The Legend Of Barefoot Bandit: A Teenage Fugitive on the Run | Real Stories True Crime Documentary

  • Colton Harris-Moore's superhuman ability to escape capture by stealing airplanes and living in the wilderness made him a modern day folk hero. Fusing documentary, graphic novel style animation, and dramatic recreations, the film contrasts the story of a real kid who fell into burglary to keep from starving with his mass media persona, The Barefoot Bandit. While telling Colt’s larger-than-life story, this film examines the public fascination with underdog anti-heroes and how fame becomes the kiss of death for these outlaws we root for.

I have a commercial pilot's license with an instrument rating. During primary flight training it took about 13 hours before I was performing good landings on my own. Flying a light plane is not difficult, but to read a book and then actually do it does indeed show a high level of ability. It's actually amazing.

I know Im just an online guy, but if you havent seen it and you are a fan of this feel, I bet you "You Dont Know Bo" will be worth your time. The idea was to make if feel a bit like a comic book. You can clearly see the comic book story here while the real story is told if you look at it right. This documentary is UNBELIEVABLE... every once in a while you come across a channel where you can't wait to see the rest of the content- even fewer feature production like this for well over an hour. Well done by the creators. Well done.

7Ahilles It seems like the guy just really wants a reason to hate the US, no matter how justified, unjust or otherwise.
A great example of Confirmation Bias or “Cherry Picking”.

I thoroughly enjoyed it as well and I'm a documentary buff myself. Even the semi cheesy animated parts were alright.

TattedBoi I like how they animated it so we don’t have to watch some people talking for a hour

I've watched other documentaries on this same kid and I really wish they had of included the down time he had where he headed to Vegas for 5 months and became a black jack dealer. It would been a great switch up for the show for sure. So unexpected and against the normal MO that he had going on. Thats the time when people thought maybe he was dead.
He wasn't always in barefoot apparently. Lol
