  • Fitting 3 child seats across your back seat can be near enough impossible, let alone four.....
    The Multimac is one unit divided into 3 or 4 seats each with a 5 point harness.
    With a number of interchangeable attachments the Multimac will take children from birth to 12 and even beyond!
    Built to aircraft standards, the Multimacs robust structure provides strength and its clever design means it absorbs maximum energy in a collision.

    This is incredibly neat for a family that has an SUV or multiples. I don't know why the comments are so rude. If someone has a small car or SUV without a third row and 4 children this would be a MUCH cheaper option than purchasing a new car and I believe that is the point. If it works for your family it may be worth the cost. Then again my son is in a single car seat that cost $500 because I liked the safety features it has.

      I agree with everything you said and they say this is even safer than isofix so that should make it better than any other car seat, I presume.
      Anyway, I have 3 kids and an SUV and thinking of getting the 4 seater multimac (just in case) 😁

    If you’re an American hoping that the Multimac will eventually be available here, don’t hold your breath. There’s currently no way for the Mulitmac to pass U.S. testing. For one, our standard requires child restraints to be installed with a seatbelt or LATCH. The Multimac is installed with bolts and straps, plus legs that extend to the floor. It would fail U.S. testing by virtue of not being able to be installed on our test sled (that has no floor) and therefore we don’t know how it would fare in terms of meeting injury criteria.
    Maybe someday U.S. standards will allow for testing of innovations like the Multimac, but change in federal regulations is typically verrrrry slow. Child passenger safety advocates have long encouraged changes, like adding a floor to the test sled to accommodate seats with load legs, but so far nothing has come of that. If you’d like to see changes, contact your elected U.S. representatives and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to tell them we need to update our standards.
    And if you’re in the UK, have fun with your new seat!

    Very bad for this particular car. A great seven seater (2+3+2) was turned into... a bad seven seater (2+4+1). The third row is now only accessible through the boot and only one third row seat can now be used as you can't use both if climbing through the boot with the second row being locked by this monstrous 4 seater.

    • @multimac_seat
      @multimac_seat  5 лет назад +4

      Hi there, Many people with 3 or 4 children would rather use the boot for boot space rather than require the two seats at the back.
      If you had 3 normal child seats installed in the middle row you couldn't fold the seats down to access the back seats either....

    • @randompersonrandomperson8672
      @randompersonrandomperson8672 5 лет назад

      @@multimac_seat I am sorry, but you appear to be wrong.
      1) WITHOUT THIS DEVICE all SEVEN seats can be used. Example: 2 adults front, 1 adult 2nd row, 2 kids 2nd row, 2 kids 3rd row. The adult on the 2nd row does NOT block the 3rd row. This adult also helps look after 4 kids by being in the middle of them.
      2) WITH THIS DEVICE only SIX seats can be used as the device blocks access to the 3rd row. (Yes you can climb to 1 seat through the boot, but that would be extreme)
      CONCLUSION: This device turns a 5-seater into a 6-seater. HOWEVER it also turns a 7-seater into a 6-seater making you LOSE BOTH 1 seat on the third row AND decent access to the 2nd row from the 2nd row..
      Btw, I am not criticising, just noting. It is A GOOD PRODUCT but strictly for 5 seaters! 8-))

    How the heck is that fitted actually onto the existing seat? Has it got 3rd party crash test ratings? It just looked to easy lifting it out. This could be a serious safety problem if it's not gone through the rigorous safety testing a child car seat has to by law.

    • @multimac_seat
      @multimac_seat  5 лет назад +3

      Hi Kylie,
      The Multimac is fully approved to the EU standards of ECE44-04. All of our safety testing is done in Sweden, the home of car safety. I can assure you it's vigorously tested and exceeds all the relevant safety tests. We attach to the seat belt mounting points of the car, which are 7x stronger than isofix. When it's in and secured it won't budge even slightly. But it is designed to be removed easily, much like an Isofix car seat is, so you can should you ever need to.
