I have recently become interested in computers from the early 2000s. I don't remember what I had in my computer from 2006, but I would build such a device and play games from that period. I read that it's a different experience and it's not about nostalgia, it's really a different experience

For me its both in one hand its nostalgia becasue of the old games, and on the other hand I became interested in retro hardware because I want to know how the games run with old graphics cards.
Since I can only find very few or no videos of many old graphics cards on the Internet and especially on RUclips, I decided to make such videos myself. My project is big. This is just the beginning^^

Blows my mind that the 360 was able to run this game with higher fidelity than this. What an amazing console. Love the vid and retro cards!

The 360 came in the end of 2005. Much earlier than PS3. The Sofware is like a Athlon 64 X2 5400+and a GPU that was close to Geforce 7800 GTX. Its of course better than AMD ATlon64 3700+ and a Radeon X600 XT

Wow, looking at this really reminds me of 12 years ago where I played Oblivion on my Axioo (local brand) laptop that has i3-2310M, 2GB RAM and Intel HD 3000 and it performs more or less similar to this video xD the memories are coming back to me haha
Now I play Oblivion at 120 fps with my RTX 4070 laptop.. I much prefer the state I'm in right now, but looking back on old specs gameplays like this is always fascinating.

It's kinda weird to think acquiring these older components needed to make the game run poorly is harder than just bying today's "cheap/budget" components and having it basically run perfectly.
It's harder to make these older games run poorly than it is to make them run smoothly, that's fuckin' sick!

      yes that's true haha
but for me older graphics card are more interesting because it was a great time and the cards were more different than today from the design and cooling too. Today the cards look almost the sam, because of the big cooler... for me Its boring.
And in other hand ,the old games are much more fun for me.
retro cards are more expensive because its difficult to find, expescially rare cards are: Radeon X800XT, XL, Radeon X600XT too,
      Geforce 6800, 6800 GS, 7800 GT.
If you want to have a retro system like me and seeking for a cheap retro card for P4 or AMD Athlon 64. i can recoomend Geforce 7600 GS or 7600 GS, there are many of them with cheap price.
If you want to build a retro system with Core 2 Duo or AMD64 X2 or even Core 2 Quad than i would recommend Geforce 8800 GT/ 9800 Gt this are great cards and cheap.
soon my PC from 2015 with GTX 970 will be a retro Computer:) it's the newest PC what i have now^^
