In 1985, I attended a Rodney Dangerfield show in Las Vegas where he said, "I just don't feel funny today." FORTY YEARS LATER and I still remember that. I couldn't tell you a single joke, but I remember that.
Keep it up i suddenly got interested on magic because of this platform great videos and contents produce more reels to gain scrolling audiences And more review videos❤
Great advice. It really does apply to every type of performance as well. I'm a musician, and I've been told my whole life that if you make a mistake, you should never show it through your facial expression. If you play a wrong note, it's tempting to want to grimace or frown, but that only makes it obvious that you made a mistake, when most people probably didn't even notice to begin with. A couple times I've seen professional, world-class musicians literally forget entire sections of the music and have to stop completely to backtrack, but they laugh and make a joke about it. When that happens, it distracts everyone from the mistake, and it's even entertaining. Love your content, Braden!
This more like a life advice, good stuff👍 FYI, I just came to see a video of you doing that misdirection trick (follow the P) and got a life lesson about pushing through setbacks...
Very rarely. I’ve seen tons and tons of comedy. I love it so much. The worst, and I’ll admit it’s a different scenario, is when there’s a small crowd and the performer comments on it. Don’t complain to us. We’re here. Do your set. Work on your stuff. Use this time to get better. And I mention that because it’s sort of the same with a mid set. I don’t think he’s talking about someone absolutely bombing, but just an interview that is FINE. If the crowd is enjoying themselves don’t call attention to the fact that you’re not at your best, y’know?
If i was on stage, the cards were in a certain sequence .....AND I DROPPED THEM and couldn't recover. 1. I would look at the audience 2. then put a sarastic confused look on my face 3. then look at the audience again 4. then i'd say, You sir... in the front row,.... Now you thought sitting in the front row you would't get picked didn't you? Can i get you to come up here for a second, can you assist me for a moment he would come up 5. and i would say..... Now... can i just get you to pick those cards up for me 6. Now make sure i can't see them 7. Now hand them to me 8. Thank you.... He would look at me then i'd turn to him and say... Oh .. sorry , you thought i was going to guess your card.... No No... i just needed you to help me pickup the cards, that trick was called 52 Pick Up. but look for being such a good sport here's a fresh deck of cards, Pick a card... Etc etc
Yup, 99% of the time, you're the only one that knows a mistake was made. Just keep going and the audience will be none the wiser (unless they know the trick, but they'll usually commend you for the recovery.... usually, lol). Take care and keep doing what you're doing.

This guys going to blow up if he keeps making these videos constantly, the channel production is crazy for such a small channel
Thank you!! It’s the consistent part that’s hard!
Woh
@@BradenCarlislewell keep it up, cause they're right. With your production quality, if you just stay consistent, you're going to blow up

Good advice. From almost every perspective, the ability to recover is more important than the mistake.
Absolutely. Most of the time it doesn't matter if you fall, but that you get back up again. It's cliche advice, but it's cliche for a reason.
Turn your failures into successes and learning experiences!!!

Great advice for life in general. Thanks!
Hope everyone can take something from this :)
It’s funny for Conan to say that coming from a comedy background… sometimes calling out your bomb is the relief the crowd needs

Great video! Every mistake is also a lesson learned. You have to fail to become great.
Absolutely! If you're not failing, you're not learning!
