I feel like the announcers just have convinced themselves that Postle is this good and they are watching a master at work. They can't all be involved. Someone would have leaked or cracked by now. It's not like they're making millions off this scheme, so no way they're all involved if there is cheating happening.

i mean youd probably react the same way if you had no reason to suspect anyone was cheating. just complete incredulity that a donk move happened to be correct on the spot. i watched joey's 5 hour stream, and all the announcers reactions make it sound as if they're not in on it. someone who was in on it wouldn't act so amazed at his plays and try to justify them

I played at Stones Live on May 29th. I specifically remember players on the table yelling at Postle (who was sitting at the bar across the room) to come play the live feed but he refused to which seemed odd to some of the players.
OBVIOUSLY his inside contact/staff person (responsible for feeding him info) wasn’t present or available that particular evening. It’d be good to investigate WHO was on staff on days where he played vs WHO WASN’T the Live nights he didn’t if we want to identity his inside man.
JDS 1994 I think the theory is it’s that Justin guy because he was gone in June which is when postle played a losing session like a normal person and I believe played less sessions in general .

At Crown Melb a few years ago now, A group rented a room and were able to 'hack' a number of camera's and feeds, and then use this info to support high rolling poker players at tables. So not necessarily staff or an insider.

To answer the question someone posed: yes, you can go to jail for defrauding people out of tens of thousands of dollars. And yes, it is illegal to run a crooked card room.

Even more charges when the exact method of cheating is pinned down since pretty much every possible method includes either unauthorized tech access (aka a hacking charge) or further fraud. Cheating at a casino is very much illegal regardless of what game you are playing.

I once bumped into Doug at aria. While I’m a huge fan I wanted to play it cool. he walked past me into the back area where he was probably playing a tournament.
I went to play my daily 1pm deepstack, all the whole watching Doug talk to various people, always with a smile on his face. Engaging his fans.. maybe he could engage me?
This is what was coursing through my mind as I contemplated my opening comment to him.
Would I walk up to my hero and tell him that his poker analysis took me to a place of depth and warmth?
Yes. It was time. I stood up from my seat, fully ready to miss at least one full orbit of blinds in exchange for my moment.
I walked across the poker floor to talk to Doug, when suddenly jean Robert bellanda came out of the back room shaking his head in what seemed to be obvious frustration with a recent poker hand.
The choice was clear. I followed jean Robert into the restroom and took a piss two stalls away from him. My only regret is that no eye contact was made.

Actually, the chick commentator is the reason all of this came to light. After watching him play like this for so long, she knew something wasn't right and went to management, who told her she's wrong, but thankfully the internet took her serious and went through hours of his play to conclude hes a cheater

On the river, at 7:44 the commentator justifies Postle's river raise well before it seems likely he will be raising, I think they are likely to be in on it.

ALYSHADEZ Running theory is he has a device in his lap that is getting a data feed from the program the Stones are using to stream the game, and this data feed he’s looking down at in his lap is telling him what cards everyone else has. Allegedly.
Right before he raises the river with one of the worst hands he could possibly have only to win because in a very unlikely twist the other guy has an even worse hand you can see him look in his lap and then cover it up with his arms. Allegedly.

If they don’t ever get to the bottom of what all was going on, poker streaming can never be fully trusted.
It's funny U mention that. The closest controversy that comes close to this I can think of, is the 1950s quiz show scandal involving the $64,000 question, which almost killed game shows altogether.
Obviously, this controversy isn't going to just blow over anytime soon. As I mentioned earlier this made Sportscenter.
sstheg the closest to this situation was PotRipper on ultimate bet. But this guy has an even higher bb/hr win rate but we’re supposed to believe nothing happened lol. This casino should be shamed for ignoring the prior complaints, the standard luck deviations are literally impossible by any standards and actually the most damning evidence. Can’t wait to see how they try and spin this investigation or how they can find nothing this time. Any player worth a salt probably won’t play there until this is sorted out and publicly acknowledged.
@@alexburke1899 I was trying to convey by the scandal closest to this was the potential magnitude the scandal could have carried. With the quiz show analogy (Correction: it was the show Twenty-One that had the scandal), that could've put the network in jeopardy and ruined the reputation for quiz/game shows altogether. Also the 1919 black sox scandal, almost ruined the game of baseball.
The UB PotRipper scandal was huge yes, but the government had a hard on for online poker to begin with prior to UB, when they passed the UIGEA in '06.

That’s why it’s frustrating to hear they ignored previous suspicious reports and did a possibly poor or bias investigation. Other card rooms will inevitably suffer trust issues just like online poker did after UB etc.

Hi Doug I am a huge fan and I am really really interested in this news story you have been informing us about I am in information technology tech and I may be able to shed some light and help understanding how the RF ID information is transmitted so basically what I believe is happening is they have a webpage set up and what it does is it receives the RF ID information and separates it by seat/location of the RF ID Reader I believe what he is doing is just looking at a webpage and constantly hitting refresh if you notice after a river card comes out he looks down at his phone a lot of the time and frantically presses it 2 to 3 times I believe that is to refresh the page so that he can get the river update or whatever particular street he is on I hope this helps shed some light helps you understand how the Transfer of information is working thanks again Doug keep it up

it does make sense though, he led out preflop like he had some kind of pair, or high cards. he showed strength by calling down to the river representing that hand, doubting his opponent had an ace or even a 10, the reraise makes sense. i've seen a number of hands baffle the experts but they make sense to me. call me crazy. maybe i need to get back into the game
