@@DANDJREACT NCT has many members with many sub units and they have many hip-hop and other genre songs that you may like it. With my limited knowledge, the members keep adding up and NCT abbrievates for Neo Culture Technology. it may seem very confusing to understand how NCT works but they have given very new type of songs to the world. Being an ARMY, I love every group which has a good music, social messages, different genres and i don't want to see all of them as idols but as an artists and this is what BTS says all the time, haters always gonna hate and we must do what we love without any worries of what other people say about you.

Yuta obviously a member of 127 also is a rock fan. He is friends with Hyde, a famous Japanese rock artist and also loves listening to and covering jrock/ metal songs. he recently covered a song called Honey

NCT 127 have more of an experimental hiphop sound. Kpop groups do have different styles but not only one genre so you can expect every group to have hiphop rock ballad r&b pop edm etc. The thing is like almost everyone in Korea love ballads, so they will have ballad songs too. They release a lot per year so every group has variety. Specially on their B-tracks. They also have solos, vocal solos or dance solos in concert and after they established a bit they release their own solo albums but they still very active in group activities. They think the reason for being successful in a solo album is thanks to group and the fans that support the group so group activities> solo activities. Also the school show is usually Knowing brothers and the concept is like they all friends. Because in Korea seniority is very important so they use formal speaking all the time, except with people with your same age (only same age is consider friends, if older is older brother or sister) For other school settings is just a fun concept, there is korean couples in their 20s-30s that dress up in uniforms to go to an amusement park just for fun.
I’ll have to dive deeper into their music. So much to learn.

funfact most groups do play at least 1 instrument :) most of the time its guitar or piano but ive seen idols who can play things like trumpets and drums and all that jazz

I’ll start paying more attention to each member to see what instruments they play.
The masked singer is a competition show for a singer (idols/soloist), they wear mask so that the judge will judge (?) them objectively based on their talent/ability to sing and not be biased. Hope that helps.

You mentioned how some were good at English - this guide doesnt mention that Johnny is from Chicago, Mark is Canadian and jaehyun lived in America for 4 years.
Also, most Korean groups will be able to sing English songs/lyrics but that doesnt necessarily mean they know english - just that they learned the song/lyrics.
This was fun but hopefully someone can suggest a better guide with the info you're looking for that goes over all the members of NCT and Wayv instead of just nct127

@@DANDJREACT 10 languages is a bit of an exaggeration. Ten's native language is Thai because he is from Thailand, and he grew up attending an international school in Thailand so he spoke English in school and he learned Korean when he came to Korea as a trainee. He started studying Mandarin Chinese when SM decided to make him a member of WayV, NCT's Mandarin Chinese sub-unit, because most of the WayV members are Chinese and the group promotes in China. Plus, his grandparents are Chinese/Thai. And now he is learning Japanese. So, although he is fluent in the most languages of all the members of NCT, he only knows 5 languages, not 10. LOL
But believe me, 5 is impressive enough. And not only is Ten fluent in all those languages, but he often speaks in all 5 languages in one day or even one conversation, depending on who he is with or what country they are in at the time.
Also, as a Kpop idol, you learn at least a few phrases and words in every country or place that you promote in, so most Kpop idols know multiple languages, even if they aren't completely fluent. It's a big deal in the Kpop industry to be able to communicate with fans in their native language. Therefore, because Kpop groups and artists have fans all over the world, Kpop idols are some of the most multilingual celebrities.

@@DANDJREACT Yeah, RUclips deletes comments if you happen to mention something that they decide is advertisement for a site, company or product outside of RUclips or you post a link to something that it decides it doesn't want to promote. (Sometimes you have to get creative and instead of posting a link, post the actual name of the video so the person can search for it, or describe something without actually using the proper name, etc.) As annoying as it is, it's all part of YT's effort to prevent spam or stop promotion of illegal use of its site, etc.

40:38 Well, there's a big difference between a band and a group, most of kpop are groups, because they always sing or dance, and even though they know how to play an instrument, that's not the main focus. And kpop bands, they're not as focused on dancing. And yes on instruments and vocals or rapping. It has very good kpop bands like: Day 6, Xdinary heroes and the rose.😊

YESSSS my goodness The Rose is such an underrated group(I really recommend: she's in the rain, RED, sorry) . K-bands are amazing, one of my other favorites is Onewe, another underrated band (I would recommend their songs: rain to be, aurora, & end of spring). Xdinary heroes have that punk edge to them & their style is pretty cool to see esp as a newer-ish band. Day6 is also one of the older ones & seniors to stray kids from the same company(JYP ENT.), they're amazing, (I recommend: shoot me, I need somebody, & zombie)

We record almost 50 pieces of content each month. We pre record and pre schedule our videos 30 days ahead of time. The month of Aug is pre scheduled already so the earliest we can try to fit this in is September.
You guys were so fun on this reaction. Great job. Also, as far as housing, most labels require the band members live together and rooms are not that big. BTS announced to their fans in june 2022 that they are no longer living together and finally have their own places. RM said it just isn't realistic to expect grown men to live together forever. They said their relationships improved even more by having some personal space. Also, suga played the guitar and piano on two numbers in his latest concert tour. I bet tons of kpop bands can play their own instruments but as dance is the priority and the format for kpop they probably cant really demonstrate that during their concerts. Just a guess.

Yea I think showing your emotions in the west women get the ICK and don’t want you to express yourself. They say they do but in all reality that’s not how it works. Then if you try and express yourself to Guys they might laugh and think you are joking. The west is not a place for the weak. No one cares about your feelings if you are a man. Especially the older you get.
you had a question about the dorm room jaehyun was in at the end of the video so like basically all idol groups live together in one space. if the groups are larger like nct they split the groups up by different floors but all of NCT is separated in to at least 3 dorms based on their “fixed unit”: 127, Dream, WayV; members in multiple units. like half of 127 live on one floor and the other half has their floor. and also rooms in korea in general can be relatively small. usually if the members of groups want after a few years they can move out but nct still all stay together (except for chenle from nct dream bcs he lives with his family) despite them already being able to move if they prefer. they've gotten bigger dorms since this video was released so the space is a lot better.

Actually, although you‘re right on the dorm tradition for these Idol groups, most of NCT does in fact not live together anymore..
Just for a little clarification, incase anyone is interested..
NCT127, who were split into two floors (4 members in one; 5 in the other) are all known to be living alone now. (If not with family or whoever - they don’t really talk about it anymore since it’s private)
NCT Dream, they are 7 members, but 2 of them are also in NCT127 (which was at some point their main Unit), so they used to live with them. For the rest of Dream, they are known to still live together in a dorm. Besides Chenle, who you mentioned. But he also lives alone and has his own apartment, since his parents live in China.
For WayV (NCT's Chinese Unit), I‘m not 100% sure, but they are also known to live in dorms!
But there are often times, where members are not in Korea due to overseas schedules and can be i.e in China for multiple months.
Of course, If I‘m wrong with anything, feel free to correct me czennie^^

@@sincerely-naiall good^^ It‘s actually hard to find the information written somewhere. You can usually only know these, if you watch their contents/interviews/lives, where they mention it briefly. Sometimes it‘s also just because of little remarks, where we can kinda figure out if they still live together or not!
And as the most recent example: in some of NCT127‘s recent content, they talked about living together in the past tense, so yea☺️
Interesting that you pointed out the school concept for "getting to know you" type of videos. The whole aesthetic is actually pretty popular in South Korea! Like to the point where, if you go to amusement parks or similar attractions, you can rent out a school uniform set since people like taking pictures with them

That is kind of like a channel or program in korea, where idols from any kpop group come and sing and yes most of the time the audience is just guessing who is the singer also is a competion sometimes agains other singer.

A lot of group members chose to live in the dorm after a while cause the company pay for it. Like Group SHINee they are a 15 year old group who definitely have the money but last time I checked some members still live in the dorm and some don’t. I think only 2 members like in the dorm and others have their on apartment. Plus must of the time is taken by their work so I think groups who stay together mostly rest 😅

Oh regarding drinking, it's a lot more free now. While they can't drink on content that will be broadcasted on tv networks, they are free to drink for content that will be available online (on RUclips for example). NCT 127 actually has done it quite a few times! The most recent one I believe were 3 members with the lowest alcohol tolerance out of the group, trying to find out who really is the worst one out of them lol
NCT is always drinking 😭Kpop groups in general can drink as long as they are of age, and they do play real beer pong with alcohol. There are some pretty popular drinking TV shows for idols to get drunk on, drinking is a big culture in Korea.

They are all grown up man (oldest is 29) so drinking is not their problem 😂 they are a bunch of alcohol contents from 127. Currently Taeyong the leader released his solo album a month ago! He also created SoundCloud, TikTok and RUclips channel owned by himself. And I think in nearly future 127 members will created more solo stuff too

Goodluck getting any audition tapes from SM lmao this company is big and competitive too so its harder to get a spot in a group conpared to BTS ngl. You gotta have the vocals and that it factor in SM plus the visuals are insane and its been like that since the beginning in the 90s.

Hi...pls know that when we say BTS is not K-Pop basically means 1.) They should not be just Boxed as a K-pop group with just K-pop music because they are Mainstream Pop Artist that can actually compete with Mainstream Artist globally. 2.) BTS became successfull without the help of K-Pop and they even paved the way for K-pop even if that industry always sabotage BTS. 3.) BTS not only sing Pop Music but alot of different genres too you just have to listen qithout prejudice and We are sure you will also like BTS's music and understtand them more. #Borahe 💜💜💜
