I’ll never forget that first encounter with the chainsaw-wielding Sadist, hiding in a locker as he passed by. What’s your most memorable moment from The Evil Within? - Alysia
The part where the long hair/legged/armed chick comes at you and you have to keep shooting the levers to turn on the flames... Panic mode was at maximum
Anyone else think the story was actually really good in the game? I know most people hated TEW but i thought the gameplay was spot on for a RE4 spiritual successor and the story was really interesting from start to finish.
The story reminds me of a screwed up Black Mirror almost. Granted, it's tonally different, but the reality bending moments and science fiction aspects are still there. I thought the ending was kind of a cop out, but I also found myself enthralled by the story.
Guys, remember when we where in the middle of solving puzzles, that weird Soft creepy music starts in the background, I used to Love that creepy music and cry.
For me until dawn was the best horror game till now i loved the story hope the evil within 2 can beat that game i just started playing like 5 mins of it and it already is amazing can't wait to finish it.
Although I would have to say we can't be certain that Ruvik actually got out. It may have been a side effect from the machine he was in such as Kidman in the dlc saw her hand not having the mark, but later does and something similar might also be happening to Sebastian.
Probably chapter 11 where you had to sneak by and run from the giant monsters with crosses chained to their backs, i remember thinking this game is pure insanity, and i lovef every second of it, cant bring myself to go through it again tho 😅
IM playing this game for my channel and oh my God it so good. I’m gonna play it over again when my 1st playthrough is done. The story and enemies give me a good challenge. Playing on normal mode I’m having A hard time. I can’t imagine the harder difficulty levels.
Pause. Ruvik made stem for 2 reasons. 1 like u said. To see his sister alive. But 2 more sinister. Stem ran off his brain waves. He was searching for a like mind to leave his own body. He found leslie. In case he died, theyed need his brain so he wud exist in the stem as ruvik. Until the organization attatched leslie to the stem in need of transfering ruvik into leslie. Hence getting ruvik out of their investment, hence kidmans un remembered objective.. Thanks for reading
The Evil Within is worth a try(i liked it).it's not that good but it's a fun game. The problem is that is not very polished. This is my point of view of course.I had played RE4 and Silent Hill several times. They are classics.
I'm a big fan of both RE games and Silent hill. I actually find Evil Within more intense then both. You'll be on the edge of your seat. This game should be getting more praise. If you like a great psychological horror game then get it. The story is actually is to understand, it just takes some thinking.
Well it's 2018 and I'm just now getting TEW 1and 2 by the looks of things it doesn't look bad at all...plus I just got re7....I guess I'm just getting into the Halloween spirit....I hoped I enjoy it even though I'm a bit late
Its crazy how popular this game is and I couldn't really get into it like that. Like I cant even get myself to watch this whole 5 minutes of the recap.
Blocky Orbits Wouldn't call him a good guy but he definitely has a tragic backstory and the Mobius corporation is another big evil force in addition to Ruvik.

Best enemy in the game.
When the squid enemy, Quell, would not die for the life of me!!
Mine was "How TF i can kill Ruvik ?!?"
Those black bar's gave me nightmares more than anything.
The weird thing about this game is some of the hardest boss fights are at the beginning of the game lol
Anyone else think the story was actually really good in the game? I know most people hated TEW but i thought the gameplay was spot on for a RE4 spiritual successor and the story was really interesting from start to finish.
Yea I agree the story was great I saw a lot of people hating on it on steam and was surprised I thought is was amazing
The story reminds me of a screwed up Black Mirror almost. Granted, it's tonally different, but the reality bending moments and science fiction aspects are still there. I thought the ending was kind of a cop out, but I also found myself enthralled by the story.
They don't understand the story and then they Complain about it
Loved it, but to me the dead space series clowns em all... Edge of your seat gaming for sure...
The story is great, the problem is the frustrating gameplay.
It's one of the greatest survival horror games with an incredibly amazing story which is a blend of Inception, Silent Hill and Shutter Island
Missed opportunity to call the video "The Evil Within 5 Minutes".
One of the best Horror games I have played, and maybe the best "wacko game" i have played.
Wow I actually think the story is pretty cool. Never understood when I played it way back
True its tough to pick up on all of that
So like a nightmare verison of Inception...
What an interesting story!
I only played 3 chapters and stopped a long time ago, oh man what I have missed!
Guys, remember when we where in the middle of solving puzzles, that weird Soft creepy music starts in the background, I used to Love that creepy music and cry.
You must be young.
Basically you run through the entire game with just a glimpse of your actual health trying to not get hit by thousands of one hit attacks
I only played it earlier this year after being really impressed with the E3 trailer for the sequel and absolutely loved it!
How about The Evil WITHIN 5 minutes
hahaha good one
First! The Evil Within is one of my favorite games of all time!!! I can't wait til Friday!!!!!! ❤
Josh AQBUMP Is so bullshit that most people already playing the game and uploading them.
Wow... must've never played a video-game or even watched paint dry in your entire life...
For me until dawn was the best horror game till now i loved the story hope the evil within 2 can beat that game i just started playing like 5 mins of it and it already is amazing can't wait to finish it.

So far i'm loving the evil within 2 (gameplay wise) the scares and random boss encounters are great. :-)
The evil within my residence on a silent Hill
that was explained AMAZINGLY!!! Thank you!
honestly, this is probably the best game ive ever played..
Ign thanks for this video 🖒
her voice is so good
freak
How did Castellanos got hooked onto the machine in the first place? They go to the hospital to investigate those murders and then? Did Ruvik did that?
My favorite game of all time. i finished it 15+ times. I have no words to explain how good this is.
Imo its an amazing game but not a repayable one.
Thanks, I always had a hard time comprehending the story. Lol
Probably chapter 11 where you had to sneak by and run from the giant monsters with crosses chained to their backs, i remember thinking this game is pure insanity, and i lovef every second of it, cant bring myself to go through it again tho 😅
1:37 his childhood's only WHAT?
IM playing this game for my channel and oh my God it so good.

got the platinum trophy for this game 2 days ago. it was tuff, but felt so rewarding.
Just wondering, did anyone think of Westworld when they saw the white goo from the evil within 2 trailer?
What is the music 5 minutes into the gameplay? Where the character is walking around trying to avoid leather face.
Just what I needed
Nice i haven't understand the story until now

This was a badass game. I can't wait for the evil within 2.
Thanks so much for this video!! It makes so much easier to understand than when I play
Actually, I believe the theory that he is still inside stem
It could be lol
This video was great. Its such a shame the game tells a pretty cool story so incoherently.
HOPEFULLY they come out with the 3rd one
I missed one thing, the guy with glasses died?
Yep ( tell u in TEW 2 )
He didn't. It is mencioned in TEW2.
Why does the game looks so smooth in this video...but when i play it on my ps4 the frame drop is horrible...
Awsome vid!!
Is there a embargo on the review not sure if I should buy the new game or not?
The embargo lifts on the 12th, Bethesda is finally sending review copies again
Thanks for this. Just got number two and didn't know the story
Season pass in on sale at 5e...Are the episodes worth playing?
Thanks that really helps👍🏻
I really wanna play this it’s like RE4 and silent hill but a lot of people saying the game is not that good.
They are wrong. It's great.
The Evil Within is worth a try(i liked it).it's not that good but it's a fun game. The problem is that is not very polished.
This is my point of view of course.I had played RE4 and Silent Hill several times. They are classics.
J. Michael the game is amazing dont let mediocre opinions take away that experience from you
J. Michael it's because they are not good at it that's why

Evil within is the best horror game developed after resident evil 4. RE5 and RE6 was sort of like action games less horror content more action.
Exactly what i thought. re5 and 6 are more about action
Thanks for the video! Love the game!
I know finally completely understand this game.
Really Well Explained......
Thank you so much. This video was the deciding factor in me and my gf getting the Evil Within 2. Cheers!
When you realize that the brain he stepped on was Leslie
Best survival horror game have played this generation
Laura is the most scary boss ever produced in games
I’ll never stop saying the EW2 is a masterpiece and this game was just another super hard horror game.
Best horror game for this generation
Nice. now I can buy 2nd without playing 1st one, coz EW2 focused on stealth more 💯🔥
Now i understand the story! It’s actually pretty good :)
the matrix, insection, and the robocop 2's end (when morphy smashes the bad robot's brain) within!!!!!
The Cell meets Inception
One of the best games I ever played.
I have to finish the DLC before I get the second game.
Well it's 2018 and I'm just now getting TEW 1and 2 by the looks of things it doesn't look bad at all...plus I just got re7....I guess I'm just getting into the Halloween spirit....I hoped I enjoy it even though I'm a bit late
You made it simple haha when I played it ..it was so complicated for me
Fantastic game. Not perfect, but still so memorable. I really enjoyed my time inside STEM.
The evil within ending is confusing , first he wake up and see Leslie woke away then another scene is shown that he's in a lab with Kidman
So basically it's a form of genjutsu, Itachi's Mangekyo Sharingan: InfiniteTsukyomi turned into a game. Sounds fun.
Yeah. That's actually a pretty good example of what it is. It's a fun game I'd recommend checking it out
ScurryMurray everyone whos played it seems to like it. Is it worth the buy is the big question, in other words does it have replayability?
Its crazy how popular this game is and I couldn't really get into it like that. Like I cant even get myself to watch this whole 5 minutes of the recap.
The forgot to cover the executioner dlc
Thanks a lot... I bought evil within 2 and I then learned that I have to lay the first one.....
Is it wierd that im more hype for the evil within 2 than i was for resedent evil 7 ???
Infinite tsukuyomi?
It was an amazing game. Great pace, solid fun. It was RE 4 with better graphics, better story and better game play
Needs a movie
Your voice cracks my speakers
I'm deciding to skip the first one so this is super helpful
What sound track you guys use in the video?
I absolutely love these reviews
is this producer the same from resident evil 4? if it uis this is a scary game to play high?
yea it is.
Yea its scary when you're stoned
That guy has been through hell
I dont know why, but I couldn't seem to get into The Evil Within. :/
zombieslayer me either it was weird I’m getting the second one though
The woman narrating this video reminds me of the woman you hear in the opening cutscene of Resistance Fall of Man. Is it the same woman?
is it a good game?
1:09 - 1:13 Chamber from Valorant
Never understand why ppl didn't understand the plot of the 1st game? It was pretty straightforward
So Ruvik was the good guy all along?
Blocky Orbits Wouldn't call him a good guy but he definitely has a tragic backstory and the Mobius corporation is another big evil force in addition to Ruvik.
tried playing on PC but it stutters so much that i had to watch a lets play cause my eyes started to hurt from all that stuttering
I was very confused when I played the game
Evil within 3 return of ruvik
I’m satisfied with this
omg, ruvik still alive.. damn
So it's somewhat similar to Abstergo
Assassin creed?????
can't wait for Friday 13th
jesus, how are the character models in the second game worse?
Y'all know what I mean :)
The sequel is brilliant.
So who originally hooked me up to stem??
So it’s basically the horror version of inception.
I'm more confused now than I was before
What is this? Do you shoot things? Is it a walking simulator? A movie?
Survival horror, think a mix of Resident Evil (4 and before) and Silent Hill
Why Ruvik reminds me of Lord Voldemort?
