I did 25 years in the Navy and several stints in California, stationed, training, ship porting, or just visiting. I remember telling people this place is going down hill and they laughed at me. I could see it better than they could because I wasn’t there full time. It has been a slow decline…Then Newsom tossed gas on a smoldering fire. I lived up in Seattle and saw the same thing. I retired in South Texas. Democrat policies are destroying this Country.

JunkAccount- So true. Grew up off coast in So Cal. You can see Catalina Island if you take the scenic drive near the cliffs. Big Bear with my family 2 1/2 hours away. Palm Springs desert, about 3 hours. Disneyland and Knott’s 35-45 minutes down the 91. Dodger games in LA, right down the 110. Went to the beach all summer when we were kids. Stayed at amazing ranches, rode horses, hiked, enjoyed safety. California is beautiful. 🤘🏼🍻🍀

It started with MAGNET schools (LA County Law; 1973) that got more money for less whites as the gangs ran all the white kids out. BTW, that policy is racist as hell and causes bullying/trauma/death. The demographic flipped a long time ago but the laws haven't changed.

I am praying for you. I lived in love Lompoc for a bit and love the surrounding area. My father-in-law lived in the Lake Side area, and his views were absolutely retarded. He's a physician’s assistant but lacks the most basic reasoning abilities. I'm unsure whether it's blind party obedience or cognitive dissonance, but seeing how stupid people can be blows my mind.

I’m from California. Raised down south, moved way north for my sanity. Last year, 2023, I donated bone marrow and had to be flown to Seattle for some medical testing where I got to walk around the Belltown area for a few hours. From a totally unbiased point of view it’s about the same in Seattle as it is in California. The main difference I noticed (and I may have been there just after a clean up) is that in California they let these homeless encampments grow and grow and grow they are all along all of our freeways. They are under every single bridge, they are now in the fucking manzanita fields surrounding my tiny town of 15,000 people we just had to add two new sheriff sub stations to a tiny little community. I didn’t see as much insane homeless construction projects in Seattle. The streets during the day seemed pretty open with the occasional group of weed smokers. It’s pretty insane in California but it’s just about as bad in Seattle. THIS IS JUST A SIMPLE MANS OPINION.

Most areas of CA are conservative, except for the bay area and LA, where most of the population congregates. I live in the central valley where all of the food is grown and a majority of people here are hard working, small business, blue collar citizens who are quite conservative in their political views. Sadly, a majority of CA population is liberal and support the BS that the leftist Newscum is pushing out.
What we really need is for CA to split into 3 states as purposed years ago, so areas can be really represented by their communities. Too much influence in CA is dictated by the Bay and LA areas.

Born and raised in California, from San Diego, grew up in Salinas Valley/Monterey Peninsula. At 50 wife and i decided enough was enough. She retired as a nurse (she is 6 years older than me) and we moved to Northern Nevada. At 52. I retired, we moved to Texas. I visited last month. It has only gotten worse. I my beautiful state, but, IU would never be able to retire and have a nest egg. Politicians has completely ruined that state.
If you owned a home on the Monterey Peninsula and sold it today you would have a nice nest egg to retire on. Maybe a whole basket.

I work with Public Safety departments in and around LA. There are citizens that respect the Police, in several areas (primarily in conservative areas) and fortunately they still have control.

The Gracie family has brought something of great value to American society with BJJ. It makes our children strong adults and prepares them for life. I trained with Reylson Gracie, Caesars dad (Nate Diaz), and I just love the guy. His black belts are top notch.

Born and raised in California. It was such an open minded and beautiful place. San Francisco was once the most gorgeous city I’ve ever seen. Moved to Utah 25 years ago and watched my beloved state be run to ruin my mindless woke politics and grifters. I’ll never go back.

I'm a native Californian who lived in that state during the 90s, moved to Texas in the 00s and went Florida in the 10s before going back out west this decade to see just jow unrecognizable the Golden State has become since I lived there as a child.
Even Texas has been going the same direction lately. This has EVERYTHING to do with the Neo-Marxist long march through our cultural institutions.
They took over the keg metro areas and most powerful states in turn, and now are taking over the rest of the country, and destroying it in the process.
Sad to see both my home state and country dying before my eyes..

My family moved to CA in 1890s. I left in 2021. Best decision ever. Staying there was morbidly depressing and would have killed me or landed me in jail for defending myself and family.
Some of my woke family members just moved from LA to Texas about two weeks ago and even now they're still posting anti-police memes on facebook. It's incredible how delusional some people are.

1:01 Joe is exactly right. I live in San Diego and only a month or so ago. I was up in Mount Laguna in the snow and then also in the beach in La Jolla the same day but it’s getting wild out here with the amount of illegals and the cost of living is ridiculous
I moved there right before the pandemic... it got so bad. The people were awful. I moved out after 2 years.

The people are nasty. There is a certain female type with ties to the southern boarder who are just crazy. I can’t speak plainly because it will be deleted, but I often wonder why they live in America if they hate the founding father’s ancestors so much. Nasty, rude, beat their young boys, who in turn grow up and beat the women. It’s a vicious cycle.
As a native Californian I have been beyond fed up since 2020 I can’t stand too see my state in such a horrible place. I hope other states are paying attention to what is happened here. I still have hope we can turn this around but it’s going to be a long painful road…

In San Francisco you can get from the beach to the mountains in 30-45 minutes

I've lived here for six decades. Can't fix this state it is so deep blue, been that way for three decades. Sadly, they double or triple down on bad progressive policies.

Im in NJ. We have a nocalling911rule and a thriving rubbish removal system, or leave them on the street if it happens on the street. its called "Jersey Style" but its a trend in other "duty to retreat" locales too. Most call it: findouter-ism.
My wife got offered a job in Cali, good pay and benefits. We went for the initial interview but I had been in that area 20 years ago. It was so different than what I remember that we just looked at each other and went….nope.

Respect to the Gracie fam. I used to train BJJ at a Gracie Barra. Fell in love with martial arts and taught me alot about life and meaning. Met alot of cool and smart people. Sadly where i used to train is just another example of California. The gym went abandoned and got tagged up and now it got demolished.
