Our Heroes Recording

'Our Heroes' is a tune composed by Gary Innes to mark the 100th anniversary of WW1 'Battle of Festubert' which took place between 15th-25th May 1915. Lance Corporal Donald Patterson was killed during this battle and the bagpipes that he was playing when he was killed are recorded on this single by family member Duncan MacGillivray. This is Scotland's first ever folky collaborative charity single with all proceeds being donated to Scotland's veterans charity Erskine. You can download 'Our Heroes' from all music download sites.
