Curry kept hope alive in the game by coming alive. KD was cold until he needed to make shots in the 4Q. Joel battled at the rim and altered shots. He was a little disappointing defensively (rebounding) but made up for it in his big shot making. Lebron understood the gravity of the moment and took it up a notch when he needed to, putting his head down and driving to the rim where he is near unstoppable. He guarded Jokic and had a HUGE stop on the wing in the final minutes of the game. Steph had a huge steal and coast to coast and KD hit the dagger. The final 13 points were scored by the 3 faces of this generation of basketball. They emptied all the gas they had left in their tanks and I think that was evident by how those three (Steph and LBJ in particular, when Steph jumped on Lebron and they had that celebration moment together) celebrated.
To pretend this wasn't a team effort is stupid. They were ALL needed to win. Steph kept them in the game the first half, and yet they STILL would have lost if that *TEAM* hadn't LOCKED in.

That's a steve kerr defensive adjustment all day. Bron played Draymond's role on defense, Embiid was the help in the paint that also switched off Jok on perimeter screens. Bron's conditioning and physicality allowed him to battle Jok down low late in the 4th so Joel could stay fresh for offense and running the court. But Joel took on Jok 1-on-1 the rest of the game and kept him OUT of the paint entirely.

Embiid played jokic great especially considering his offensive impact on the other end. The problem is The best way to defend the pass is to leave the big in the paint and play a four on joker. That's why Minnesota can give him some fits because they have plenty of bodies to throw at him while keeping a center in the paint. Jokic could back LeBron down if it were 1 on 1 but Embiid lurking takes that option away. So then u give the credit to lebron cuz that's the better option between saying something slightly positive about Joel Embiid. But facts is facts. Embid sat and the lead grew. He came on the lead shrank. He was a plus what in a 4 point game?

I think Curry showed up in the most crucial moment, he's been struggling the whole tournament. But the truth is there's only one ball. If Curry didn't play that game It could've been everybody else chipping in. Durant might have gotten more shots up. Who knows if Tatum might have gotten his groove and we have had a more defensive lineup and those Serbian 3's might have been mitigated. In my opinion, keeping Jokic from playing 100% is the main goal. That's why Joel played heavy minutes. It's a team game. Debating who made the most contribution is moot, unless everybody else was playing like shit. They all played excellent, it was just a matter of trusting the hot hand, it could've been anyone, but this time it was Curry.

Steph in the 4th had 9 points in the 4th. Steph made the shot to give them their first lead 87-86 and got a key steal and layup.

I disagree with PG. This game was due to Steph, if he didn't cook early on up to the end this game had to potential to be a 25-30 point deficit. However, to PG's point, at some point we really to reevaluate the legends from the 10s decade in Steph, KD, and Bron. If we remove the overseas players like Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, SGA, Luka, Wemby, and we look at who's the best players in the NBA, at the top of the list are 3 dudes pushing 40 and not ready to let it go which should a testament of not only longevity but just straight greatness from the 3-headed monster of KD, Steph, and Bron to put Team USA on their backs. Embiid play good as well.
