Hello Rebekah!!! Welcome to the world of percussion. The tambourine family(frame drums) is amazing!!! I am glad that my video can help a little bit your path.
Hello Aldrietamayosi. Wonderful. I am glad that this video can help you somehow. Is this your first musical instrument, or do you play something else? Thanks so much for lots of rhythm and harmony in your life.
I found exact the same tambourine, at first I wanted to throw it away but now I am trying to figure out how to play it. Thanks for this video and please do another one. Sending many greetings from Germany
Thanks so much I never realised playing the tambourine was so hard so this is really helping! Thanks again my user name is named after Justin Hayward song Silverbird😊@BigBangPercussion
Hello Jenniferellen - I prefer to buy a good tambourine, which will last much longer. The plates are also something that makes me decide on one tambourine or another. I recommend brands like LP, Meinl or Rhythm Tech. These brands you can find all over the world, but depending on where you live, you'll also find local brands. Look for a music store and try out the tambourines there. That way you can decide what appeals to you most in terms of quality, sound and comfort in your hand. I hope I've been able to help you.
I liked and subscribed! I also liked the cowbell/ conga videos. I can do the clave,, compana rhythms on cowbell and do the tumbao on the congas. I am looking how to play Pentecostal church style tambourine. I also play pandiero, Caxia with samba band.
Yes, the tambourine (frame drum) fits so well in so many music styles. I saw some people playing the tambourine with the skin, some Pentecostal rhythm. Precious. Here the Remo model for Pentecostal. ruclips.net/video/m-F_uGS2QEI/видео.html
Hello. Thanks for your commentary. From where are you watching this video? In about 3 or 4 days I will add new videos about tambourine. Have a great day and thanks again
Hello Christian. All the best to you. This is a Rhythm Tech. Do you appreciate the sound? Today there are so many tambourines with so many materials. I love it. Take care Christian and thanks.
Listen to Jack Ashford play the tambourine on one of those old Motown 60s records . That’s how I learned to keep on the beat as a child . If you can’t hear it you can’t play it
@@dancingnature Hello and thanks for your commentary. Yeah, Jack Ashford is indeed a master with his tambourine. The beauty of music is that every single musician can bring something new, like Jack. I grew up listening to Paulinho da Costa, who also worked for years with Quince Jones and many Brazilian percussionists like Nana Vasconcelos and Airto Moreira. The Brazilian tambourine changed after Marcos Suzano.
For example, I started to play after visiting a gospel church around Wisconsin. I changed and started to do it with 2 tambourines. ruclips.net/user/shortsy3N-KH0kNHI?si=EgfQd0QGhaH0ZSUh Thanks again dancing signature and keep in touch.
