New subscriber here. I'm looking forward to what I assume will be the entire restoration of this Fordson? I don't know much about them, so am looking forward to learning along the way. I like how you show that for the most part you do not need any special tools to restore these old tractors. That is something I try to emphasize on my channel too. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Jacob. I guess back in the day the simplicity of the old tractors was needed so that farmers, used to horses, would be able to maintain them. A real bonus when it comes to working on them today.

Just subscribed. Looking forward to follow your progress. Question - I wonder if an air or battery operated impact gun with socket would have helped free those valve guides rather than a conventional ratchet wrench?

Maybe worth a try, as the impact action might have jarred the sticky ones free.
For your information - I drove the new guides in from the top by hand operated hammer, but had them in a ice box (at just below zero) whilst the engine block was at about 20 deg C (a warm summer day here) ;) The size differential, due to the guides being cold and warm engine block, seemed to help on installation.
