  • So after 3 weeks of making roofs I finally am satisfied with the plug for the carbon fiber mold, its a long process to get a usable part but I thought that the best bet to have a single piece roof skin was to go composite.

Man, I can't wait for the following announcement: ''Dodge has just fired Ralph Gilles and replaced him with an emerging RUclipsr sensation named ''Junkyard Dave''. Mmmm. Actually, no so far stretched. You're equal parts: Car Designner, Engineer and Builder. Love your channel.

Perfection takes time and it's well worth getting this pattern perfect, because like you said, if it's not perfect, then the carbon fiber roof won't be perfect. This build must be really interesting, because I hadn't realised that you were up to part 34 already. I'm always keen to see the progress. Good idea to keep the third brake light and work out how to allow for a rear wiper. The brake light is a lot more important than the wiper, as it's a safety feature, whereas the rear wiper only serves to scratch the window. Looking forward to seeing the mould made.
All the best from Queensland Australia.

You're going to the trouble of molding and shaping a Trackhawk wing to a Magnum rear deck. For the wiper, why not shape a relief into the bottom of the wing that corresponds to the arc of the wiper's travel? Can't be much wider than the arm, and probably not very deep. Doesn't even need to be shaped, just a squared cutout.
