American here in 2024! 🙋🏼♀️ just got back from an incredible trip to Scotland and our tour guide played this song on the bus. Now I’m going through a deep dive and downloading Scottish music left and right. This song is amazing!
Just back from a holiday in Malta, March 2024 and heard this playing in a bar. Hadn’t heard it before but my friend and I thought it was fantastic. Quick

I feel so lucky to have been brought up in the west of Scotland and greater still to have a connection to Tobermory. Skipenish are great and their songs make me very happy.
My wife and I attended the Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo in August and heard this song performed by the entire cast of performers. As Americans we weren't familiar with it but everyone around us knew the words. After a bit of Googling, we found that you are the source of this incredible song. We've shared it many times. What an uplifting piece!

went out with a bunch of pals last night n got absolutely hammered ended up standing on a bench singing loads of scottish songs like this, loch lomond and flower of scotland. best feeling ever just singing as loud as you can n bouncing around with your closest friends

Well well - more recognition..... even if Robert has "skipped the ship" at the Tide Line. Were my ears deceiving me? No! "Walking on the Waves" as the closing song of the 2022 Edinburgh Military Tattoo!!! Well done. i hope the royalties are rolling in. Still one of my favourites. Slàinte!
Great song, and I saw the cast of many version at Edinburgh Tattoo, lent its simplicity of a song to the mass voice treatment of the shows cast. Really good
I spent every summer as a kid in Tiree, love the place like nowhere else on earth. This band brings it all back. Lead singer sounds like a young Ronnie Brown of the Corries. Fantastic band.
Going in 3 weeks 🌅 my mum went every summer when she was young, this will be my first visit without her by my side, but her favourite place, so the best place to remember her ♥️

Only just come across this epic and fantastic song when was watching the Edinburgh tattoo last week absolutely adore the song 🎶🎶
I lost count of how many times we played this on our 3-day adventure around Scotland. It does make for a very great sing-a-long song on the bus.
I now have an obsessed 6 year old! Robert was recently at Sgoil Gaidhlig Ghlaschu helping them with their translation of this song into Gaidhlig and has become my son Seamus's idol. He's not put his guitar down for weeks and it's great to see. Moran taing!

Started coming to Scotland a few years ago to visit my nephew. Was in a pub in Mallaig when we first heard Skippinish and Skerryvore playing. Since then have taken a liking to some trad/ rock bands, nice to hear something different.
