Not sure about the zip tie remark but the motors I have are coming off of a bugs 3 not sure what the size of them are but I figured at the most I could use the ESC with them I'm going to use the tri blades I've also got some coming I like them better than the two blades
Antonio compared to motorcross, that costs about 2500€/year+another 5000 for the bike. Fpv drones will get you set for less than 1500€ with some of the very best equipment out there. Fpv isn’t crazy cheap but considering my other hobby’s it’s not that bad.
Dan man i did motocross from Age 3 till 18. Had some really great sponsors so it was very cheap to ride. But now at age of 25 i want a hobby again but motocross is way out of price range with maintenence and stuff. So i wanted to race again and came up with FPV racing 😍😍. That feeling of putting an helmet on will never be compared with something else. But putting on some goggles gets me in the zone as well 😝
I like the mamba because it gives you the option to hard wire the ESCs to the board. Those connectors always short first. Comes loose. A motor will drop out and your drone will fall out of the air. If you rip hard, solder those wires to the pads rather then using the connector. Connector is easier, soldering is better and longer lasting
Couple of questions 1) How do you attach radio telemetry in case you want to control via a ground station 2) Do you have an auto mode and can you attach a GPS
With both my f722 stacks my blue tooth doesn't work. It shows up on the config but won't connect. Times out. Also both my FC the sbus inputs were bad. BOTH! Had to move to a spare uart.
Wired their now called "stacks" and sold as is. Back when i was building these on f4 boards we just built it all from selection. That was like 4 years ago lol. technology in this hobby is going HAM
Please get the Emax eco 2306 motors instead of the racerstar motors. They are just a lot better overall compared to the racerstar motors. Especially in the durability and quality control compartment.
The "D" in LED means diode. They are like a valve that only allows electricity to flow in the right direction. There is also a resistor. It makes me wonder how much power gets robbed from the motors. Probably not even enough to notice. Your motors will be somewhat protected from reverse polarity.
Pro tip- if you are not sure about your soldering, buy a multimeter and use it in continuity checking mode. Now just check the two solders whether they are short or not. We engineers use it all the time for our project. It makes life easy
I want to be a beginner but i want to learn about it a little, and i want to know how you know which wire goes on which place, like which color goes to the board to connect the antenna or something like that?
I’m new to drones and all, but I’m just trying to figure out what all these wires and motherboards or whatever they are called do, and how they work any suggestions on where to learn this?
With every FPV movie I have watched, I have an ever greater desire to build myself and learn to fly it. It is true that in Poland I have no parts available for them but what is the shipping worldwide. I wonder what my wife will say for another hobby. Only where should I raise money for this?
“sometimes hinder the quadcopter unflyable at times”. “Hinder” means prevent or impede. “Render” means to make something. So you should either say “sometimes hinders the quadcopter.” or “sometimes renders the quadcopter unflyable at times”. :)
Can you tell me what the total weight of this quad is? Just wondering, as with the regs here in Canada I'm wondering if it needs to be registered and if I need to get a drone licence. Thanks
Very nice video! Please make a review of the VTX, as I have never seen other people's experience with it. Is it good? Better than AKK infinite? Please let us know how the motors perform! I have had nightmare experiences with Racerstar. My first two builds were Racerstar and I got loads of vibrations and very hot motors.
Yo!!!! thanks forthe video;) is it possible to transferthis drone into digital in the future? i wanna get a digitalheadset and have best of both worlds or will i have to get 2 lots of headset
Hi DM. This was an awesome tutorial on a quad build, your step by step process was clear and precise. I could build a quad my self it was that good! I like how you tinned the connectors, and stressed the importance on not bridging the connectors. I can't wait to see this quad fly, and thank you for the amazing tips on how to build a quad! *LTRIP!™*
63/37 solder is better than 60/40 because it solidifies faster. There is less chance of you moving a wire while it cools. Don't use lead free solder. That stuff is too hard for most people to work with.
eachine ev800d is the best budget goggle. provides good large image, better than what you would get with aomway commanders for example, and the diversity receiver in it is better than a lot of expensive goggle receivers. you just don't look "cool" wearing them. grab a couple of decent antennas for them.
Great Video covers all the info i need to get started also very good quality. Don't know what camera you used to record but very clear and can see every detail. A lot of other video's are fuzzy and cant see what small components have printed on them so thanks so much for your effort.
its very very important as for the way he is soldering I wouldn't recommend the way he is doing it.... causes air bubbles in the solder and can burn the board connector I would suggest watching some soldering videos to learn the basics before trying to do it yourself
the other side of this is that you need to test the drone before taking it out just cause you want to make sure no smoke is present and you didn't short anything

Best advice ever
finally a good video on how to build a good quad. i’ve literally been so confused and you just cleared it all up. thx for making it simple
Now I just need to know how to configure the FC with the software. I don’t know things like UART or PIDs. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
PoloTechMan flite test seems to make good videos about that, or maybe rotor riot.

How long it's the fly duration about this drone?

The most comprehensive and in-depth drone soldering tutorial I've found. Thank you! ✌️👌
The best thing in the world when building.....is blu tac, stops everyting moving around when trying to solder anything. simple but effective
Thanks for sharing. My only recommendation is that you use a finer soldering tip and not put SOOO MUCH solder on the pads.
Haha my exact thoughts! I'm a bit OCD about my soldering... :-D

Very informative video’s. This one and the other FPV beginner guides. I’m tempted to build one....
That makes two of us!
Looks "simple" enough. I was donated a frame, motors, and an aio whoop board. I got all the missing parts.
Great tutorial.
Usually I don’t use these, but I will use these here :D love it
I feel like those beads of pre solder are a tad too big, dust is conductive as well
I've been cringing every time he put an iron to the board. Bad practice all around.
He is not the best at soldering, but all of the other material is great
You didn't mention anything about the batteries in the whole video, what batteries should I get?
