I'm 35 yrs old and Ive had labyrinthitis 4 times. The first time when I was 22. It was the worst week of my life. Any kind of head movement made me want to vomit. Opening my eyes was nightmarish, as the world didnt spin (like in the drawing), it was like a DJ's turntable, rotating 45 degrees, then looping back. I was taken to the hospital in a wheelchair. The doctors put me in an MRI machine to scan my head, but I couldn't endure the discomfort from the MRI noise in my debilitated state. It was 30 days before I could drive a car again as moving my head to look at the side view mirror and back would cause a lagging sensation that was dangerous. Thankfully I haven't had any permanent issues and my last episode was a few years ago. In all my 4 bouts with this condition, I had had a number of days of terrible sleep, countered with caffeine, and above average stress.

Hi Lucas, can I ask if you visited a doctor and if so what medication did they prescribe you?

@@bramstagator it's always the same drug combo: Dimenhydrinate (+ vitamin b6) and Flunarizine dihydrochloride
I always keep the two in stock here. If I feel just a little dizzy, I take em as a precaution

@@bramstagatorI’ve found Sudafed 24 hour helps as well as laying my ear on a hot pad set to the lowest setting of heat.

I understand you... I have this right now, for me it is a result of a cold and then middle ear infection. Even sitting is hard and turning head left and right makes me want to pass out. I am trying to watch Netflix while I have nothing else to do but even fast moving movie footage makes me want to vomit. On top of that I hear only with one ear, have runny nose, ear ache and cough of hell which makes the world spin around me every time I cough. I was very lucky to get a very fast ENT appointment because someone canceled theirs. If I didn't visit an ENT specialist there is a high possibility I'd have called an ambulance too because I just couldn't bear this any more. Take care!

I’m only a few days into this , just stumbled on this video and pretty sure this is my diagnosis, started few days ago when I woke up to the room spinning at 100mph , slowly stopped and I got up , felt really sick , I then tried to lay back down but immediately started vomiting , couldn’t lay down on either side without actually vomiting , my partner got my anti sickness tablets which has stopped the vomiting , my ear is sore , I’m dizzy and light headed 3 days later , done bppv exercises to stop the vertigo(that was a crazy experience) . Doctors Monday hopefully to see what’s happening in my ear .

"Zero to Hundred" or "Midterm to Finals" or "First Day to Finals", not "Zero to Finals"....it's a mixed metaphor.
