    Thanks for this analysis! There have always been difficulties with a/b testing, now I saw another illustrative case

      Yeh, this was tricky to A/B test

    It's a great idea to make a video version of newsletters. Keep it up 👍

      If feedback will be positive, I will keep posting video or audio version for it.

      @@AivarsMeijers I'm making new videos on iOS and Swift development again while I look for a new job. I republished one of my old apps recently and need to work on making the App Store page more compelling. (iOS 6 app -> iOS 17)

    Wow, it's very interesting to see this kind of analysis even tho it's from an unfortunate event. Most people think that publishing the app is a "set and forget" task but look at this 😀, constant analysis and iteration

      That would be great - just release app and see revenue growing every months. Unfortunately that is not how it works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Hi, do you do ASO iterations ? If yes how many iterations you did to go from low frequency keywords to mid, and from mid to high ?

    • @AivarsMeijers
      @AivarsMeijers  8 месяцев назад +1

      I'm not good with that. I'm just trying at least once in a month review keywords and improve ASO if needed and monitoring current status from daily notifications.

    May be one reason is us. I will explain this. As a mobile developer who wants to start a business like yours, i downloaded your app to see how it works and how you manage the suscriptions (just as a guide), but the app itself is not of my interest so i didn't pay any suscription. Have you seen what % of your followers download your apps? However i don't now if this can affect in the 30%

    • @AivarsMeijers
      @AivarsMeijers  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah, could make minor impact.

    Hi Aivar, with your experience why don't you go get a job as ios software dev? Is it because you don't want to work for someone? Have you ever worked for a company as a ios dev?

    • @AivarsMeijers
      @AivarsMeijers  8 месяцев назад +2

      Currently I'm working as a consultant for a company. That's quite close to full time job, but I'm interested eventually work for myself only.

    This may not be related, but my ad revenue for my apps also dropped off starting in July. I think maybe it's the economy as a whole.

      Could be, I heard the same from another indie developer

    Hi, you just need to make A/B tests before rolling out these changes to your whole audience.

    • @AivarsMeijers
      @AivarsMeijers  8 месяцев назад +2

      Sure, but you will be shocked to know that even big companies do not A/B test every change.
      I do paywall A/B testing right now, but I will not lie that I'm planning to A/B test every change in UI. I just don't have time for that.
