Thanks for the visit, Robert! And thank you for the kind words on our little museum. Shoot us a note the next time you're in town! And yes, we too are a bit worried about losing some of the "magic" this museum has if we move into another facility - we'll do our best to try and recapture it in the next spot. Subscribed.
Thank you Robert and great job showcasing our fantastic City. I live just a few blocks from Joe's BBQ and planned on attending the meet and greet but had to change plans. Travel safe and God bless!
I doubt a better coverage on RUclips exists of Kansas City than this . A series on great American cities is a great idea . Hope you live to be 100 and continue making videos :D ❤️
What a great video! My mother was born in Kansas City. Grandpa worked at the Ford Assembly Plant during the 1920s through the great depression and World War 2. We went to visit them in 1961 on the Kansas City Limited in a Pullman Car. We boarded in Chicago at night. Mom put us to bed. We woke up and got dressed just as we pulled into Kansas City. Grandma and grandpa were waiting for us in Union Station. They took us to a cafe so we could eat breakfast. We were starving! I was 7. Glad to see they preserved the old station and still use it.
234k subs. Look at you go. It is such a joy to discover through your lens, that most cities- with KC being no exception, are so much more than what they’re often perceived to be. So fun to watch the personality of yet another understated urban locale unfold here. You highlight cities and towns so well and talk about most with such kindness that one can’t help but want to know them better, or even plan a visit that otherwise would have never even been considered. Not a bad idea about doing a “Great American Cities” tour, on a train or otherwise. So many places would benefit from this kind of attention, and if this episode is any evidence of how that would go, well, there’s no second guessing whether to do it or not. Lots of good stuff is in this one, always getting better… even some pretty cool clip transitions. Nice. Im sure the new equipment must up the fun factor of doing the work! Thanks for the continued commitment to producing quality content that stands out among the rest… Well done, Robert. 🙂
KC seems more modern than my last visit. I enjoyed watching the steamboat museum. I've always been intrigued by how people would have lived centuries ago. PS: Cerner, a large healthcare software company is based in KC and one of their largest employers.
Yes Robert, you should definitely ride the Amtrak train! It is a great relaxing way to see the cities and country-side, all while having your meals and bed provided at reasonable cost.
Robert, sorry that we are a bit behind in viewing. Shelley and I enjoyed meeting up with everyone at the KC meet-up. You did an excellent job showcasing our hometown. Let's know next you are passing through or stopping by for a while. Shelley and I have been binge-watching this latest trip for the past few nights. Peace and Safe Travels
Kansas City MO was nice. I’ve been 3 times. They seemed to look down on the Kansas side, they called KCK. Once I stayed across the street from the convention center (4 spires @ 14:55)
What a nice tour! Thank you so much Robert for doing what you do and sharing these videos with us. I look forward to watching the next episode every Sunday morning. 😊
A wonderful to start my day. Thanks for the great filming, editing and music of your videos. We aren't able to travel so this is my go to channel. Happy travels
We took a great Amtrak adventure last February. Denver to Grand Junction, and back the next day. The most scenic trip through the Rocky Mountains in the winter! We spent the night in Grand Junction at a hotel within walking distance of the train station.
Glad you liked our hometown. KC is a special place. Joe's is probably our favorite BBQ. WWI Museum is probably one of our favorites. Good stuff. Travel safe.
Kansas City is a beautiful place.....it looks a cheerful and picturesque city.. I would very much like to visit it. Beautiful video.Congrats...... I see you on the road..... Love....MOM...>>>
Thanks for another great episode Robert! I love the driving footage you always put in your videos, I especially enjoy watching the drives through the cities you visit. That view of Kansas City from the Lewis and Clark spot, was beautiful.
Traveling Robert cross country on an Amtrak? Is that something I would like to see? You better believe it! I think, I am sure others will agree, you would be an excellent guide, orator, educator, and with your flair for details, make it all the more interesting. So to answer your question again, yes I would like to watch a Traveling Robert series aboard the Amtrak, while it still exists. Take care and thank you for the videos.
That was a wonderful episode. Always wanted to go to Kansas City. I love trains, so yes to the train excursion. Thank you, Robert and Ily, for all you do. I look forward to seeing you every Sunday morning. Best wishes and safe travels. Stay well and see you next week on another great episode.
I have only been to Kansas City twice; both were business trips. Need to check out the steamboat museum. I did have an opportunity to visit the Negro League Baseball Museum -- highly recommend it for your next visit there. LOVED your opening music with the jazzy sax - so suitable for KC.
Thank you Robert you filmed the area where I live and you did an excellent job showing all the beautiful sights!!😘 God bless you on your travels around the United States.
Good job, Robert. We have been eagerly awaiting your video of Kansas City. We visited KC, MO the end of September and visited the War Museum/Tower, the Arabia Steamboat Museum, Union Station, all were very informative and not to be missed. Of course bbq twice! We grew up in Southwest MO and now in WY. I always enjoy seeing the area where four years of my childhood were spent. Memories.
Hello Traveling Robert🎷🎷🎸🎸😊😊🍔🍔🍦🍦🍕🍕, Kansas City is one awesome great city. I absolutely love Kansas City BBQ and so many places to check out. OUTSTANDING VIDEO FOOTAGE, ROBERT. I can't wait to see whats next on the Lewis & Clark Trail👍👍👍👍👍👍.
Said it before, no one does an urban rv video better. Like how you got as close as you could to the Wilbert Harrison version of Kansas City withou taking the c/r strike.
I have only stayed overnight in Kansas City a few times in route to other destinations. I have visited the Harry Truman sites in Independence. Need to spend a few days here to explore.
Another great video. You are my Sunday night tradition. I do follow another youtuber that has taken a few of the long distance trains. I would love to see your video on the experience and I think it would be relaxing for you and the wife. I wnat to do the west coast train LA to Oregon and see the ocean from the train.
KC train is the Southwest Chief, Chi-LA...The Zephyr is the best for scenery, over the Rockies front range and then Donner Pass the next day, both in daylight!
Robert YES YES YES we would like to watch a series of videos traveling on the train across America ! Please Please !!! I have been wanting to take the train across the country for a very long time. High Roller private sleeper car.
Ah, Kansas City...gonna get my baby back home, yeah yeah🎵 (Nice new music cue by the way) It's a little disturbing to see the lack of respect some people have for the displays at Kaw Point. That's a great view from the WWI tower! The Arabia Museum was the highlight of my visit back in 2004. I got to talk to Greg Hawley (RIP), one of the main people responsible for the discovery of the ship and establishment of the museum. His book "Treasure in a Cornfield" is worth a read. You asked about interest in taking a long train journey, I think it would be more interesting to see some of the shorter historical/scenic trips like Durango to Silverton or a ride though Gold Country out of the 1897 Railtown Museum, where they use Sierra Railway 3, the "movie star locomotive".
Oh, i didn't know KC got street cars, that's nice... we don't have that in Columbus, Ohio :-) ... Never been to either one, but sometimes I get confused with Kansas city, Missouri and Kansas city, Kansas...I can't wait to watch your vlog on the latter :-) Your vlog is addicting :-)
I'm watching this a year later and I must say, this is a beautifully put together video. I wish you would've had time to see some culturally important places like the Negro League Museum and the Jazz Museum. Thanks for visiting though!! Subscribed.
Thanks for the visit, Robert! And thank you for the kind words on our little museum. Shoot us a note the next time you're in town! Glad you liked it. I certainly will. Maybe the new museum will be open by then.
Thank you Robert and great job showcasing our fantastic City. I live just a few blocks from Joe's BBQ and planned on attending the meet and greet but had to change plans. Travel safe and God bless!
Thank you for showcasing Kansas City so beautifully. Also thanks for including Union Station and Liberty Memorial they are both incredibly special.
I doubt a better coverage on RUclips exists of Kansas City than this . A series on great American cities is a great idea . Hope you live to be 100 and continue making videos :D ❤️

Still a lot of historical sites in Kansas now?

Love to see, your long train ride videos across USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe
Thanks for visiting our great city! This was a great look for those that don't live here to showcase all the history and diversity we have. Well done!
Great American cities would be a great series. Nice job on your look at Kansas City.
KC seems more modern than my last visit. I enjoyed watching the steamboat museum. I've always been intrigued by how people would have lived centuries ago. PS: Cerner, a large healthcare software company is based in KC and one of their largest employers.
Kansas city bigger than stl now
Yes Robert, you should definitely ride the Amtrak train! It is a great relaxing way to see the cities and country-side, all while having your meals and bed provided at reasonable cost.

Very well put together city, I like it that they had a little park for Lewis and Clark location. On to the next.

Thank you for showing KC in a positive light. I usually just hear negative things about it.
Thanks for another great episode Robert! I love the driving footage you always put in your videos, I especially enjoy watching the drives through the cities you visit. That view of Kansas City from the Lewis and Clark spot, was beautiful.
My favorite city ❤️. I miss you KCMO
Oh yes, a train trip would be marvelous!!

Thanks to you I can see what I miss

KC is a big big big time train town..Actually more tonnage through her per day than anywhere else in the world..
I have only been to Kansas City twice; both were business trips. Need to check out the steamboat museum. I did have an opportunity to visit the Negro League Baseball Museum -- highly recommend it for your next visit there. LOVED your opening music with the jazzy sax - so suitable for KC.

Thank you for a great video of where I have lived all my life Robert, can't wait for your next one!

Great job, Robert. This is my home and always has been for 55 years. Stop by anytime.
Great video Robert, I enjoy every minute of each, yes, a train trip would be great. Thanks again.
Union Station is a must-see. So glad you went to Jack Stack. Severely under rated place. Everything there is very, very good.
Robert, I would like to see you rent an RV in Australia and see the whole country.
What I love about the KC area is the nice no cost Dog Parks they have to offer to those with 4 legged kids like I have.

Excellent video 📹! The start has some jazzy tunes...love the BBQ!
Very Nice as always. The city was very charming with a midwestern flair. Clean and inviting. Thank you for your commentary of seemily inviting city.
Joe's BBQ is THE BEST!!!
Said it before, no one does an urban rv video better. Like how you got as close as you could to the Wilbert Harrison version of Kansas City withou taking the c/r strike.
Oh no! You walked right by my favorite restaurant in KC - Grünauer’s. Some of the best Bavarian food in the U.S. 😃 I love KC. ❤️
I have only stayed overnight in Kansas City a few times in route to other destinations. I have visited the Harry Truman sites in Independence. Need to spend a few days here to explore.

You were close to President Truman's Library when you were in Kansas City especially since you were at World of fun area.
Spent some time in KC back I'm the day and I gotta say, you went to all the places I would've suggested, bravo!
Great job
Hey Robert! The big mural in this video down town was done by a RUclips artist- ten hundred . Super cool artist and good channel
Thanks!
Thanks to you!
Hello from Ouray CO!!! Ahh....KC is a fun area!!
If you are ever at JFK airport, you’ll have to check out the TWA Hotel.
Kansas City also has Walt Disneys first animation studio it’ll the building was still there in 2016 last time was I was in the area
I wish I had known that you were here, I would have volunteered to take you around. Maybe meet the sheriff and the mayor of Kansas city, Ks
A train ride would be interesting
Hi robert from Pickering Ontario I hope you have a great day
I'm watching this a year later and I must say, this is a beautifully put together video. I wish you would've had time to see some culturally important places like the Negro League Museum and the Jazz Museum. Thanks for visiting though!! Subscribed.
When are you going to update your opening with the new truck?
Probably by the end of the year.
