      Have either of you tried the alfa Romeo Mito?
      Just did a service on my mom's car.
      You need to take out the right front wheel, remove the wheel housing and if you don't feel comfortable bending a spanner for the job, need to remove an axle as well.
      Oh and did I mention that the oil filter is not one of those can ones that has female threads. It sits in a housing that needs to be opened and there is no chance getting a tray in there to catch the oil that comes out when you open it.
      Italian engineers, seriously...

    I used to work at a Chevy dealer until I went to an independent shop and GM recommended using their ACDelco dielectric grease on rubber seals to extend the life and soften them up. It worked wonders on the squeaky door seals from gravel travel vehicles.

    Tom, thanks for uploading another video, but I've been wondering about "Thunderbolt." I was hoping for some clips of drag strip performance, dyno runs, etc. Yeah, your little micro cars are interesting, but c'mon, dude. They can't match a V-8 Miata in performance. If Thunderbolt isn't fast enough or doesn't have enough power, can you add a turbo or supercharger? Or is there another reason that you seem to have lost interest in tha car? Anyway, thanks again, and keep the interesting videos coming!

    • @TomsTurboGarage
      @TomsTurboGarage  5 лет назад +6

      Hi Rick, thank you for the support all these years! Oh I still love Thunderbolt and drive it often, it's still my favorite and most exciting car that I've ever owned. I just can't really think of anything to make videos about. Nothing has changed in its setup, I just drive it to work and stuff. I've dyno tested it already, I'd like to take it to the dragstrip again, but I want to run the 1/4 mile and the nearest one is about 3 hours away and rarely has any events. I'm open to ideas for videos on it!

      KingBryant, don't take offense at my reply to you, but do you think you're qualified to answer the question I posed? Tom did answer and said that he loves the Thunderbolt, it's his daily driver, and he just hasn't thought of any new videos involving that car. Still... I'd love to see some more about that interesting car. I would LOVE to drive that "super-sleeper!"

    • @rhilton1881
      @rhilton1881 5 лет назад +3

      Tom, I got hooked on your videos when I watched some videos about "sleepers," which are cars that look ordinary but are anything but ordinary, performance wise. I consider your Miata with an LS3 engine to be the epitome of a sleeper car. It looks bone stock, but the V8 engine and other mods you've done have turned that car into a Cobra-like machine, and that is so very cool. Your newest videos are about obscure little Japanese micro cars, and they're super interesting because you are a very good producer of interesting videos. These newest videos are interesting, but you seem to be leaving the realm of making performance mods to making videos about super-detailing and cleaning the cars you've bought. I loved the vids about your Mitsubishi turbo cars and your stealth modifications, and would love to see more vids in this vein. In any case, thanks again for the great videos, and I'm curious to see your next ones.
