All those scientists & divers risking their lives for a miniscule marine creature bla bla" but seeing how much this means to the team, the depths of their combined passion for this thumb sized animal is overwhelmingly wonderful. In our difficult world of both man made catastrophes & natural ones, the greed of people & the uncaring attitude to our planets great natural beauty both above & below the seas & lakes. Im so interested in these videos. Im facinated by Lake Baikal & watch all videos on this lake. Thank you so very much for this i loved it. Ive just subscribed to yr channel.
The enthusiasm of the scientists is great to see. Without their dedication and enthusiasm, people who are fascinated by the deep sea would not have a look into that realm. So I am glad they're there.
This kinda of educated humanitarian activity, makes me wish that the U.S. and Russia could find a way to work together. Instead of always fighting and posturing by our governments! So much more could be accomplished....

one thing i will thow out there: "hundreds of people die from venomous jellyfish every year compared to at most ten people dying from a shark attack" is SOMEWHAT misleading... get hit by a venomous jellyfish, two things happen: you spend an excruciating vacation in the ICU or you die... a shark: you die or you get your leg ripped off and you live the rest of your life a cripple, and hopefully you got good insurance, or you live with a stub for sometimes a year or two whilst waiting for Medicaid to pay for a cheap, ugly, shitty prosthetic for the rest of your life... CHEW on that one!😅

Yes and now imagine what we will find under the ice on Saturn and Jupiter’s moons! I am so thrilled for project firefly and the new mission to Venus, we may find micro single felled organisms, or we may indeed have a society of alien octopuses on those moons!

Wow! The variety of life in the deep sea is mind blowing. Up til about 60 years ago, scientists thought the deep sea was sterile and devoid of life. Now we know that it is a habitat rich with life (I'm not sure why scientists thought the deep sea was so empty of life because the Challenger expedition of the 1870s brought up all kinds of deep sea creatures but they did).
