I’ve lived by the beach in California all my life and have always been intrigued by surfing but also scared at the same time. After watching this it convinced me to stick to snowboarding.
I wonder how dehydrated surfers gets from getting all that saltwater shoved into them from when they go underwater. I also think its funny how he just falls (meatballs?) into the water when the wave is too big to surf😂

During a wipeout, surfers are usually hesitant to pull the vest as to not waste the cartridges but Kai seems to pull it riding the wave and I just want to know the reasoning behind it cause I've never saw a surfer do that before.

The POV shots are cool but you really should cut away [in the edit] to the long wide shots of the waves. When Kai paddles into a wave with the board POV, it looks like a 6 foot wave at my local break, not a 60 foot wave at Nazare or Mavericks. Just a thought.

Try surfing without rescue. This is so over dramatized. The gopro on the end of the board perspective sucks. I surf 20' on the Big Island with no skis , just me and one other guy. I've scratched for the horizon being caught inside by a risIng unpredictable swell not knowing if I would make it or not. No inflation, no rescue. That's true adrenaline. I respect you Kai, but this for ching ching is hilarious Just surf.
