV. If you're still invested in the story then do try watching Rocky V & Rocky Balboa as well just to complete the Franchize. Rocky & Rocky II are both incredible movies, I'm glad you love them.
The infant is Stallone's actual child, Seargeoh, his second eldest. The kid's only acting credit to date, if I recall correctly. Seargeoh is on the autism spectrum, and doesn't take well to being hounded by paparazzi and maintains his privacy. Stallone's oldest, Sage, is in Rocky 4 and 5, playing Rocky (Robert) Jr., the same role his brother played here.
All the tape is meant to protect the hands and keep the bones of the hands aligned properly for a more solid punch and reduce chances of injuring your own bones when punching. In the old days of boxing, they used to do it bare knuckle and this was good and bad in that a fight would end quicker because the fighters would injure their own hands too much to properly carry on fighting and the bad is that with all the tape and gloves it means that the fight goes on longer thus increasing the chances of head trauma and internal injuries to softer tissues and organs. Funny enough is that old school boxers trained to take punches to the hardest part of their skulls in hopes their opponents would injure their hands and Rocky practically does this since he barely blocks so it makes sense that he has issues with his eye and whatnot.
Here’s my take on the Rocky films and whether or not you should watch them all: I was born in 1980, and I grew up with 80’s movies. They have a certain cheesy flavor to them. You must appreciate them for what they are. Some of them are much more cheesy and low-quality than others. The first two Rocky films are fantastic. Great quality. The third film gets a bit silly with the addition of Hulk Hogan and the pacing of the film seems different than the others. But the third one also has Adrian’s best scene IMO. So I do still think the third film is pretty great. It teaches a great lesson. The fourth film is where things change. I loved it as a kid, and I still like it, and the training scenes are great, but this one is VERY 80’s. It’s got a very different feel to it. It’s silly and corny and the political message is delivered very heavy-handedly. It’s a fun watch but the quality is not here near as good. People argue is as good as the first three, but I feel like that’s more of their emotional reaction as opposed to being properly critical. The fifth one is absolutely terrible. The previous films had excellent music. The score in the 5th film is garbage. The plot could have made for a great film, but the film itself is very low quality in many ways. Rocky Balboa, the 6th film, is fantastic. You should definitely watch them all, and then watch Creed afterwards.
BissFlix… you crack me up!!! When you yell or get upset at the movie, you remind me of a female version of Adam Sandler!!! Keep the reactions coming. Take care!!!
Fun fact : In the beginning of the movie when Rocky and Adrian pass by the guys singing around the barrel - that's his brother Frank Stallone, who is a very good singer.
Love your reactions, you are really into it ...one of the all time classics. I remember waiting in line for multiple movies to play to get into a theatre to see this ... sold out everyday
You weren't wrong about "Adriana." Robert (Rocky) Balboa and Adriana (Adrian) Pennino were married in 1976. Since you've already seen Creed, I say watch all of them. 3 and 4 are my favorites because they're from my childhood in the 80's and I've seen them many times.
Rocky is a fighter. It’s not just WHAT he has, it is WHO he is. Ladies, don’t drag your man down. Raise him up in WHO he is. Do that, and he will literally take on the world for you
Nice reaction. May I recommend the Before Trilogy (co-written and directed by Richard Linklater) starring Ethan Hawke & Julie Delpy. It consists of three magnificent films: Before Sunrise (1995), Before Sunset (2004), and Before Midnight (2013), all made nine years apart. They are three of the greatest romance films ever made IMO. Best wishes x
I have never seen such a vivid reaction from you before. Keep watching other parts 3-4-5-6 I think you will find a lot of interesting things ... it will be even cooler ...
You should watch all the Rocky movies,, don't skip any of them, all of them have its pros and cons, but they're all good even the underappreciated Rocky 5
Amazing reaction! I’m so happy you love it and are invested. He’s such a great character and I love the story. I love that you enjoyed the ending and got so into it. Please please watch the rest. Don’t listen to the people that say you shouldn’t.
Keep going with the series and forget what other people tell you. Some are stronger than others but they’re all worth watching and the 6th one “Rocky Balboa” is one of the best.
I would watch them all. The only bad one is Rocky 5. But it's not that bad. 3 and 4 get a little unrealistic, but are very entertaining. And you need to watch them to totally understand the Creed movies.
Absolutely loved how invested you were in the fight! As for the rest of the series, Rocky III is well worth watching, $ and % skip, and Rocky Balboa (the 6th film) is the ending to the franchise that Stallone wanted so it too is well worth seeing!
Yo Biss! Great reaction! I don't know why anyone would say don't watch Rocky IV, it DIRECTLY ties into the Creed films, plus it's awesome in it's own right. So, should you watch BOTH Rocky III, AND Rocky IV?....Oh, absolutely!
19:38 "You could be whatever you _wanna_ be. You don't have to fight, anymore." Well, no, Adrian. He _can't._ That's the _point._ I mean, he wants to be a man with an _office_ job, but he _can't._ He wants to be a man who makes all the revenue he needs from _endorsements,_ but he _can't._ Above all, though, he wants to be a man who can provide for his _family,_ and this is the only way available to him that he knows he can _do._
The Rocky franchise is great! Keep going! You'll love it! I also recommend the Rambo series if you haven't seen them starting with First Blood!!! Sly is the best!
In Rocky 1 Apollo didn’t take Rocky seriously so he hardly trained. He was a business man. Just selling the fight. Look at his ring walk it was all showmanship. This time he is taking it serious and not underestimating Rocky
What Rocky was scraping were the grates that get filled with the scrap cuts from the cuts (steaks, etc). You gotta scrape them out, put them in big garbage cans, then bleach everything down afterwards. I worked in a meat market as a 16-year old.
Madalina - at 49:13 I LOVE your comment ... "(happy laugh) I've never been this involved in a fight in my life !" 51:22 "uppercut uppercut !!". 52:24 "I'm so HAPPY !!" I always LOVE your reviews !!

The last three minutes of this movie is my favorite moment in all of cinema.
Tony has good intentions for Rocky. When Rocky went straight he became proud of him and tried to help him do the right moves.

The hands are taped so that there is no movement inside the glove and you don't break fingers.
"I was wondering if you wouldn't mind marrying me too much"
Best. Proposal. Ever.
Here’s my take on the Rocky films and whether or not you should watch them all:
I was born in 1980, and I grew up with 80’s movies.
Nobody in 2023 should look down their nose at anything of the 80s and call it "cheesy".
This one is the greatest come back...he almost became a nobody again and he won. Lovely reaction! 😀
as an adult, this was my favorite ROCKY Movie
Hey good to see you again. Going to watch Rocky 2 with you....
BissFlix… you crack me up!!! When you yell or get upset at the movie, you remind me of a female version of Adam Sandler!!! Keep the reactions coming. Take care!!!
ROCKY 2 was Sylvester Stallone's heaviest weight in the entire series
I would love to see you check out the rest of the series. IV was my favorite growing up actually.
I have just one comment about your reaction, Bisscute...
"Win! just WIN!"
("What the Hell are we waiting for?")
🎞📽🥊🙆♀🤦♀🤷♀💛🖤
Don't listen to people, do all of the Rocky movies. They all are equally important in telling the story.
Watch what you want, buddy. Enjoyed your reaction.
Whoever told you to stop at three is crazy! Watch all of them! Rocky 6 is a must watch
That little hand wave and clap she did @ 52:26-52:28 made me laugh but was also so wholesome as well 😂
Definitely watch 3 & 4 at least. For the rest, up to you.
Rocky is a fighter. It’s not just WHAT he has, it is WHO he is. Ladies, don’t drag your man down. Raise him up in WHO he is. Do that, and he will literally take on the world for you
Awesome, Awesome reaction 👏👏👏👍👍👍 can't wait until you watch rocky 3.
That was great, you do it so well!
Thank you for continuing the journey. Hope you all are having a wonderful day.
It was one til today after I saw ur rocky theme song dance😂
Don't listen to the folks that tell you to stop at #3, you should definitely watch ROCKY IV.
You'll love #3 Watching Rocky become like Creed is interesting.
My favorite reaction of yours!
24:28 Biss, you made me spit my iced tea out, I laughed so hard 😂😂
Amazing reaction! I’m so happy you love it and are invested. He’s such a great character and I love the story. I love that you enjoyed the ending and got so into it. Please please watch the rest. Don’t listen to the people that say you shouldn’t.
Keep going with the series and forget what other people tell you. Some are stronger than others but they’re all worth watching and the 6th one “Rocky Balboa” is one of the best.
Only movies that start with "previously......on Rocky...." scenes
Yes, please go all Rocky 1 to 6 and then Creed, watching all of them will make you catch everything together, and it feels great.
I and II are a great start to the franchise, but III and IV are where it shines.
Best regards from 🇺🇾 I like the rocky saga great video 🤟🤪
🎉🎉. What a beautiful reaction 🎉. Please go for all the sagaaaa. A big hello from Colombiaaaa 🎉🎉🎉🎉
For a young woman who is not a big boxing fan, you sure get into the story and cheering for Rocky.
19:38 "You could be whatever you _wanna_ be. You don't have to fight, anymore."
Well, no, Adrian.
Oh I see, thanks for watching ❤️
Madalina - at 49:13 I LOVE your comment ... "(happy laugh) I've never been this involved in a fight in my life !" 51:22 "uppercut uppercut !!". 52:24 "I'm so HAPPY !!"
I always LOVE your reviews !!
Just watch them all. You're invested now. The story isn't over.
Rocky 4 is good, stop after it. Great Reaction.
