    I have to say, for a year and eight month wait for this chapter, I did find it rather disappointing. I feel like there should have been a lot more time and action from the player dedicated to chasing/finishing off Ruby, but all we had to do was send in the jet pack. Also, because it was the jet pack that kills Ruby and the other ship, technically you didn’t do too much. So I’ve kinda written out what I think would be a better ending in my point of view.
    Like I feel like this idea sort of ruins the whole vibe of the game where it essentially allows you to take all the time you need to figure out the puzzles, and then certain events of the game aren’t affected by timing, but I think a submarine dogfight scene would have been really cool. Ruby escapes on her ship, it breaks down and the large H.A.V.O.K ship comes down to collect her. But then you activate the ladder to her lair again and she has another, less-technical prototype submarine for you to chase and shoot down her and the H.A.V.O.K sub.
    Also, the game was hinting at one of Ruby’s flaws; her cockiness. As the H.A.V.O.K sub retrieved her, the H.A.V.O.K sub’s A.I voice says how H.A.V.O.K “is here to clean up your mess yet again,” implying Ruby isn’t as suave and smooth as she makes out to be with her missions and therefore H.A.V.O.K has had to step in to help her numerous times. That has lead her to not successfully killing Agent A either. So I also felt if the game hadn’t brushed over this as quickly, it could have been something more, even though the consequence of this was how Agent A is still alive and we can still play the game. But story wise? It had potential to make the cutscene more interesting.
    Back to the submarine shootout. You hop in, drive it out into the waterfall and fall down with it into the sea below, and you’re off. Instead of getting a video game-type thing where it’s like Call of Duty and you have to time your shots to be effective and not get killed yourself, but you get a ton of buttons and crap in front of you. There are two ways I thought how these buttons could work; there is an instruction manual (it’s a prototype and needs instructions idk) and there are patterns for you to click the buttons in a certain order for you to dodge and shoot at the H.A.V.O.K sub. But if you don’t dodge the other submarine’s attacks quick enough, you don’t die, but you just get shaken up a bit (and possibly have to start over the pattern to form your attack). Or there is no written down pattern for you to follow, so the buttons form a Simon Says type of thing where the player has to repeat a pattern of lit up buttons. After about three to five shots of different combinations the H.A.V.O.K ship goes down, and you win the battle, and it transitions to a cutscene.
    I guess the prototype submarine should have some sort of screen device where you can receive video calls. So the whole Chief scene is still there, but it syncs up with your submarine‘s screen so the scene basically happens but in the submarine. I loved the part with Onyx, but in this cutscene, it wouldn’t make sense for onyx to be on the submarine. So the cutscene could end with us driving the submarine out into the sunset and do the ascending camera technique used for the original ending, but it’s further out at sea.

      AnonymousFyreFly apple gave them a big sack of money and said develop a game in this short period of time. This in conjunction with their decision to put the game on all platforms and the fact that they are pretty much a two man team is why it took so long to develop
