Thanks for the info VR Videographer. Mistika VR says 'M1 integrated GPU is not supported'. Does this mean that Mistika VR will not work at all on a new MacBook Pro with M1 max? Or will it just be slow? I wonder how long it'll take for Mistika to play nicely with M1..
I loaded a trial of Mistika VR on a M1 Max macbook pro recently and it played reasonably well. I didn't try to render though so don't know how fast or slow it is. I did some stitching tests with Insta360Stitcher which was fairly slow
There's a technical preview of Parallels available so it would be easy to test whether Oculus or Steam run on a windows emulation. I doubt that the graphics will be supported though. Steam runs on macos big sur but again probably doesn't support the graphics. I don't have a Vive to test it
The comparison was really very interesting. I prefer to use Final Cut Pro because I don't like the subscription model at Adobe. I'm really looking forward to the video about the VR headset. keep it up, greetings
Thanks. I'll get the VR one together. In short, the 2020 imac with the 5700xt graphics card is a very good VR machine. It's handled everything I've thrown at it so far
Would the stitching use the GPU, and that is not yet optimized for the M1 Macbook? So the Macbook is doing it on the CPU mostly, instead on a faster GPU?
Not that I know of though to be honest even when using premiere I hardly use the 'no stitch workflow'. I prefer stitching first and editing with decent quality images. The no stitch workflow is usable but not great quality.
I just heard this from insta360. " it is still in scheduling and we may need some time to start the co relation with FCPX". I wouldn't hold your breath
Can you do another video with the new Mac Book MAX?

Stumbled across this looking for info about M1 Max performance in VR video applications - but very interesting nevertheless.
I'll be getting an M1 max machine in the next couple of months and will be testing it out for 360 video stitching and processing
@@VRVideographer do you think there will be a way to preview with a VR headset?
@@RichardSilvius Mistika VR now allows you to preview over wifi so that should work but for regular editing in premiere or fcp, don't think so yet
@@VRVideographer bummer! Looking forward to the day that becomes possible.
Thank you for your precious info.
Nobody has done any M1 VR videos yet. I was hoping it would be in this video.

the T2 chip boosts 2020 iMac performance a lot.

Hello Friend! Does autopano video pro 3.0 run on macbook pro m1?
Nice & Thanks Sir :)
Is there any news about the „no stich workflow“ for Final Cut Pro?
