We created a fake model and got him to the top of london fashion week 2019. His name is Max Fosh and welcome to streetsmart. This year for Womens London Fashion week 2019 we decided to turn our unfashionable friend into the hottest model that nobody had heard of. Lets see how skin deep the world of fashion really is.

Just after an Indy race we realized our friend looked identical to Robby Gordon. So we decided to have fun with it. In the pub on the grounds I started asking for a pen and paper to get his autograph. By the end we had women coming up to sit in his lap, kissing him,etc

I mean.. he's a good looking guy. Full hairline, good jaw, tall, and symmetrical. He could actually walk if he wanted to. It's not like it's a high paying job or anything.

I think what makes him so convincing is his height and stoic face and nose. A lot of models have slight widows peaks and asymmetrical faces and no one really cares. Unfortunately height and certain body types are a big winner in men's fashion even though they don't represent the majority of men haha. But he does 100% pull of the model look.
The fact that they were just playing around and subsequently created one of the most elite social experiments of the 21st century is iconic

I have a strange fascination with these type of duping pranks. My favorite is the one where a guy faked a super high end exclusive restaurant and ended up at the number one spot in the reviews and all this fame and success. After I saw it I just fantasized about doing the same with a bunch of different things haha

This literally shows how disastrous our modern "fashion" world is. Wearing anything (literally anything) and being called a model. I think this is a great message to show the people on which level they are on these days. The only difference between bad and good is that someone is officially called model and the other isn’t.
Only the ignorant or lazy would use that definition of good and bad. Abjectly, Good has two characteristics: 1. It is aesthetically pleasing, and 2. It is well made/crafted. Anything which can be demonstrated to have both of those qualities to the majority of people will stand the test of time as " Good".
But it is important to be mindful of the fact that in our Post-Modern age, at least 30% (if not more) of what is presented as Fashion/Art is not meant to be Good, it is meant to be attention garnering.
This is such a good social experiment that goes to show how phong postmodern fashion, art and pretty much everything is today.

The trick would be putting a non-model in designer clothes and seeing if they look as good as the models selling it..doubt it. A gorgeous confident person can wear a garbage bag as a dress and make it look good...there was an I Love Lucy episode w/ a similar theme (she wore something ridiculous to a fashion event, I think a hat and a few days later a "model" was wearing the same hat down the street)...and that was decades ago...nothing really new here.

I think you need to be careful and not discredit the fashion designers who actually do create artful pieces. I do agree that part of the fashion world is entirely superficial and overrated; however, there are some designer-muse relationships like Gianni Versace and Naomi Campbell that do deserve recognition and respect.
