Besides that, it is in many cultures, and it is played very differently. In pop culture is used a lot. Helps that 16 feeling to the song and some accents with or against the snares. Anyway. Listen to Jack Ashford play the tambourine on one of those old Motown 60s records . That’s how I learned to keep on the beat as a child . If you can’t hear it you can’t play it

I grew up listening to Paulinho da Costa, who also worked for years with Quince Jones and many Brazilian percussionists like Nana Vasconcelos and Airto Moreira. The Brazilian tambourine changed after Marcos Suzano.
