This song and them doing as they do...it just gets me so much...i love the way she sings and her dance and just her moves, then the other two.....back to back, then the three doing the little stroll up and backk....SO PERFECT !!! This is such a GREAT ONE !!!

America was different in everything then great singers normal outfits no nakedness beautiful hair style great song. Why everything changed who changed everything?
Everything changed because of America's wealth, and the man's sinful nature. People became focused on material possessions, and themselves. Social media / cell phones are the biggest catalyst to accelerating the deterioration. People began sharing everything going on in their personal lives. Millions hid behind the privacy of on-line communicating and began saying anything to anyone. Many felt that their lives were not very exciting, when they looked at what appeared to be others doing something exciting and fun every day.. Then two things happened. People began to envy and try to imitate celebrities rather than morality. The wealthier and more bodacious the celebrity, the better. The more obscene and insane behavior was particularly envied. Second, people began trying to show themselves as having fun and being successful on social media. They only posted comments and photos that made them look good to others. Particularly, women took selfies, and they also began to alter those photos to look even better to those who checked their photos. In short, people began focusing on themselves and money. Morality and character went out the window. All of a sudden, all the old rules were off... In fact, the more unrestrained behavior was often glorified. And there you go. America is now Rome, waiting for the fall. The way things are going? It won't take too long to get there.
R.I.P. Ronnie ed Estelle..
OKAY, LOL. Watched it again. I could watch it every day. EVERYTHING about this song and routine is JUST PERFECT !!! Oh, tell me they did NOT do the stroll, OH my God !!! Jimmy, they did the Stroll. All three are so on time, the movements, the back-to-Back, and the way the two keep it living as the chorus, with her movements and dance, the way she pauses a bit just at the right time. Like Dean Martin would. If they had a few more BIG songs they would have been unstoppable !!! They had a few, but the competition back then was strong. They were so good !!! AND fully dressed. Another plus, matching outfits. Just perfect !!!
Thanks for your nice comments...By the way, Ronnie and Estelle's mother MADE their dresses by hand! Cousin Nedra's mother was her sister. Together, they kept a close eye on the girls, allowed no funny business! That's how it was, back in the day. Parents actually protected their children. Nedra Talley (cousin) on the left Estelle (Ronnie's older sister, in the middle) Veronica (on the right)
@@PaulDePace Thanks paul for more info...you know how it is !!! Raised the right way, live the right way. So old school, home made dresses. Parents. I LOVE these three for the way they are.
@@michaeltaylor4856 Hey Michael... Yeah., wow, totally agree with your comments, love the way you put it...Raised the right way, lived the right way, (tried to do the right thing). The world, as we know, is in a major downward spiral. So, we go back in time, to another era, trying to relive some of that. I had, still have a huge, what most thought at the time, was the biggest Ronette's record & memorabilia collection in existence. I wouldn't argue. Part of that collection was about 30 professionally framed pieces of the Ronette's rarest 45's, albums, picture sleeves, posters, everything...mint. I had bought pieces from all over the world, whatever I had to do, pay, to get them. The framed pieces? Custom framed, triple matted, etc...beautiful. I heard that my favorite Ronette, Nedra Talley (Ross) had "kept almost nothing, had almost nothing" from back in the day. She is doing fine. Husband has had a long and successful career in media. But she just didn't keep anything. So I had this, well, kind of fantasy really. I just kept thinking, "I will call her, and ask her if she would like my framed collection as a gift..." One day, I called her husband (Scott Ross) at work. I didn't want to call Nedra directly,. I introduced myself to Scott Ross. I told him the deal. He said he would talk to Nedra, but thought she would be "thrilled" with my offer. I was the one who was thrilled when Nedra's name popped up on my Caller ID the next day. We talked for over an hour. She filled me in on all the blanks about the Ronette's history. So sweet, so humble, so patient. She said she would love to have the pieces. She was ecstatic. So excited. She said she would love to have anything that I would spare for her. I told her I had 27 framed pieces, described them. I said, "That is a LOT of wall space. Maybe you can give a few to your children?" She said, "They can take them when I am gone! I am keeping every one of them!" She said she had a nephew that would help her find the right spot, the right home for each piece put up in their home. She said "Scott is totally supportive." So I sent them UPS, pristine packing. The mailing tab alone was over $1000. Long story short, Nedra has EVERY one of those pieces up in her home in Virginia. Can you imagine? I have this crush on Nedra as a teen... Now I am a senior, and she has all my stuff hanging in HER home?! Crazy how much I love thinking about that! I am not one of those who gets starry-eyed about celebrities. I have met my share. But Nedra? She is in a different category. Anyhow...lot of Ronette's history is easily found on-line, and in Ronnie's book "Be My Baby" which takes you up to a point, after Ronnie's split with Phil Spector. Yes...it was another era. It is sadly gone forever. Now all anyone ever does is stare at their cell phone and call up Uber Eats for dinner. Nobody is looking in each other's eyes. Nobody is shaking hands. Nobody is opening doors. People can't even say they are "sorry" about anything. So we think about those times, and are grateful that, at least, we were born at a great time, and have those memories to cling to... Thanks again for your note Michael... Paul in Texas
