Let’s be honest, the animation is extremely underwhelming but the story and hype carries this series so hard. For a sports anime, if it had Kuroko no Basket levels of animation it would be the best thing out right now (probably)

The problem is that nowadays we are so used to have shows with an amazing animaton that we are always dissatisfied for animations that "aren't amazing". If they see we are actually fine with that chances are they wont increase the budget on the second season (which will come 100%). They actually foreshadow how each evolution in humans (in this case players) are mostly aspired from their shortcomings. Every time we evolve, we do so to either shape ourselves with the existing environment or to overthrow it to create a 'better' one for ourselves, thus "egoist" cause every choice we make to please ourselves, might and could be deemed selfish by others, but why should one listen to the opinion of others for one is who suffers the consequences alone?

I think the animation is pretty good and don't know what people are complaining about. I've easily been more hyped throughout these past 17 episodes of Blue Lock than I ever have been throughout the entirety of Demon Slayer. Good animation doesn't make a good story.

Finally we see Isagi reading the field of play the way I thought he was going to in his last match. I don't know why he seemed to have lost this ability in the last game, but we're back on track now. It's good.
I think the more players around that take the focus away from him, the better Isagis ability to position himself in blind spots becomes. In 2v2 it was way harder than when going up on the players count. Barou and Nagi require so much attention that Isagi can move through the shadows and position for the perfect direct shoot. Since if we win we go up in players, Isagi becomes better and better and others see his true value skyrocketing, like they did in this episode.
So is nobody talking about how not only barou was used but isagi literally dropped a BOMB from close to half court?!!?!?. He had the confidence to try that longer range shot.
