Just after watching this video today, I went there for lunch. I was not let down. They have Smoked chicken, ribs and sausage. Today I had the ribs, oxtail stew and ranch style beans. OMG, ribs were tender and a deep smokey flavor, amazing bark. Then I tasted the oxtail stew and I was in heaven. The beans were killer as well. I could not stop praising them while I ate. Being 5 minutes away from them now, I will be visiting often!
My mouth is watering. My grandmother cooked like this. For a little old white lady she had a lot of soul. She always said, no one ever leaves her table hungry. And they didn’t.
She use to have a different location. The move put her on the map. It’s too much food at lunch but it’s REALLY filled with L-O-V-E! Her and her husband almost bring me to tears with their goodness every time I go.
When you get home cooked food from the heart and soul, cooked with love understanding ,one’s you see the food you know everything is cooked fresh and have tastes that will bring you back.
Fantastic that she went back to school to get her business degree with the support of her husband. See there guys if we support and encourage our women, they succeed!!!
I grew up in Central Texas. They call this soul food. Im a white cowboy, my mom's family is from Floyd County Kentucky and when I grew up we just called this home cooking. My granny has been gone since 2000 and I would give anything I had to sit down with her at her table and eat just one more time
HI, LOVE & SUPPORT from your latina sister from Austin Texas. We were there for memorial day, had i known we would've stopped by. will definitely drop by soon!
All i can say is...YUM ...and I'm born and raised in New Jersey! Not many restaurant's here present Oxtail on their menu's. Plus... I would've went with the Black Eye Peas... WOW!
I have only heard that kind of cooking as soul food, there is a place in Houston I use to go in for lunch, I was the only white guy in the house but no big deal to anyone and it is good comfort food.
Okay, so not sure if this was actually filmed in May of this year but I dont see masks or any kind of social distancing. How are you guys making out down there. Up here in NY its pretty crazy with the regulations...
Most of these videos were taped a long time ago and are just now rolling out. Before "social distancing " was a thing. If you look on the web, this restaurant is takeout only.

I wonder if they will or do actually cook fried fish, dirty rice, mac & cheese and cinnamon raisin glaze biscuits also?

I was working when this was filmed, I can assure you that this was a couple of months ago, they are taking covid very seriously.
I want to know how tall she is
Been once, didn't like it at all. Chicken too dry.
Overcooked -- in the video it looked over cooked too.
Next time just don't have the chicken
Why isn't that guy at 3:10 at least wiping the sweat off his forehead? Nasty. It's probably dripping into the food.
Some social distancy going on here.

Yes, here in Waco everyone I see out is wearing a mask, including me.
This was filmed before covid.
