and thick cards dont grade well so its not like you will make more later on doing that
They’re long term investments. If they come back with high grades as well, it’s well worth it. That Rui Booklet could be worth $5-6K someday

@@gordhonkey2874 I remember back when Shaq was a rookie people dropping opening hundreds of packs trying to get a Topps gold rookie. At the time the card was $300 now I think it's $20. Then everyone was looking for shaqs beam team which was $350 at the time. Now it's also like $20. The packs at the time were $1.00 and $3.50 for stadium club, never imagined seeing thousands of dollars for a box where at the end of the day the cards are just cardboard and marker.

This hobby has gotten stupid, when I was collecting in 2003-2008. The most expensive packs were 300-400. This is just stupid! They have ruined this hobby.
Exquisite was always over $500
Also do you remember the times when you could find packs/boxes at stores? Not anymore, they're sold out under an hour because of scalpers.
@@tartuffethespry I bought the 2005 ud hall of fame tins. They were like 300, those cards are have not held there value. In my opinion the only way to go is vintage.

Early 2019 prizm hobby was $175 and prizm retail was $80 . I jumped back in at this time just because of luka but optic and prizm stayed on Walmart and targets shelves like at least 7 months after release.
I love the enthusiasm on the video's, you can tell these guys actually care about collecting, but what hurts my heart is the lack of knowledge on the players lol!

How do people store the booklets. Do they get slabbed?
A lot of people don’t understand that these things are extremely addicting. Just like with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes etc… this is just a form of legalized gambling. The people who break these boxes are addicted to it. That’s why they are so expensive.
Have said it again and again. Panini has the greatest scam ever going. Charging these prices should be criminal.

Just a bit to enthusiastic with all the Booms when you’re losing money on each box lol. Beat cards pull weee $200-$300 range. Obviously they can go up but the better money spent is finding the card you want and buy n hold off eBay.

Did I see that these are $7,000 per box? But then I heard $2,000 per box. If they're $2,000 I guess that's not horrible, but at the same time all 3 boxes together are barely worth more than the price of 1 box. Nice cards but man that's a little ridiculous! & if they're charging everybody else $7,000 per box, you'd be lucky to have a 1% chance of getting your money's worth outta one!
