Actually I was able to put two fans at the bottom but if I screw then too tight the fan will hit the case. I agree that this case is not builder friendly enough as I expected. I use a big cpu cooler + large 2.5 slots RTX3090 and it took me a long time to connect all ports.
I love matx form factor, but the biggest issue I have when the PCI-E slot isn't the first on the board. There is no reason to not put it as the first slot especially since there would still be space 2 m.2 solts and a pci-e 1x slot for a wifi card or something. I really like the layout of vertical airflow, top-front mount psu cases because of the better use of space and smaller footprint compared to the traditional style of cases. Especially since most matx cases are barely smaller than a full tower by 1-2 inchs depending on if there is extra top space for thicker AIOs.
I have one of the ITX cases which I’m still using in an older system, not sure why they didn’t just stick with that design it was simple to setup. There were also holes in the side of the case which to me is better than a glass side panel. You can’t use a 3.5 inch drive either in the new case.
That's a great question. We'll the fans wouldn't fit on the bottom like they shoukd have so I put them on thr too as Intakes and then flipped the case over making them intake from the bottom and help the heat rise to the top
just put one of these together and I think it took 3-4 hours. Quite a stressful experience, and I've got small hands. The order of operations is extremely important, would reccomend first getting the case ready, extra mobo screw mounts etc, then assembling the mobo/cpu/ram outside of the case before fitting it, then run your cables including the side panel, then take the side panel off carefully, install the PSU and then the GPU. I forgot to use the rubber washers that were meant to go on the mobo but honestly, it's too painful to undo all that work and put um in.
can you fit a micro atx board ? on amazon it say m2022 matx/mini-itx does matx mean micro atx boards too? i only got a micro atx mini too over priced for my blood
Not the easyest case to build in but must disagree with the bottom fans. I did fit two basic corsair fans with grills in there in my own build but for some it might be actually easier to do before adding the cpu cooler to it's place.
I swapped from the phenom m to a Corsair spec m2 (also matx). My biggest issue with the phenom was that my hdds that were side mounted would get 45C+ hot due to my 290X. On the plus side, my gpu setup was perfect, with super cool 70C at like 1800 gpu rpm and 1100 rpm slim gelids, nothing since has come close. It would be a good case nowadays as ssds are so cheap. You could have a 4090 on top running super cool with ur cpu cooled with an aio or tower for max gaming cost efficiency!
Sadly my s12mii evo 850w psu from seasonic had a faulty fan controller or something so it would be at max with ~>200W sustained load. Since it was my first Pc I didn’t know until after I swapped out almost everything else, including the case. It was a sad waste of money.
Original Bitfenix Prodigy M user chiming in: insanely difficult to build in is pretty much 100% the experience using the old case too. It was an ITX case with an mATX motherboard tray crammed in - technically there is room for everything in the spec but cable spaghetti is unavoidable and actually making use of 3.5" mounts and a large CPU cooler the depth of the case allows makes for an uncomfortable squeeze. Shame to see Bitfenix have moved sideways in the past decade.
You picked the wrong motherboard....😢 your first slot is a pcixe x1 slot not a 16x if you moved up your gpu you would have enough room for a 280mm aio... they also make 15mm 120mm fans.
Somehow fit an ASUS Strix 3090, a 1000W EVGA PSU, and a Noctua NH-D15 in this case. I also put in SIX fans (including the two CPU ones that came with the noctua), and even managed to use an extra PCI-E slot for wifi/bluetooth antennas hooked up to an M.2 card. I have two at the bottom, one up front, and one at the exhaust. It's compact, it's good looking, but it took FOREVER. Great airflow now, but it was a challenge. Now I've got USB-C and a case that reminds me of one of the non-cylindrical Mac Pros for like $90. Looks good on my desk. The mounting points for SATA drives also make me sad, I couldn't get my SATA drives to sit still :/.
Seems you are a little confused, aren't you ? Cars are Cars but it has to have Glass, arent they ?? They have to be beautiful otherwise they're not Cars. Arent they ?
That's the worst review I have seen in years. Not only that you should have done a better wire management but you didn't even know what you have bought: check the BitFenix yt channel and in 27min they give you all the infos you need. Also a PCI-e 4.0 riser cable cost around $65 so you can't complain about the price AND the missing cable.
Since 20 years nobody uses 60mm fans anymore! since 5 years nobody uses plexy-glass. (and for good reasons) Why was the large fan-mount in the bottom removed?(from 200mm to 2 x 120mm?) This new versions layout and air-cooling is worse than the old. The new glass-window is a nice after-thought at best. Noteworthy improvements are made only for cable-management and longer power-suplies. Having a full-size(tripple-fan) GPU dangle on a riser cable and two tiny screws at the rear slots is not an improvement unless a riser and support-bracket would be included. The material of the handles becomes sticky after 5 years in use and than attracts hair and dust.(looks terrible) Stop that silly RGB and fix the case! Dont ever buy the white version volks because it looks shit after only 3 years. (the white handles turn to yellow do to sunlight)
Poor, lazy design the orig ITX one is a much better design with some tweaks that one would of been fine for matx. This design made no sense years ago and still doesnt to this day.

Thanks for the review. My PSU is 17cm in length, 3cm more than yours. Would it fit?
Yeah it would, it’ll make things tight for sure though.

Ah that’s what I thought after the video, I just bought this case and was going to stick some better fans down there, thanks for your help!

I just saw a timelapse video with this case and that guy put water cooling on top with no problems...

fyi you have to populate first the closer ram slots to cpu :)

You need to get a better microphone can't hear anything ⛔
Hmm ok, that is strange

The M was always meh. The first prodigy was good, and you could sometimes mod it to fit a mATX, but the layout of the M-model is a huge L

Great video review but I've never heard a man have 3 different accents at the same time... He sounds like a mix of Texan, Australian and Luisiana.

The original was good I thought. It wasn't the best but there wasn't much competition I'm the mITX market then
Bitfenix, you used to be good!
Yep
vertically mounted gpu will have no room to breathe,
overall it's really bad design in every way
Sure is
I had do it and the window-plate makes the gpu hot! It is too near.
Horrible accent.
Thanks baby
