English pronounce it like Jamaica which is the same way they'd pronounce Did you make her (D'yer Maker). It's a little joke that's a play on words. Also if you listen to the lyrics of the song it's about a man who doesn't want his woman to go. It was she who wanted to go. Nope not a joke...they did everything!
Every single band ever, wishes their catalog was as good as Zeppelin’s........There were a lot of great bands, but none compared to the mighty Zep.
*Another Led Zep fan who is Smart Asphuck!* 🔥
Nah that’s a little too far
This is my favorite Zeppelin song. It brings back so many awesome memories. I went to college in 1995 and we use to play this track a lot back then. My friends and I were on a 60’s kick. The Doors,Pink Floyd,Led Zeppelin,Steve Miller and others. We still listened to hip hop, metal, grunge but for a while there we were listening to a lot of 60’s and 70’s music. The acid and mushrooms we were “experimenting” with might of had something to do with it lol
Love your reactions, man. I've seen a bunch of the earlier Zeppelin reacts, but I have a feeling you would have a blast literally doing every single song on their last album before John Bonham died. It's called In Through the Out Door. They are at the top of their game at that point. When I was a kid I thought it was too pop but now that I'm older and I've been a musician my whole life, it's just mind-blowing.
I LOVE all of their music! This is my 2nd favorite Zeppelin song, only behind Stairway to Heaven. This is my favorite reaction video that I have seen from you thus far. The way you reacted to this song and seeing you dance and get into it is EXACTLY how this song makes me feel. I am now a subscriber and look forward to following along on your journey. God bless 🙏
The Lemon Song from Led Zep 2
*That one was just done today with Mini Van! LOL Stop by our Patreon sometime. We will love to have you*
It's terrific to see people still grooving to Led Zep all these years later
“Babe I’m gonna leave you” is as sultry as they come
The live version from 69 is the best.
@@douglastaylor43 agree
Fire! Great Song, great groove, i love Led Zeppelin!
I don’t know if anyone has recommended it yet, but Heart preforming Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center, in front of Led Zeppelin is just magical. To me Heart are the only ones I would approve of covering Led Zeppelin.
*Someone definitely did! I’m going to do a Vote in Patreon for our next songs!*
@@LFRFAMILY DO IT.... Please!!!!!!! The performance is epic and Robert Plants reaction is something to see....It's important to note that the guys from Zep did NOT know that Jason Bonham(John's son) was going to be there, let alone be playing the drums on his Father's drum set! Also, this was an event awarding and honoring Zeppelin for their contribution to American culture and the performing arts.... it's a big honor and even more cuz they're Brits.
They also have an amazing cover of this song, they definitely do Zeppelin justice
Those girlss NAILED it
@@michaelgilbert197 also that Jason was wearing his father’s bowler and the love the guys gave Jason afterwards from the balcony , is just one of many reasons I just love this cover to pieces.
You truly have no idea the door you have opened. THE BEST, and I do mean THE BEST Rock band EVEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Reggae beat. JPJ does bass, keyboards (and mandolin in some songs).
*Hi Triple M! Eminem and M. I was hesitant in checking these guys out before. I thought they’d sound like all other bands. They surprised Thaphuck outta me. Pleasantly surprised.*
@@LFRFAMILY Thanks, Van! So glad you're giving them a chance. (Triple M; love it!) btw, would you be interested in some awesome CD's?
Love love love this song, my fave Led Zep!
When it comes to prog rock Zeppelin, RUSH, Jethro Tull and YES are pretty much the best there is or ever will be.
YES!!? I’ve got so much to learn. You’re Smart Asphuck
@@LFRFAMILY check out their song roundabout.
You forgot early Genesis
Absolutely awesome…
Grateful to hear you love this song,..
The entire babe Simple : Peanut butter and Jelly.
(Perfect combo)
Have you done "In My Time of Dying? by Led Zep? you need to.
This has been my favorite Zeppelin song since I was a kid. Thanks for reacting.
Bruh! Fool In The Rain is the other “Reggae” song they wrote
My personal favorite
Absolutely love your reactions bro!! Priceless!!! Keep rocking amigo!!!!
If you want more chill smooth stuff by them babe I’m gonna leave you is very smooth
*Absolutely! & THANK YOU!*
Great song 👍🔥
I'm a HUGE Zephead and "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is probably my favorite out of there entire catalogue.
An old friend of mine from work used to spit bars over Led Zep's entire album, "The Presence" while doing the dishes. He only ever listened to rap, but he absolutely loved the rhythm section on that album when I played it for him. He loved it so much, I gave him my cassette. He played it and rapped to it every night at work for months. RIP DeMarco.
Americans call it D'yer Mak'er. English pronounce it "Did you make her"...little tid bit...lol
*Thank you Michael! Yo, I’d love for you to check out our Patreon. SOOO many uploads in there recently. Thank me Later Bro*
40+ years of listening to this I never knew that. Always wondered about the name too. So Thanks!! I can now die peacefully! :)
English pronounce it like Jamaica which is the same way they'd pronounce Did you make her (D'yer Maker). It's a little joke that's a play on words. Also if you listen to the lyrics of the song it's about a man who doesn't want his woman to go. It was she who wanted to go. (In line with the joke about a man's wife going to the Caribbean and his friend asking 'Jamaica?' and the man says, 'No she went of her own accord'.)
That’s how we said it in my American high school.. 😎✌️
Man what a pleasure to watch your reaction to a Led Zep Classic. I just love this song. Cheers Brother.
Did’yer Mak’er. Now take take off the “Di” at the beginning and say what is left fast. It sounds like “Jamaica”.
Oh yeah 😂 never ever thought of that
“Jer-maker”, the way an Englishman might say “Jamaica”, haha
Greatest rock band ever. Love Zeppelin week!
jimmy page did play bass in the Yardbirds. check them out.
*He played along side JPJ?*
@@LFRFAMILY no alongside Jeff beck though.
@@LFRFAMILY Jimmy played bass in the Yardbirds for a bit, just so he could be in a band. Then their bass player came back, and Jimmy played guitar along with Jeff Beck.
Prior to that, Jimmy and Jonesy (JPJ) had worked together as studio musician's, so when Jimmy started putting together his own band, Jonesy's wife told him to call Jimmy... and the rest is history.
Hands down my favorite song from Led Zeppelin. And your reaction is totally me. LOL the vocals the drums the beats the guitar all on point. Love it
I’ve said it before they’re not my favorite band though they are in my top five but they are the best rock ‘n’ roll band of all time as far as hard rock/heavy metal goes no one could beat them the talent the song writing they would probably still be going if it wasn’t for the death of John Bonham
*DAMN! Bonzo died!? How old was he?*
@@LFRFAMILY Bonzo died in 1980, (he was 32).... alcohol intoxication.... It is said that he had the equivalent of 40 shots of alcohol in his system. He had choked on his vomit during his sleep. The guys were devastated and decided they could not replace him so they disbanded. Hence, their entire catalogue was basically created over a ten year period... 1969 thru 1979. To have such a huge body of work in that short time makes it even more EPIC!
You are Right. There are none better than the mighty ZEPPELIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
