    My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!

    This is such a fantastic video. It was literally every problem I have run into while trying to install a trolling motor on my kayak. The angle was off but because of the different notches on the transom Mount you are able to offset it and the trolling motor still comes all the way out of the water

    Cleanest mount I have seen yet!

      Thanks. It worked well for me. I ended up putting a stern mount on another kayak and like it better. It was easier to steer

  • @prairiecracker214

    You could flip your transom mount on the motor 180 so the tightening bolts face forward and your motor will flip up to the rear. Your control handle will rotate.

    Just took this out on my maiden voyage on biscayne bay. Have it hooked up to an intex excursion 5 and 100 ah battery. Easy to install. The height adjustment feature could glide easier but honestly no real complaints with this. Great product.

    You can heat up pvc pipe till its pliable and get any exact angle you want. We do it all the time with electrical pvc. pour cold water onto it when you get it right, and it freezes the angle in.

    Pretty quick with that motor. Took my kayak out the other day. I might hook one of these up. I don't need my rod holders anyway. I use my rig to get me to unhunted metal detecting spots. Great video. Thanks for the info!

    Quick update. Took it out again today, it is neccessary to have the rope tied to it and through the scupper holes. The opposite side of the motor almost lifted out of the rod holder.

    Nice design. Wish I was that handy. I just bought a Watersnake T24 today at a great sale price. It won't have the power of your setup but then I don't need to travel that far. I only have a sit in kayak though with no storage so I don't know how I am going to get a battery in it. Probably as Roy Schneider said in Jaws - "Your're gonna need a bigger boat".

    If you were to cap off the pvc going to the bottom of your rod holder and then put a screw through the roof holder into that cap it "should" keep it from lifting and cut down on the wobble. Nice build.

    Okay so you have two couplings to keep it from moving around down the socket you need to measure it so that the one coming out is a 45 and then when you put the other 45 on you can turn it to where it will be straight up. Just make sure you measure the pipe going down into the socket so that only half of the 45 is down in

    • @mtnwayadventures9661

      Holding up well. I'm still using it. It did have to be secured vertically. In the video I had an old fish stringer tied around it and through the scupper holes. Next time i took it out i didn't do that and the motor mount almost came out of the rod holder. Other than that, it is excellent. One other thing I did was mount a rod holder to the wooden part to hold 4 rods.

    How is tracking with the side motor? Thanks for sharing your ideas with us! Great set up. I wonder how I can make it so it doesn't wobble as much and doesnt have that much play in it.

    • @mtnwayadventures9661
      @mtnwayadventures9661  4 года назад +1

      I think better materials would keep the wobble down some. I just used what I had. I honestly don't even notice the vibration any more. As far as tracking, it does good. It does seem as though I have to keep my hand on the steering, especially in high winds. It wants to head off right or left and then it seems like I over correct. I would like to put it off the rear but it was a little too much engineering and time consuming for me to do. This way was fast, simple, and cheap. Thanks for checking out the video!

      Mtn Way Adventures thank you for replying. I may mount it on the side to see how bad it is at first. Then if I’m not happy with it I’ll think of a way to mount it in the rear.
