From the research I’ve done on this you didn’t need to strip the bearing down to metal, you can leave a bit of the base rubber as it gives the JXB something to clamp on to. So they say lol I May need to do this on my 16’ Charger so I appreciate the video and seeing the process! Thanks amigo.

You're correct! They want you to leave the rubber on the bearing. Fortunately i did a terrible job at getting the old rubber off.

Were you able to get a good clamp on the bearing after removing the rubber from the bearing? How is it holding up without it?

Its been holding just fine. Thankfully there is plenty of grip. I really should have read the instructions that JXB has posted on their website.

Will this product work on a 2018 300s awd wheel drive?

Jay at JXB is amazing. I ordered one of these for my RS3 through a dealer and had trouble with them shipping the product. I took a chance and reached out to JXB as the dealer was blaming the "manufacturer for the delay. Jay responded right away. He stated he had not seen a order from the dealer so he reached out to the dealer and what do you know they placed an order. Top notch customer service from JXB. more companies should follow Jay's lead

At $300.00, I can replace more than five stock units for the same price or less. Don't need to replace the entire driveshaft, just the center bearing housing complete.

so whats your strategy and parts to use? $300 for this kit is pricey for something dodge should replace for free to everyone. carrier bearing going out before 80k is rediculous.

I've got over 100k on my 2014 300c Hemi with the factory carrier bearing, still tight and no noise.@@holeeshietpyro4072

Did you have to lower your exhaust at all?

    • @WheelsOfFaithGarage

I did not have to lower the exhaust. I just had to remove the heat shield.
