Great review. Thanks. All other reviews focus on 201 hp instead of the 136 hp. Also, great focus on details, acceleration, safety features and practicality.
The WLTP went up on the facelift partially due to the fitting of Michelin Premacy 4s in place of the earlier models Premacy 3s. Our 39kWh is regularlyboffering over 200 miles range
Great video Natisha! You're becoming a brilliant resource for EV cars nowadays!! We're really looking forward to getting our hands on the Ioniq 5 now! Let us know if you wanna come see?😀
Thank you Kevin! I do feel like I’m starting to fully understand EVs and their differences! Oh wow that will be amazing! Definitely - I did get to see one yesterday 😁 looks very prestigious!
As always, great video, Tish! As you know, I’m not the biggest fan of these small crossovers with funky styling, but I’ve always liked the Kona. So much so that I talked one of my friends into getting a lime green Kona Limited with the 1.6 turbo engine. With that engine, it seriously moves! Can’t wait for more videos!
You are right a black roof looks great on the Blue, pur 39kWh Facelift Premium has this. We threw out the standard boot board & polystrene and with a new boot board gained 80 litres boot space so now close to e-Niro, we also have a Frunk for cables etc
I’ll be honest I’m 5’5 and I had no problems at all but then I do quite like sitting down a little lower so it’s hard for me to comment. Lots of movement in the seats.
The comment about "thrills round the back roads" are a bit odd to me. Everyone reviews this as a budget golf gti. Add some better tyres and you're getting a 5second 0-60 and handling better than any of its rivals. Also gotta account for the mini only having sub 200 range. Honda E getting real world range of under 150
Back to the awesome reviews, great video Tish. I do like the Kona, shame about the boot and Interior, compared to its rivals its a bit boring. The range on the smaller battery model is still perfect for those with a small daily commute, 20 - 30 miles. Enjoyed the review 👍🏻
Thank you! Yer it’s a shame that considering the outside is so ‘out there’ that the interior does not mirror it but then again maybe the audience prefer a plainer interior 😊
We are having the Kona Ultimate with the bigger battery, we just need to decide on the colour. But I cannot seem to see all colours in ‘real life’ so to speak, what is the name of Blue colour your test drove. ? Great review Natisha. Thank you 🙏
Pretty certain this is 'Surfy blue', 'dive in Deju' is slightly greenier (which I really like) either way I would be inclined to add a black roof if that is an option? I think that looks smart!
I really like this car but I would go for the 64kwh version. I am mostly doing local journeys but I need to drive to London, Birmingham and Manchester in the next few months so I need the extra range.
While these family EV's are fine, I'm not part of their target audience. Besides, having seen Hannah's video yesterday, I was kinda hoping you would do a video on one of the Cupras. 😟
Hard to tell in UK there were 2 blues available, non metallic one is 'Dive in Jeju' blue, the metallic is 'Surfy Blue', both look similarly stunning from a distance

Great review :)
I think the car is best viewed side on. The rear doesn't look too bad either, but I'm not too sure about the front.
I agree!! I do still like a physical grille, even if it serves no purpose 😂
There is underfloor storage in the boot, under that black tray
Oh interesting! Thank you so much!

The line green isn’t an option any more!! It’s a real shame!

I didn’t know there was an option for a smaller battery as we only get the 64kwh version here in Australia. Nice video again Tish.
Yes it does seem to be a lot less popular though. Still not a bad option for some short journey drives! Looking forward to what you thought of it.
@@AutoSocialUK you’ll be able to find out tomorrow when I upload my video.😉
@@WebbyOnCars looking forward to it!
If a 64Kwh is needed anywhere I guess its Australia
Thanks for the great review, i'm seriously considering the 39kwh Kona myself- how did you find the driving position? I'm 5'3"
I’ll be honest I’m 5’5 and I had no problems at all but then I do quite like sitting down a little lower so it’s hard for me to comment. Lots of movement in the seats.
@@AutoSocialUK thanks, that is good to know!
Love that colour

Tish Great review thank you
just to add top spec option of dark or light leather seats heated front and back /ventilated front /sunroof/
Thank you very much for your comment
Very good secondhand buy these suspect as the demand not as high. Knew was practical for you for work. Bit of contrast to an Abarth.
Good, real world video Tish!
Thank you for watching Barry!
Hyundai is progressing silently and at a steady pace
I got to drive the 120N this week and loved it!

The 39kwh battery pack does 0-60 in 9.9sec according to Hyundai
Is 0-60 really around 8sec ?
I put the electric Kona in the cool section, and the regular Kona in uncool.
Plus, what cars do you think are seriously uncool?
Sounds good. It's hard to place cars in categories when they work for some people and not others.
The cool wall is not about how good a car is to drive or value for money. It’s how cool I think the cars are.
@@AutoSocialUK You know what, the Kona is now uncool.

It's always better to have more than you need if it fits in budget!
We have had 64 for 5 years. Great car, 3 x to outer Hebrides, easy job.
Good review. Thank you.
Great review 👍🏾
I appreciate it
you have an amazing blue eys
Great EV from Hyundai. Converting a petrol to electric and keeping FWD isn't great but then again it's not aimed at keen drivers
I’m looking forward to more performance EVs!
Great job. All
love this car review , your amazing tish sorry see your vw up go
Thanks!! 😁 hope you’re well!
@@AutoSocialUK yes im very well thanks for asking
Whats the difference between 39kwh and 64kwh?
25!

Wednesday will be a head-to-head on the Formentor and Leon Estate and then next Saturday will be the Formentor Hybrid. Lots to look forward to!
@@AutoSocialUK I can hardly wait!
No, pay a little extra and get the longer range bigger battery Kona Electric.
