Body building is not part of a health obsession, because body building is not aimed at optimising health.

South Korea doesn't treat very well their elderly like this documentary intends to portrait, amongst the 38 OECD nations, South Korea has the highest rate of elder poverty. 46% of their citizens aged 65 or over live in relative poverty. They have about 3k nursing homes. Their elderly have a high suicide rate (one of the highes in OECD nations as well). This is result of researching for 5 minutes and reading the papers and medical journals with population studies. This documentary is poorly researched and written. How much South Korea government paid for this???

What your research didn't show you is what constitutes poverty. The measurement that was used was income in all the data you researched. Look at what the data measures. The problem with this data is they don't factor in culture. Koreans and most eastern Asian cultures have filial piety. This does not really exist outside of Asia. In Korea most children take care of their elderly parents and have them move into their home when they retire or get too old. Generally the elderly invest heavily in their children and even give all their assets to their children when they get old. They have no "income" but they are not living in poverty. I have a friend that is very successful and recently had his elderly parents move in. They live in a $2 million apartment in Seoul. His parents no longer have "income" with the exception of a small social check they receive every month but all their needs are taken care of by my friend and his wife. Are they living in poverty? The data that you used would say so. Of course other countries have to use income to measure the elderly poverty since their culture is not about taking full responsibility for their elderly parents. What you don't understand and your western data didn't take into consideration is a difference in culture. Some more data for you to research....Homelessness. Korea has a very low rate of Homelessness. These rates are per 10,000 people. Korea 2 / United States 16.4 / Portugal 8 / Australia 49.1 / Brazil 10 / Canada 10 / Denmark 11 / France 45 / Germany 28. I suggest when you research next time, be objective, know what you're researching, factor in culture, know what the data is measured upon and stop getting your info from youtube channels and western bias media. Because I'm willing to bet Korea is safer, has less crime, more advanced and they treat each other with more respect than wherever you're from. And this is coming from an American who isn't even Korean. You obviously have a bias against Koreans which I find hilarious. I'm an American so I understand haters from other places. Korea is killing it nowadays so I can understand the inferiority complex. Stay safe and try not get pick pocketed, robbed, assaulted or worse.
