- On November 25, 1990, the Portland Trail Blazers blew past the San Antonio Spurs, racing ahead to a 49-18 lead in the first quarter. The Blazers had 18 assists as a team in the quarter -- still a franchise record. “It was like a clinic on how to play the game. I’ve never seen a better quarter," head coach Buck Williams remarked after the game. The Blazers would go on to win 117-103.

Buck Williams was a BEAST...noooooobody wanted to mess with Buck!!! The very 1st time I EVER watched a basketball game, it was this team right here...and obsession ensued, till this day! RipCity for Life
I miss those days. I wish they would have won a championship.
Yeah we got so close. Lost to some of the greatest teams ever assembled though. No shame in that...
I remember listening to this game on the radio. Fantastic! RIP City!
this was part of the true golden age of basketball even though they didn't jack up tons of threes like today they could score
Best Blazers roster ever. Fun times.
the 90 91 and 92 blazers weren't as elite as their 77 team
2:05 take 'em home Jerome, what a show those Blazers when they got their running game on.
Man... How I miss that strong and fearless Blazers!
We had another one of these a few days ago against LA. 45-13 in the second quarter. It was a disaster every other quarter, but that second quarter was top notch.
Possibly the greatest NBA team ever assembled. They would have had two titles too if we didn't live in thi$ world.
RIP Duck, Jerome, Uncle Cliffy and... Snapper Jones ❤️
Gotta update this comment and get the Schonz on there..
Missed the 90's years players now had gone. Always in memories will never stop. Keep going currently players next 2019-2020 RIP-CITY. No matter what Go Trailblazers 🏀🏆
I remember watching the game at home. I was around 11yrs old. I miss that squad.
Same. I was 9 or 10
We all do
Forgot how this team created incredible synergy on court.
I remember that what a quarter in a zone!
I was at this game.. we arrived late at the end of 1 lol... we almost blew it and pulled it off late!
Typical :)
That was a special Blazers team that year. We started the season 19-1, went 63-19 and lost to the LA Lakers in the WCF. I am convinced that had we gone to the Finals, we would have won it all in 1991.
No one was beating the Bulls that year.
Team basketball of the past
🔥
At that time there were 2 faces of the Blazers: "Scary Blazers" and "Dumb Blazers". This was Scary Blazers. If only they played a 1st Q like this in any of the 3 home games in the '90 Finals against Detroit just 5 months prior, the Finals outcome could've been different. Perhaps Pistons would've still won, but 4-2 or even 4-3 instead of sweeping the entire 3 games played in Portland.
RIPCITY!!!!!!!!!!
I would take this balanced TEAM over the current MEam.
Eddie Doucett or Pete Peranica?
Rip Kevin 🦆
Misty water-colored mem-o-ries....of the way...we were...😪
buck williams was on the 97 and 98 knicks who didn't equal the 90 91 + 92 blazers but why were those teams not equal
clyde drexler wasn't as elite as patrick ewing who was officially past his elite years in the 98 semi finals vs the pacers
there wasn't the gorilla defense back then.
