I love pigeons, they're so noble harmless creatures and I feed them mixed seeds regardless that some of my neighbors against it. I even have some named. 🙂

There's a better chance you'll get sick from your dog or cat than a pigeon.

@Shekinah Alabi\ We share a closer genetic relationship with dogs & cats than we do with birds which allows viruses to jump between us more easily, plus, our confinement with dogs & cats is typically much closer and that exacerbates the risk.
@Shekinah Alabi\ For dogs & cats there is also Cat Scratch Disease, Hookworm, Tapeworm & Ringworm.

Have had quite a few of them in the last 10 years , never got sick .
I think you're just afraid of birds in general.

I think its cool to employ hawks at the airport to keep planes safe. For bigger waterfowl birds like geese, some airports use border collies. If the dogs chase the geese away enough times, they'll get frustrated and not come back.

FYI in my country Indonesia, we compete pigeons in a race 1 vs 1 and the competition has a few obstacles. Pigeons can strike from the sky with the female as the target. The speed of strike almost like a peregrine falcon.

Russia, sewing devastation on their neighbours, whilst racing bikes and pigeons back home! Not gonna watch. If I was a Russian, I'd beat my own pigeons to Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, or any country that would take me, rather than accept the unacceptable. Sadly only a few thousand of the 150 million Russians have such standards.
