I think you didnt let the polish rest, it is supposed to be 10 minutes of use and 5 of rest

I have this cheaper Hilda and still working fine on me. Maybe it defends to the user how to handle a cheaper polisher.

You should remove the side handler and handle clamp. It restricts the motor rpm while you're holding it. that causes the overheat

Plan to get one, stick on some 80 grit and using it as a sander for knocking down body filler.

I'd imagine there are a few "discount tool" places where you're at - we have Harbor Freight here in the USA - an acceptable DA polisher (acceptable for home use - doing a couple of cars a few times a year) goes for between $60 - $90 USD depending on the brand and if it's on sale / coupon - while it may not last you a lifetime they typically can be serviced (new brushes - a spare set came with mine) if you're so inclined. I've had my inexpensive DA polisher for about 5 years now and have done 6 or 7 cars at least a couple times a year - all but one car went through 3 sessions (medium cut, polish and seal or one step) and then another seal a few months later. Whenever my cheap-o DA dies I'll invest in a highly rated polisher that should last quite a while.

It almost looks as though the bearing(s) have failed - that would explain the wobble - aside from the motor the bearings are the second most expensive part to a tool like this.

Polisher looks awful. Looks lime the motor overheated due to the cheapness of it

He actually charges only $5 dollars but it's an additional $295 dollars for the life insurance if the buffer explodes.😢
