I know some of this seems obvious (especially to people with experience), but by working with beginners I see these issues resurfacing again and again and again, so hopefully this video can help you get past potential hiccups so you can focus on what's important - playing music ;)
How do your tracks load instantly to your track. When i select my next track it takes a while to load onto the track, is there a way to play song offline to maybemake it quicker or is there more settings to improve this. Please help.
I always get no sound whenever I have smoked a joint 😕 ohh helps if I turn my speakers on. Still no sound . Ohh amps not on .. still nothing . Ohh helps if I load a track 😅
Dynamic analysis is extremely useful for anything recorded with a real drummer (you'll still probably have to adjust the grid but it'll be closer), or anything recorded with an analogue drum machine, where you might get small tempo fluctuations. Worth knowing if you play any older electronic music from the 80s and early 90s.

Thank you for this. I have needed a quick guide to help me figure out what some of the settings meant. Funny thing is the one I was most scared of was no sound. Turned out to be a non issue.. and now my house shakes. HA!
Honestly, after finding out about the eject/load lock, I choose to have it locked. I'm scared of loading a track onto the wrong deck, just imagining that happening at a club strikes fear into my heart. I rather just get used to pausing before a new track, even if it is tedious.
On the setting at about 7min 55 sec, how can I make this effect apply to when a song ends like say the last track of my set I want to just let it play I want it to sound like an engine is powering down, also when saving these settings to my usb how can I make vinyl on when importing my usb settings? I noticed when I apply my settings vinyl doesn't auto turn on. Also, do you have any videos of configuring Flstudio or ableton/daw to connect your deck to record? I haven't been able to figure out how to configure a program to record and make sure the sound being recorded is at its best. Thanks for all your videos super helpful. 🖖🤙🤌
*CORRECTION* Clubs Don't "generally have Blue wave forms." The color of the wave forms are always based on the setting you choose on your Rekordbox.(RBG,BLUE or 3BAnd). I prefer RBG, that's the only reason I say anything.(I'm not hating) The rest of the video was very useful.
Yes you are right, I guess I'm old school and am used to the blue as it was the only option for many years. In truth I prefer blue as it offers less visual cues, but appreciate that people may want RGB - all good, my apologies.
@@ClubReadyDJSchool No need to apologize! Like I said, I wasnt hating on ya. I just figured I'd put my input just in case lol. Keep up the killer content, dude!

Hi I have a problem I just installed the rekordbox on my laptop and and put my license key but when I plug my ddj400 it's jamming I don't know what's happening can you please help me 🙏😩
By Looping the function quantize doesn't work somehow at my DDJ 400 & Rekordbox 5.8.6, even when I have the same settings, Loop Quantize ENABLE & interval at 1. I tried changing these to all different settings but it's the same all the time. It's doesn't snap the loop to the beat which makes looping very complicated and nearly impossible to have a good working one! Someone had this issue before? Help please 🥺
Hi DJs need some help. my rekordbox waveforms are bit jumpy very hard to mix in its like a stuttering kind of patterns. any thoughts why thats happening? i noticed on rekordbox settings my buffering has gone up to 32.5 and i cant seem to change it because its in kind of lock mode? please help.
Thank you for the tips. Updated to rekordbox 6.6.1 from 6.6.0 and my Mixer panel is completely disabled therefore I cannot enable Quantize and Master Tempo. Any help will be highly appreciated?

Hey there! I somehow messed with something in rekordbox and it now won’t display the typical BPM’s for track one and two on the screen (instead just one in the very middle) I think it has something to do with my effects panel but i’m not sure. Any tips?
Could you do a video how to stream with the ddj 400 please I’ve looked at a evermix box but will the splitters make the sound rubbish as will be mono as also want to record the audio as a mp3 to put on phone
What about the trim gain settings… 0, 1, or say -9… I’m also wondering about should the gains be off, or remember or auto…. For years I’m still trying to figure this out. Great videos for newbies.
gain/trim sets how much the sound signal gets amplified. You might find that some tracks have simply been recorded at lower/higher volumes than others, so you use trim to take care of that. What I like to do is to have the tracks always just under the orange level from the volume LED bars, sometimes letting some frequencies to orange when I want to underline those particular sounds. You never want red, that measn the amplification is so much that you start to loose signal quality. A lot of people actually set the gain to the max trying to be as loud as possible, but it will just make the track sound worse. cheers
Thanks for that…. I pretty much do and understand everything you wrote… was just wondering more about the software setting… nothing more…. U know what it’s like… so many settings to mess with and not wanting to change stuff…. I’ve kinda stuck on -3db in the software. I find recording sets this gives the best sound and also plenty of head room for low recorded tracks. Shame there is no standard on digital files.
Hello Legend! Your videos are always the most helpful material and your method of mixing style and helped me learn a lot. Just a quickie - Is there any setting on Tempo fader to make it more accurate? In my mixer, if I'm trying to get from 126 to 128, it will always land on 128.02 or 127.08 but not accurately on 128. How can I fix that?

trim shouldnt be at midnight. trim should only be turned up so that the LED indicators hover around 0dBU. sure it might be at midnight for some tracks, but it might need to be a bit more or a bit less for others. it's one of the things that DJs do that sound guys just do not understand. it might look symmetrical, but it has nothing to do with unity. you adjust it based on the level output. the eqs should always be at midnight because it is set to be at its nominal output (zero) at midnight. the Master level as well is something that DJ's always put to midnight. that is wrong. it actually is marked on most if not all pioneer equipment.. 0 DB is about 2 o'clock. that is unity. set your master to unity, and leave it there. you shouldn't have to adjust that at all again. volume control can be done from the individual channels from there on in. this ensures you get the best SNR (signal to noise ratio). one DJ at my club kept adjusting the master to midnight and turning up the individual channels louder to make up for the lost volume.. and I lost my mind with this guy. after the party, he told me he likes it looking symmetrical I was gobsmacked by the stupidity of that statement. I said dude I don't care how it looks it's how it sounds. you're turning up the noise floor if you're turning down the master and turning up individual channels. it is ridiculous to base your DJing on how the knobs look to you.. so many people have just gotten bad habits or learned the wrong thing and stuck with it. if you ever play a gig and you have a sound guy that is giving you advice, listen. it's like a free Pro lesson if they're giving you advice. another DJ argued with me that she has been DJing for over 20 years and she knows how the levels work. no I was blunt and I said well I don't care how long you've been DJing, I look young but I'm actually in my 40s I'm having DJing much longer than she has. but I just told her then you've been doing it wrong for 20 years. you don't want to piss off the sound guy. because they report back to the owner and promoters. and if you think that squaring off against the sound guy is going to get you a head or get you more bookings, think again. the sound guy is going to be protecting the sound system from damage and club owners will always choose that over some DJ that has a chip on his or her shoulder
this is one of the channels that I would suggest you guys pay attention to. this Aussie knows his shit. even when he says turn the trim to midnight, he's talking about problem solving a 'no sound' situation. there's another Australian DJ channel that consistently gives the wrong advice.. I'm not going to name names or anything... but this is one of the channels that consistently gives proper advice.
i have a problem with my DDJ-RB controler it won't install the driver no more it says fail error code 004 reinstalling the firmware was no problem but it seems on my new pc windows 10 it won't install the driver how to fix it?
I'm having issues with once I beat match with the sync button. It won't let me adjust the tempo button to go back to normal BPM once my new track is playing. The tempo is stuck at the other tracks BPM. Then when I try to adjust it it messes up the song. Would anyone know how to fix this?
If I have the tempo fader of the "stuck" track in the middle, I take it all the way down, then all the way back to middle as fast as possible. This seems to reset it. But remember, if the tempo of the track you're trying to manipulate is different than the one you had as the Master, you may end up in left field somewhere. Keep an eye on that tempo once it's freed up..
@Steven Shearer Agreed. I only use it if I just want to let songs ride with no effort, or if I'm busy doing other stuff while playing music. Normally it's making dinner or drinking beer....or both.
