Yeah, one of the main reasons why I like the overall presentation of Sonic Adventure is that every story is taken from the respective character's perspective (and memory), to the point where entire lines of dialogue are different. It makes it feel like one big movie where everyone's just remembering what happened after the fact, which makes the story telling that bit more interesting as a result.
this imo is something that's often overlooked about SA's storytelling, even when Tails is with Sonic Eggman still has different, more menacing sounding dialogue its extremely subtle and one of the best things about SA to me
