When Parica was playing earlier he won a lot but that was before ESPN had all the pool matches on. Parica could beat the best at 9 ball for money including Buddy Hall. As the years went on Efren became great and won everything there was to win in pool.

JOSE PARICA have issue that a lot of us don't no and Parica played professionally late and that his fault that's why he recognize late in hall of fame ya he is among the best and as you can see Jose parica has well family. who knows someone out there more good player than Efren and parica but don't have opportunity and the reason a lot recognize Efren is because Efren 'Bata' Reyes is Filipino who pulled themselves out of poverty its like rug from top achieving your goal from being born poor is a tough challenge in life but he still show his skill and a lot of it amaze. I remember a saying that "if you born poor its not your fault but if you die poor its your fault" and Efren play professionally and focus in that career while Jose parica is not well known and lack of exposure is his fault also.

For players their caliber, it's easy to perfectly sink all balls in to the rack in several racks/games so it's not unfair gor them. If ever, it became a strategic game because of that. There are things like safety where you intentionally not sink the ball but hide it in the best possible way to make it difficult for your opponent to sink it. Lot's of ways to win the game other than just sinking the last ball.

Pretty sure Parica has a winning record against Efren and to be fair, he did dominate this match. Gotta give credit where credit is due. Doesn't diminish the greatness of Efren. Having strong opponents strengthens his legacy.

Mahusay yan si Amang Parica, bata pa ako siya yun household name pagdating sa pool o billiard, siguro kaya mas nakilala lang si Efren (pero grabe din talaga husay) dahil sa mas marami na televised na games at balita sa news sa tv at dyaryo, umpisa na na-satellite , delayed or live broadcast, mas dumami na rin may tv hehehe, pero silang dalawa talaga yun idol ko sa games, kung sila magkatandem, malamang wala tumalo, if i remember quartet ba sila noon o limahan ng labanan ng Phil ang USA, na pinalanuhan nila.

JOSE PARICA have issue that a lot of us don't no and Parica played professionally late and that his fault that's why he recognize late in hall of fame ya he is among the best and as you can see Jose parica has well family. who knows someone out there more good player than Efren and parica but don't have opportunity and the reason a lot recognize Efren is because Efren 'Bata' Reyes is Filipino who pulled themselves out of poverty its like rug from top achieving your goal from being born poor is a tough challenge in life but he still show his skill and a lot of it amaze. I remember a saying that "if you born poor its not your fault but if you die poor its your fault" and Efren play professionally and focus in that career
while Jose parica is not well known and lack of exposure is his fault also.

Don’t like this game. You can sink the majority of the rack but still lose if the opponent sinks the last ball? Doesn’t seem fair?
For players their caliber, it's easy to perfectly sink all balls in to the rack in several racks/games so it's not unfair gor them. If ever, it became a strategic game because of that. There are things like safety where you intentionally not sink the ball but hide it in the best possible way to make it difficult for your opponent to sink it. Lot's of ways to win the game other than just sinking the last ball.
