AHHHHH! I struggled with this Wonder Festival. I initially recorded a reaction video that was 5 hours long! While I was editing it, I thought...this...is SO LONG and then I deleted it...
I was drained from that week and a half of working on that video that it took me till the end of February to post this video ಥ_ಥ I may be late to the party but I'm still excited and ready to rumble. Please rumble with me hehe

I agree about Figma. 99% of the time they will be on a shelf, so I'd rather they look their best as too many joints start looking like Pinocchio lol. I also bought that 1st Homura (Madoka Magica) PuP, but was disappointed that her glasses lacked lenses! It's great to see Goodsmile tackle older anime though, (like Gunbuster,) & reissuing that amazing 2016 scale figure of Kaori (from Your Lie in April!) 😎
That's a great way to describe them! They do end up looking like mini Pinocchio's!

Being someone who connected more with Homura than the others as a fellow "shy" or more "timid "person, the PUP was certainly a touch disappointing. And not only the "implies" lenses lol, but the expression lacked that "tragic" subtext too. But I saw that FiguARts mini, (Bandai's chibi line,) had their Homura on special, so I snagged it. So I'll prob have to pass on the new PUP, despite it definitely levels up the older one.
HanGoof!!! Seeing a new video of yours is like seeing an old friend. Your videos make me smile. Ugh! I'm being all mushy. Yuck, yuck! Haha! A N Y W A Y..... I'm so glad I watched this vid because I had absolutely no idea a new Roberta from Black Lagoon was in the works! I'm currently re-watching it and came to the realization that it just might be my favorite series. Okay, one of my favs. I mean One Piece... right, right?!?! But yeah I'm so looking forward to that one. Oh I also purchased the Wing Original Tech Gear Hatsuaki. I thought of you and all of your Neco figures when I made the purchase. I've always been interested in the Neco figs (Falslander, A-Z) but price plus being several figures behind in the series prevented me from collecting those. However the Tech Gear has only one figured out so far (if I'm not mistaken) so it was the perfect jumping on point. Plus I see there are a few others on the horizon which looks very cool. Another long comment, sorry. Okay later gator!

Gasp! I was eyeing Hatsuaki but decided not to get her. I'm jealous! All the upcoming ones from that artist look so tempting that I....I might need to expand my original figures. (¬‿¬)

I forgot if I might've mentioned it before (or maybe it was to another fellow collector reviewing Figure Showcases) but I decided to take my Frieren figure picks with elcoco; both their sitting down Frieren & Fern. I chose them because I planned on using them as book-ends for my Frieren manga on shelf and with other companies throwing their weight into the ring, I too really like Kotobukiyas' Frieren. One thing I'm starting to regret of not paying earlier attention to is the Mushroom Girls series. All of them is so, so, so cute! But now that there's about 4 of them? I'm believe it's gonna have hard time tracking the ones I have missed out..
I knew I would regret not getting that elcoco one, and after hearing your genius book end idea! I REGRET IT ALREADY! ಥ_ಥ

@@hangoofNever give up! I could only hope there's some leftovers on the second market on AmiAmi for the elcoco's Frieren & Fern. Or perhaps you might come across them in the wild, who knows?
Always a treat to watch one of your vids while kicking back! So many great figs coming out this year. I’ve got my eyes set on delicious in dungeon figures, namely Marcille by gsc and the senshi nendo. And that homera pop up looks too freaking good to pass up on. And I guess I’ll reveal my guilty pleasure announcement as well… the magia baiser nendo from gushing over magical girls 😅 the face plates capture her character perfectly and you even get a cute lil venalita (her tiny evil mascot)
There are so many Delicious in Dungeon figures coming out and they all look good! Which one of Marcille are you thinking of getting? The pup, nendo, or the scale?
OHOHO. I don't know the series, but when I was looking through the figures, her design did catch my eye. Especially because of that cute mascot that looks like a bat with towel arms. So cute!
@@hangoof I am probably going with GSC's scale for Marcille. The price is pretty fair imo considering how elaborate and lively the base is. I think too many of her details get lost in nendo form, but the pup is looking like a very solid budget option!
Gushing Over Magical Girls is fascinating to me. At the surface level it seems like a typical trashy fan service anime, but the themes are very wholesome and even inspiring. I'm also a sucker for a villain mc. The character designs are very rad as well.
The Koto Frieren’s face doesn’t impress me. I’m leaning towards the Good Smile option for now. Of course, I’ll await other manufacturers. If Alter picks Frieren up, for example, I’d be happy I waited. I also lean way further towards the recently revealed 2B. I think it’s her best PVC scale yet
I agree that the face of the Koto one is off but that flower base is drawing me in. I'm like a honeybee just being sucked in. I'm over here side eyeing Alter, just hoping they drop a Frieren!
There are so many 2Bs to choose from! So many are just being thrown at us! A bust of her came out of the left field too. It's a 2B buffet. ٩(˘◡˘)۶

The Albedo armored figure looks amazing, my only issue is, I wish it were So-Bin. Also, Guilty Gear getting some love; but, WHERE ARE THE I-NO figures.
We might have imploded if it was So-Bin, so maybe it was for the best. They're looking out for our health. hehe

I am looking forward to seeing the prototype of the figma for Zelda from TotK. In fact, I would love to pick up a complete set of TotK figma. I love posing my figures and I truly appreciate figma's smaller size and articulations. ♥( ˆ⌣ ˆԅ)
I was surprised by Nendoroid Ling Xiaoyu. She is my main from Tekken and I love her dearly. Never in a million years had I imagined her Nendoroid would one day be made.
The trio of Persona 3 Reload girls - Aegis, Elizabeth, Mitsuru - caught my attention. I hope at some point Megahouse would pick up the licenses of these characters for their Lucrea line because that is the product line I am sticking to for this franchise.
I am confident Kotobukiya will make a figure for Shionne (Tales of Arise) one day. With that said, I will readily admit that they are taking their sweet time getting there.
For the sake of Wallet-kun, I shall wipe my memories of the Madoka kimono figures... (o_O) ?
What was I saying? Oh yes. Makoka and Homura in their respective soul gem, while an interesting concept, do look a bit strange. I shall withhold judgment (and desire to purchase) until I see the final product in people's collections.

I hope more companies take on the Persona series. It would be nice to see more than just Persona 5 characters, as much as I love them.

Yes! I love the concept but the execution is a little bit wonky. We're both going to sit on the side lines and carefully side eye those soul gem Madoka figures. I'm interested, but I'm cautiously interested.
