Gotta admit, I love seeing you suffer, Mike. xD Hilarious! More of this, please. I had quite a few bad days recently, too, it's just good to see I'm not the only one. My stories of pain (the memorable ones): I had a level 49.5 hunter and I thought I just get 2 clues and maybe a meathead and extract. I took a silenced Vetterli and was very quiet, mostly walking on unusual paths, got a clue from each boss and was glad to see that both bosses were on the other side and no more clues on mine. I finally blew up a meathead and started running to the extraction. And then I got a headshot from a solo. Another time I played with a random ally, we got the bounty, then he got killed by a solo. I killed the solo and revived him, we kept on moving. Then he got killed by a team. I killed the team and revived him. Then he decided that the other bounty isn't THAT far away, so we started running towards a different extraction. They were of course too far away and extracted, however another team chasing them wasn't. I just had enough time to tell my ally what great ideas he has, before I got a headshot. Another time I'm sitting calmly at Ash Creek Lumber with a deadeye Vetterli, waiting for a very noisy team to arrive. I shot, I hit, I hit again, nice body shots all over the place for both of them, a few in the chest, a few in the stomach, a few in the shoulders, maybe an arm. Must have been 10-12 hits, I started running low on bullets. That's when another team started shooting at me (and only at me). So I rotated around the compound, I wanted to finish the team I thought must have been low on meds. Then they got a single hit on me. And it was game over. Anyone else something painful to share?
Damn, I always knew there was somebody sitting in Crytek and deliberately ruining your matches and finally it is confirmed! Thanks, Mike! The good thing is that the person responsible for this stuff isn't working 24/7, so we can actually play sometimes.
I've been playing just over 5 weeks- not even scratched the surface in terms of the ways to die. It seems infinite. The game evolves differently each time and that's inherently brutal but it's also why it's so interesting. Bugs and clunk aside, I think this is something the designers have got just right. I love it. Thanks for the videos Mike.
Hey mike probably already posted a comment on this one, but hey, 7 month, barrely remember what i ate last night. anw Just made a game, 7 kills, 5 of them were heashot, double bounty and stuff made my way to the extract. go randomly heashot waiting for the extract... from then, 5 more games, 5 games where i died agains't AI, random headshot, from falling while being shooted by a sparks... long story short, hunt taketh more than it gave me this day still, I enjoyed, it's how hunt is... loved this one ! very relatable, and very enjoyable video ! keep it up

It's kinda funny you uploaded that yesterday because the game literally took my soul yesterday as well. it's uplifting and funny to see someone else getting fucked by Hunt, but when it happens to yourself it's just... pain. x)
Hey Mike! I was the native who killed you with a poison arrow yesterday, and my partner killed Joe with an axe and poison cloud. Never actually expected to meet you in the game. Hope you include that in a video somewhere! Joe's screaming was so funny. Also your deductions were wrong, I wasn't killed by anybody at that moment. While my buddy got inside a boss lair, I killed a guy with two scottfield shots outside (you commented "somebody died outside"), and sneaked in with a bow while Aranyr killed Joe with an axe. That's why you both never saw me. Actually I was aiming the entire time you ran to banish. Judging by the video, clay colors blended in with the boss lair really well, I was surprised you didn't see me. Shortly afterwards I died like a total potato though GGs

With the bear trap placement bug, I feel I've had some success with swinging it as a melee weapon a couple times then trying to place it. Might just be a placebo effect
Don't get me wrong hunt can be fair and you can die because you got outplayed but YOOOOOOOOO sometimes this game can just take a big fat dump all over you and not even apologize. Im glad you made this video because it's so relatable and honestly makes it easier to accept that sometimes you really just get unlucky and there's nothing you can do about it.
It’s so funny how the AI attack the hell out of me every time I’m fighting multiple groups. They will run right past the people I’m fighting and run straight up to me. Like you said the AI seem at times to be controlled by satan himself.
There is just something about Hunt I cant quit. Even on bad days, and even though its for some reason messing up my computer. I still love to play it all the time
Few days ago I was just killing scrapbeak solo at Forked River Fishery usual stuff. Threw a stick at him, and then shit went south pretty quickly: Scrappy blew up a window next to me with my own stick, a Hive triggered , so I ran outside to kill her, but both my throwing axes went over her head and hit another hive, which dies and despawns with both my axes. At this point I was poisoned pretty hard, so I went to a doorless barn next to the lair to fight off the bees and let the poison pass. Instead, now unarmed, I encountered four fucking dogs inside and had to fucking flee once more, now bleeding as well, only to be cornered by enraged Meathead... So I ran inside the lair to get rid off all the shit pursuing me, finished of the boss (still being in 50), when I hear a Slide door beside me open. I try to ran outside, but Scrappy decides to throw his concertina at me before death, I open the door only to be desynced on the concertina right back inside, and instantly one tapped by the guy who just entered the lair. Sometimes the amount of BS in this game makes me think Crytek hold a personal grudge against me...
When I have days like these, I sit back, sip some whiskey, grab my buddies, and we go fishing. And by that, I mean run quad FMJ LeMats with slugs or DB and just go hitmarker fishing through walls in the compounds.

i won a QP with with about 7 kills, walked out with an avto and 2 uppercuts as got lucky with quartermaster, then proceeded to get 1 tapped at the first compound in bounty hunt
Reminds me of all the times I’ve gotten clear kill shots with shotguns and the game said “nope”. Or when you kill someone and desync is so bad you drop dead from their shot after they are already on the ground
I remember in the ‘light the shadow’ event I absolutely grinded for the wayfinder bow skin, after I got enough points (500) and got the skin I took a long break because I was a bit tired of hunt, when I came back I was exited to actually use the skin in combat, but it wasn’t there, and said it was locked. I contacted support and they came back a while later and said that I only made 493 points. Even though I did unlock it I suppose my game corrupted or didn’t save properly, so I never received the skin I spent hours trying to get. I have never been more hurt in hunt before. Hunt is harsh, hunt is cruel.
This is the perfect video for today, i got a long day of work and hours of college lectures after work. I hate Mondays, so long and exhausting, just need to survive few more months. Stay awesome mike, even when Hunt only taketh.
Oh man, I hate those times when out of nowhere you're just head shotted from 70-80 meters through a wall not long after the round starts. Happened to me so many times now. ☹
I once had a game where I was in a trio. We were in a massive firefight at Davant ranch. I killed 7 people and revived teammates constantly. Than later on we got attacked by a boss camper, teammates dead, i couldn't finish him off and i died to fall damage. Still was a super fun match cause of that high intense moment. Hunt giveth, hunt taketh...
I can get over dying 2 minutes into the match, but there's nothing more rage inducing than dying when you're 45 minutes in and only have one more team left between you and double bounty extract.
Finished a game in De Salle where the boss spawn at coal mine and we killed 4 ronin in the same compound only to see all of them have the same name tag in match summary, needless to say 2v4 was not fun at all~
"Brutal", yes, I had level 50 hunter I was on fire with. I was feeling little cocky even and thought "wow I'm going to be a solid six star", but then that same hunter got taken out in minutes yesterday without me getting a shot off, and I lost two more expensive hunters in a row after that. Reality check for me.
I had a streak of five headshots, felt really good you know? Today I died to leeches in the middle of a gunfight. Oh and before that I concertina bombed myself. I laugh later but at the time I just want to cry lol
I quit hunt recently after 20 hours of just straight up being killed first one shot every single game. no matter what I did just got a headshot as the opener of every fight... might go back at it in a few weeks when I have gotten over these frustrating days
Mike, tbh, this contend is not any worse, just because you did die. In fact, that is the real hunt we all love and play. That is why the good rounds are so valuable. Giveth more of those videos and taketh my like :)

Well, I feel some of those moments 🤣 Sometimes Hunt takes your morale, slaps it in the face, then it kicks your stomach, then your nuts and THEN it spits on you. AND THEN it sets you on fire. 😁

I had someone crouch walk up behind me and bow me in the head as I was banishing last week. I estimated they must have crouched for ages to get there. I would have loved to see this in replay- and GG, good strat and more patience than I have tbh.

I only use diplmoacy to GTFO. Either trading a teamate (and the remaining bounty) or just because I'm encircled and they aren't willing to push (and this fight is a nonsense several coupound away of any bounty).
"glad" to see I'm not the only one who's been cursed! I had a couple of bad days in Hunt, so much that I lost like 7k dollars, one star and 0.06 KD... Sometimes there's just nothing you can do against this game 🤷♂️

Threw a stick at him, and then shit went south pretty quickly: Scrappy blew up a window next to me with my own stick, a Hive triggered , so I ran outside to kill her, but both my throwing axes went over her head and hit another hive, which dies and despawns with both my axes. At this point I was poisoned pretty hard, so I went to a doorless barn next to the lair to fight off the bees and let the poison pass. Instead, now unarmed, I encountered four fucking dogs inside and had to fucking flee once more, now bleeding as well, only to be cornered by enraged Meathead...
So I ran inside the lair to get rid off all the shit pursuing me, finished of the boss (still being in 50), when I hear a Slide door beside me open. I try to ran outside, but Scrappy decides to throw his concertina at me before death, I open the door only to be desynced on the concertina right back inside, and instantly one tapped by the guy who just entered the lair.
Sometimes the amount of BS in this game makes me think Crytek hold a personal grudge against me...
When I have days like these, I sit back, sip some whiskey, grab my buddies, and we go fishing. And by that, I mean run quad FMJ LeMats with slugs or DB and just go hitmarker fishing through walls in the compounds.

I just noticed that you can give people the achievment with poison, bleed and fire just with traps.
i won a QP with with about 7 kills, walked out with an avto and 2 uppercuts as got lucky with quartermaster, then proceeded to get 1 tapped at the first compound in bounty hunt

Reminds me of all the times I’ve gotten clear kill shots with shotguns and the game said “nope”. Or when you kill someone and desync is so bad you drop dead from their shot after they are already on the ground
I remember in the ‘light the shadow’ event I absolutely grinded for the wayfinder bow skin, after I got enough points (500) and got the skin I took a long break because I was a bit tired of hunt, when I came back I was exited to actually use the skin in combat, but it wasn’t there, and said it was locked. I contacted support and they came back a while later and said that I only made 493 points. Even though I did unlock it I suppose my game corrupted or didn’t save properly, so I never received the skin I spent hours trying to get. I have never been more hurt in hunt before. Hunt is harsh, hunt is cruel.

I once had a game where I was in a trio.
We were in a massive firefight at Davant ranch.
I killed 7 people and revived teammates constantly.
Than later on we got attacked by a boss camper, teammates dead, i couldn't finish him off and i died to fall damage.
Still was a super fun match cause of that high intense moment.

I can get over dying 2 minutes into the match, but there's nothing more rage inducing than dying when you're 45 minutes in and only have one more team left between you and double bounty extract.
To me, the worst is getting headshot without having fired even once
Finished a game in De Salle where the boss spawn at coal mine and we killed 4 ronin in the same compound only to see all of them have the same name tag in match summary, needless to say 2v4 was not fun at all~

"Brutal", yes, I had level 50 hunter I was on fire with. I was feeling little cocky even and thought "wow I'm going to be a solid six star", but then that same hunter got taken out in minutes yesterday without me getting a shot off, and I lost two more expensive hunters in a row after that. Reality check for me.
I had a streak of five headshots, felt really good you know? Today I died to leeches in the middle of a gunfight. Oh and before that I concertina bombed myself. I laugh later but at the time I just want to cry lol

I quit hunt recently after 20 hours of just straight up being killed first one shot every single game. no matter what I did just got a headshot as the opener of every fight... might go back at it in a few weeks when I have gotten over these frustrating days

I only use diplmoacy to GTFO. Either trading a teamate (and the remaining bounty) or just because I'm encircled and they aren't willing to push (and this fight is a nonsense several coupound away of any bounty).
"glad" to see I'm not the only one who's been cursed! I had a couple of bad days in Hunt, so much that I lost like 7k dollars, one star and 0.06 KD... Sometimes there's just nothing you can do against this game 🤷♂️
